POLL: Do You Like The <1,000,000 Cr. Gift Restriction?

It's not only human nature, it's usually every animals or living beings nature to not do stuff without reason. The concept of a 'gift' is, however, a very simple one:
Giving something to someone else without getting a wordly good in turn and without asking for one. This doesn't take things like the joy you receive from making someone happy into account, of course.
The simple reason for the two different words 'trading' and 'gifting' to exist is that there is an inherent difference between those two.

Because, at times, you have to go with the most practical solution. And persecuting dupers and banning them wouldn't be practical, especially because it would be based on a very shaky legal foundation, at best.[/QUOTE/]

Not really it is what we tend to believe and wqnt it to be but infact it is a move made to get the option of a worthy return in time of need. If u really
Loom close at it it is very selfish and a law community has bound us to. This meanwhile hapoens unconsiess since it always has been done.

The caveman wanted to reproduce him self, but all wanted, how did he get the girl ? And light out from the others, needed to become the chief, eho became chief? Not only the strongest but the one that found food for the group. (same with wolf packs) so bring the women food and u get lucky  good old times.

Why would banning dupers and Bdayers be illegal? They broke the contract when they created multiple accounts containing wrong data on their person. (Bday, other points that are listed in the text where u click: I agree to terms of use...) totally legitimate for sony to do so. A company like sony is not dumb enough to let go such a point in a contract. Thats why unlike microsoft where they play to be online sony actually could clise down Psn anyday they want, wr havent payed the service.
But the other ine is probably right, get ready to buy stealth and polished up standards as premiums and the missing tracks and other stuff like championships (real 500 nascar series) we saw in tralers in upcoming costly DLC
After all the game is out for 4 months time to double the income with stuff we deserved from day one. Gotta love the internet age.

While I see PD's reason for it, it's just a stupid move.

Thank god I won't see "x1, x1, x1!" all over the market now, but you can't trade cars like the McLaren F1 or some UCD finds.

Was going to trade a 787B for a fully tuned ZZII...but that's going to change :/.

I am happy

Since Novemeber I have been buying up every +1M credit car I could find in OCD/UCD/NCD. I don't really trade with others, but I do dupe back the money I spend on them as I don't have time for endlessly grinding credits. I am now down to under 10 +1M credit cars left to find - most of which I am not particularly bothered about finding anyway. I have the credits in the bank now to buy all of them straight if I wanted to.

So yes, I am all set now thanks PD for my own personal garage - restrict away :)

gift (plural gifts)

(1) Something given to another voluntarily, without charge. (2) A talent or natural ability.
(3) Something gained incidentally, without effort.
Noun
trade (countable and uncountable; plural trades)

(1) (uncountable, UK) The commercial buying and selling of goods and services.
(2) (uncountable) International buying and selling of goods and services.
(3) (countable) Those who perform a particular kind of skilled work.
The skilled trades were the first to organize modern labor unions.
(5) (countable) Those engaged in an industry or group of related industries. It is not a retail showroom. It is only for the trade.
(6) (countable) The skilled practice of a practical occupation.
He learned his trade as an apprentice.
(7) (countable) A particular instance of buying or selling.
I did no trades with them once the rumors started.
(8) (uncountable, UK) The business given to a commercial establishment by its customers.
Even before noon there was considerable trade.
As you can see, there is a difference between the word 'trade' and the word 'gift' and rightfully so. THe intention a gift is given with does not come into play here. Bottomline is: No matter what you make it out to be, we have different words for 'gifting' and 'trading' because both describe an inherently different process.
'Drinking', 'eating' and 'breathing' are all done with the intention of survival, whether this decision is a conscious one or not, but they are still different processes. 'Gifting' is to 'trading' what 'drinking' is to 'eating'; two different processes that incidentally lead to down to a similar goal.

However, the point is a very simple: When a car is gifted, it doesn't require any kind of action on the receiving persons end. You might get one, but that one isn't necessarily tied to Gran Turismo 5. If you had to gift something from the game back in return, than and only than would your point be applicable to GT5. Which isn't the case.

Why would banning dupers and Bdayers be illegal? They broke the contract when they created multiple accounts containing wrong data on their person. (Bday, other points that are listed in the text where u click: I agree to terms of use...) totally legitimate for sony to do so.
It's legitimate to close down each and every account using false information. This doesn't necessarily mean closing down the duper's main account where the duped cars reside.

