:banghead::banghead::dunce::dunce: I just found that out. I took mine to the race it said "entry accepted then found no tuning options. :(. I hadn't fully looked at the details. I just knew I had this as an AE car so I didn't have to buy a car I would never use again. I was just coming back to put on the dunce hat

You're not a dunce...
....same thing threw me at first when I was checking the event out in order to do the OP. :)

I also used PD's "Courtesy Car" descriptor in OP instead of my usual "Car Is Supplied For Event".

The nice thing about a no tuning event with a PD supplied car is that you just get in and start driving like a bat out of hell…or at least you try to…Baseline is the same for everybody but setup like DS3 or Wheel(plus seat) and maybe an Oculus Rift kit...:dunce:

1:39.692 after 15 mins hopefully back on the game for some time

1:38.350, was 3 car lengths ahead after the first corner then muck up on the brakes, should be able to gt into the 37s

1:37.742

One of the things a car like this brings to the discussion, within my own mind, is: What "Driver Aides" do I need to enact in GT6 - and at what levels - to demonstrate the functionality in the sim car as like in... the... real... car.

I'm totally down with trying to master the simulation as coded with as little cotton between my hands and feet to the road as possible. Yet, where does the best image come through? Where does the code and the driver experience come together to demonstrate some of the incredible computer assists being built into the gestalt of a car?

Brings a desire to see PD add 'engineers' notes where maybe a paragraph lays out what made the code feel like the real car.

Or, a desire to have a whole set of new settings in the "cockpit" which take us through those tweakie little menus - just like in the real car.

< / I know: pipe dream... but, it is dream!

Oh, and what a wonderful sales tool that courtesy car was. After realizing I needed a LOT of time in this environment I had to go buy one. (/meh, in game only, but still.)

Noooo! after 3 hours into this event I'm at 1:33.013! whenever I'm that close to a full second I get frustrated and just have to get below, that menas I need to put in more hours into this!:banghead:
why could'nt I just got my 1:32 and be done with?:grumpy:

Also, I'm very suprised how easy the car was to drive... I've driven the Huayra a couple of times and thought it was super-hard to drive. maybe here the SRF makes for a big difference.

Oh how many 1:32 runs I screwed up in the penultimate corner!:dunce:
I should be happy but I think I screwed up atleast 10 laps that would have gotten me 1'st place.:grumpy:
Oh well, I tried...

Can anyone provide some tips because I suck at racing. The car just won't turn enough in the corners and I have put in more than 1 hour into trying to get the damn chip. This is making me super frustrated...

Interesting how half of you think it was easy and half of you think it was hard... I personally found it easy with ABS 1 and everything else off, DS3 and all. I don't know why though, as I usually can't gold things at all, but oh well.

Just take it slow. I know that is hard to just do, but it works. also, try turning active steering to mild, and if it still won't work, try strong.
