Which hypocrits voted for "like". God damned, yeah users are SO evil that they trade or dupe, oh noes! Who the **** cares! Great, now my gifting thread loses quality, I wanted to gift DTM cars and more, great PD. They simply do NOT know what they are doing.
Now come on tornado, you thinj the origrammers at PD are fools. You think they thaught: wow i have an awesome idea fir GT5 lets implement a Gift car thingy so they can generously send a car to a very good Buddy he met under a nickname, a guy he never met living in alaska.... Since they can write messages... But noo none of them is gonna use that to trade, after all it is a gift thingy.

Why did they lock the save files? Why the limit to trade a car in a day? They knew it and implemented it. Now everything is gone wrong and they try to limit the damage but hey wake up it aint no longer night of the duped cars it is already world of the duped cars (for those who dont get it it us a reference to the romero zombie movies) these measures come to late. Wonder why they unlocked the save games, i am pretty sure that it must be a legal issue and they didnt had the right to if people wanna access their save game. they new it was gonna happen because people already done it with the memory cards on ps2.
It is a shame how a devlopper can act that way but besides what does Od do except Gt games and merchandise???
Another problem, real driving simulator?? Then furst mistake was to add the mysery that is the X1, where is the lap time it did in Real ehere did it compete?? Me too i gonna design a car and say oh yeah it has a 15000 hp engine and in fact got suoer glue in the bumper that sprays on the road so tyres so really glue to the road and remover on the tyres so it unsticks again and this car beats everything ever seen. Ridiculous.
What was the beginning of GT?? How many race cars were there?
Now let me get 2 things straight, i aint no duper,nor a bdayer. Was even on of the first making a threqd about the madness we would face with it.

Surely the central point is that, once again, GT owners have been left in the lurch. I LENT someone my 12.5 million Ferrari (out of the goodness of my heart) so they could do the online challenges, and I wake up this morning to find that I can never have it back.
PD suck in a big way. Every time they do something right they turn round and do three wrongs to make up for it. Taking away the trading feature WITHOUT WARNING was an astonishingly bad-faith move, but it all too typical of their attitude. They seem to be constantly trying to catch up with their previous errors and alienating half their audience in the process.
Considering how many "lend me your F1 Ferrari" threads there are this month it is a real kick in the teeth from PD to disable that feature with a week still to go of the seasonal F1 challenge.

Gifting doesn't involve virtual money...
Trading does!
Therefore Gifting != Trading
What PD should do is unlock all cars (or at least all cars corresponding to your A-Spec level) in the Arcade mode!
Can you believe it? Some people bought the game to drive some virtual cars, not for buying and trading virtual cars, simulating a completely bogus economy where the cars devalue in an instant and you can't even sell the expensive ones!
Why can't PD do that? Oh I know, because this is a sane and usefull feature/addition! And this is not the way PD rolls...

You can't tell people how to play the game, trading was the only thing keeping this game fun for me,
Trading isn't the wrong way to play the game, it's fun and keeps things fresh

I just dont undersyand why so many limitarions in gt5. First the standard cars that look terrible. Then the fact that we cant change the rims on the cars. Then came the one car per day trade limit. Now we cant even trade cars worth trading. An example, i got gold in one of the amg mercedes challenges and was given a clk gtr. A few days later i got a lvl 1000 ticket, used it and got the very same car. I cant sell it and now i cant even trade it.....trading was a cool feature of gt5. I personally dont want to have to grind the same rave over and over again. That is not fun. Driving cool cars is. Now to do so you are being forced to participate in long drawn out races against oblivious opponents...how can anyone buy an x2010 now? Or a ferrari f1? Trading made them accesible to people who dont have hours to spend behind the tv. Who have jobs or go to school or universities...i just dont know what pd are thinking. It may be hard to admit but GT is growing stale.....

Doesn't really bother me even though I have duped some cars in the past, although for some strange reason I never could bring myself to do an F1 car.
I fail to see how they ruined the game by permitting you to still gift quite high value cars, 1 mill is a lot of credits, it takes a good few races to get that type of money (seasonal bonus races omitted). Just goes to show how gifting devalued cr's and high end cars. If PD really wanted to they could block users or even remove/reset all the cars that have been duped, so be glad with what you have.
Do I like the restriction? Yeah because it's a quite a generous restriction. Also I paid to play a racing game and limiting gifting (which is a nice addition to the game) doesn't detract anything in terms of playability, for me anyway.

It doesn't matter what I believe. Officially, all the Gifting system was ever supposed to be used for was Gifts.
Any and all trade set ups that the fanbase came up with are completely unrelated to the official feature set of the game, and are therefore not adequate justification for acting like one has a vested interest in what this update brought to the table.
Yeah, no. How about you learn to respect other people and not resort to calling them "kids" and "scum" when how they play the game isn't your business in the first place.
Gifting as we know it, even exists in the most uncivilized cultures (this is not meant as bad term but ohh trivial i think is the correct term) called by indios in the americas as Potlach, that means that u have to gift, the one that get this Gift has to return the favour sometime or loses his face and standard. But that is not enough he has to return an even better gift to you or same as not gifting occurs. So gifting in fact is a kind of trading. And it definates your social standing. Font believe me? So what do you do every year around christmas or friends BDays??? In a potlach there is the military one were you burn down a whole Village of ours and he will have to do the same with a bigger one or loses his stand.
So now again is trading always on equal value? Dont Value differ for everyone? Wouldnt (if your car is in game) and it is super rare and u havent got it for 3 months spending in the used every second... Wouldn this car be more worth to you than some other car that is around 400000 cr more expensive??

I am not saying that this will happen, but if it would happen the GT5 apologist wouldn't just accept it, they would be happy about it! Talk about some blind faith...
I know I won't stick arround. I want racing game/sims which are fun, not grinding simulators and developer worshiping...

But, as I said a few weeks back, I'll be laughing my rear off once PD prevents people from duping and so on.
Why am I this way, though?
1) People claiming that PD doesn't mind the glitching and duping and that it's not cheating, because they wouldn't allow it otherwise. Well, seems like that wasn't so true after all.
2) People claiming that it was the only way to get anywhere in GT5 while retaining a real life. Wasn't like that, isn't like that and, well, I can't help but laugh at people who feel the need to reason their actions like this; especially if they're besically telling everyone who doesn't do it their way that they can't possibly have a life.
3) People being smug about it in general. 'Oh, look, I've got ten X2010s, all of the expensive cars, wee, I'm so clever! Stupid non-dupers are stupid'.
Basically, I'm just being gleeful right now