A company like sony is not dumb enough to let go such a point in a contract. Thats why unlike microsoft where they play to be online sony actually could clise down Psn anyday they want, wr havent payed the service.
Depending on the contract, even a payed service can be closed down anytime.
The reason Sony isn't banning the dupers is because:
Having an account with wrong information doesn't necessarily link to duping in GT5, paying the man power needed outweights the advantages it would have to Sony and PD implementing a solution is far more efficient, doesn't affect other games and, thus, with far less coleteral damage.

But the other ine is probably right, get ready to buy stealth and polished up standards as premiums and the missing tracks and other stuff like championships (real 500 nascar series) we saw in tralers in upcoming costly DLC

Meh, that's happening all over the place, so it is to be expected. I don't really mind paid DLC as long as it's worth it.

I dont say u are wrong but u elocating a phylological aspect . The root is that u can give when u have overflow and are hapoy to get back when needed. That is what makes a community. (our social system)

Gonna try it different way. What is a firework?? an event where hell lot of cash is beein literally burned. Why to impress people. First fireworks were held by monarchs to impress other monarcs at parties... It gives u a certain status a rank. So not blown for fun. Now there are still fireworks made by the state, still money burned but it is gained with all the food and drinks beein sold.... The woeld cup? Made for soccer fans? No it is a huge cash machine.
Kaz doesnt make GT for us fans but to get a way to buy Ford Gt's
This might better show what i mean.

I've got plenty of money to buy some nice cars but the cars I want never appear in the UCD so what's the point in grinding my backside off to get loads of money if I can't buy the car I want anyway? In over 1200 game days I haven't seen the VW Nardo once.

I've duped the odd car and done the backup thing a few times to get expensive cars for free but if that's what I want to do then why shouldn't I be allowed to do that? It's not like I'm cheating to progress through the game cause I'm at about 93% and have no intention of going much further!

Interesting.
60,40% of GTP users are cheaters.

And another that fell for the: I interpret stats like i want to game.

I voted it sucked and never Bdayed nor duped so read the thread before judging so fast.

But i think percentage is higher cause not everyone voted and some did cheat while they keep tellin they dont.
I couldnt cheat cause i forgot the password when i created my psn account and unfortunately typed the wrong email. Been to lazy to write sony how i could get em back 
That said i probably would have been to lazy to create acc and do the dupe lol
Damn i should make a back up playstation is old already

Interesting.

That is a wrong conclusion, but I think you already know that.
To not like a function that could be exploited by people who cheat -but wasn't designed to be used in that way- doesn't make one a cheater.

I for one have never duped a car, but I dislike the restriction.
I have two accounts and I race on both. I often send cars from my second account to my main account, because I use that one more often. The current restriction forces me to share the cars (which is not a problem in itself), but it also forces me to quit the game, relog, start the game, share a car, quit the game, relog, start the game, each time I want to use a 1M+ car that is not shared at that time. That is watching my DFGT go round and round 4 times for no good reason :) And all this is because PD wants to stop people from hoarding (even if that is how they have fun with the game).
It feels like something they should just let be. So what if people multiply cars!? It has been said many times before: It doesn't hurt anyone.
But well... I guess the elitists won. On behalf of the fair players who suffer from this change: Congratulations.👍

edit: Just read the post about it being temporarily. I am very glad.

we paid OUR MONEY its OUR GAME now LET the OWNERS of OUR game do what WE 🤬 WANT with WHAT WE 🤬 PAID FOR... COME ON PD!!

lol

PD doesn't want you abusing their game obviously otherwise they wouldn't have made a patch.

Chin up

Why?
I obtained my last car yesterday so I know have all cars, I wanted to give a free car to my friends on PSN but now can't send any cars over 999,999 Cr.

The Marketplace will go back to how it used to be, it will be more interesting too.

And for those of us who purchased certain expensive cars, they will rise in value over time.

You can't trade them.

As I usually say, this is what we all get when cheaters use the trading system for advantage. Honest pay for other's sins, unfortunately. But knowing that most of the best race cars on GT5 (not only the X2010) worth more than 1 million, I think this is going too far. I wouldn't be too bothered if this was a temporary action to prevent duping, but PD must come fast with an alternative solution for this problem that doesn't leave the gifting system crippled.

@ Luminis
And closing the main account would come in cause the owner created the fake ines providing fake information and statements so there would be no sense in only closing the sub account. And banned i didnt mean from GT but from PSN.

Sure they can close if you pay but they need to dedamage you so you have a certain guarantee especially if you got a couple million users.
