Not sure if it is the complete v3.0 but for sure includes graphical improvements for the Pro:

"Furthermore, the demo showcases the Xbox One X, and PlayStation®4 Pro enhancements that will be rolled out in an imminent update, as well as the extensive virtual reality support in the PC version of Project CARS 2."

Think I might get myself the full game for $25, even though I have it for PC. It plays so well on PS4 with the controller now. Looks good for a console game and all the other good stuff that i know about already. Will have to think about it.

@Sick Cylinder you will be happy to know that there is a new Audio Option
Great!! My Buttkicker just arrived and I have installed it. Now learn how to get the best rumble effects. First for me reading the manuals how to connect to which audio port on my PC. Although a very expensive HP Omen it looks like it doesn't have a sub out :irked:. Also the rumble effect when conected to an office chair is much more intense vs my Playseat installation?! Probably/hopefully it is just my learning curve and everything will be ok after a couple of days:confused: Anyone any tips? More then willing to learn!

On topic: great extra audio option!!

Are you using SimVibe? I know that when I first tried bass transducers trigger by sound alone the effects weren't very good. SimVibe made a huge difference, and makes more sense (physics based).

What is SimXperience SimVibe
SimXperience SimVibe is an advanced, multi-dimensional audio based feedback software (for racing simulators and cockpits) that utilizes one to eight bass transducers (ButtKickers, Bass Shakers, etc..) to provide the correct physics based vibrations at each corner of your simulator and throughout the simulator. This greatly enhances immersion and drivability. It's a great companion to our already immersive motion simuators but can be applied to motionless simulators as well.

You'll feel every available detail of the road surface, engine and transmission in the correct placement on your simulator via 3D spatial vibrations and reverberations.

Thanks!! I installed the 30 day trial version and will play around with it. And now watching some older Youtubes of ISR

Gave a quick try to the demo (after an infuriating experience with the PSN-PS Store. Each day is getting worse.)

Although I am not as hyped as others are I can see the great improvements over the full game.

The audio now works much better through my 5.1. Great job. It sounds better from the inside and now replays sound more realistic.

Visuals are definitely better in the Pro. The addition of the slider between resolution, frame rate or visual enhancements is clever. There are no elements popping up in the distance and there is much better antialiasing and LOD. However, in the Huracan, when the car gets close the interior gets blurry (very), to the point of not making out any detail of the interior/driver. Also, if you zoom quite close to the car you never get it defined.

It is just a demo and I’m sure they will polish these details out.

All in all, a leap in the right direction. Can’t wait to have this improvements across the whole game.

Edit: Wrong thread... Meant to write it in the patch and updates one. My bad!

It's just three preset events.

While every part of the options menu is present, you can't alter the race parameters in the demo.
What about FOV? Currently when you increase it in chase cam the camera view gets wider, but the camera moves closer to the car instead of further away.

Bought the game today & put in around 6 hours. Mostly testing different cars on different circuits. Only negatives to mind:
-It's not as easy to setup and play as the first. Took me a while to get to settings I was comfortable with on the wheel. The default setup for the roads cars is awful; tires are the key to actually enjoying the road cars at their best and not letting the game decide.
-Haven't run into any real bugs except in one session, a sound started looping. Went away soon as I quit. Also in 2-3 sessions, certain commands would not function such the Pit Request and Camera view.
-This is likely tied to the cars' real behavior , but the F40/Diablo with full clutch/manual transmission don't react to downshifts like some of the other cars. Downshift and the revs just drop all the way until you touch the throttle. Had a couple moments at Imola in the F40 coming into the first corner and shifting down through 2 gears with the revs dropping all the way down to idle. Once I touched the throttle, they shot right back up. Set the clutch to automatic, downshifted and the car behaved as expected.
-Really would have liked this view to return, but personal preference.

Other than that, the game is fine and I still have quite a few other cars I want to mess with before diving into the racing atmosphere.

Did you notice the presence of "OEM" default setups for road cars? THey should have correct (slower) tires and road-oriented setup

I also thought it is a bug, but I have made research and in older racing cars heel and toe is crucial. Try to learn it, i have and I am proud of it :)

I downloaded the demo but there is a problem:
''The program can't start because VCOMP140.DLL is missing from your computer.Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem''

Edit: problem resolved.

After trying out pCARS 2 last night on my brother's brand new PS4 Pro, I have to say I was really impressed with the game! The Huracan was such a wonderful drive, but the Renault and Ferrari...those two had me on edge and were pretty difficult to handle haha. Not because of the controls or anything, but because I was attempting to get used to the game's physics. It's was so damn realistic, especially in the wet! 👍

Overall, this game was a blast and the controls are so much better now. Props to SMS for taking care of that. The look of the game however....was in my honest opinion, good. Not too beautiful or ugly, just right, cause you know, it's a racing game so the racing part should be more important in a sim like this one. The rest, I am lost for words. That's how good the game is!

I wish I could've tried out the snow condition, just to get a glimpse of how difficult pCARS 2 really is. :D :D

Yes, I’ve seen it. Some cars like the 918 still feel strange, so I’ve taken it as a point to manually setup the cars myself and learn how anyway.

That’s what I figured. Heel and toe on the game pedals feels like learning all over again compared to my old car.

I guess this is where I can ask this.

Does anyone know what water and oil temps GT3 cars should run? I’m setting up a 911 GT3R at Donnington for a 6 hour race, and the radiator is at 90% open. The temps won’t go below 210F and is damaging the engine, any tips?

Somehow I've become trapped with the Light HUD. I played F1 2017 the other night and that game uses a different preset on my Fanatec wheel. Started PCars2 last night and immediately noticed I was on the wrong setting. Paused the race, changed presets, came back into the race and my Cockpit HUD was gone and the Light HUD was in it's place.

Paused the race again and went into the HUD settings but I can only choose between the bottom 3 buttons Save, Cancel , and Restore to Default. Even then my A button won't select any of them. I can't go up and cycle through the HUD options.

I even hooked up my regular controller and went into the HUD settings but the only way I can cycle through the HUD options is to use the joystick and hover over the arrow, hit A and it will cycle through. But even then when I hit save, it doesn't save it. If I return to the race the Light HUD is back on. So somehow I've screwed this up and I can't figure out how to get Cockpit HUD back.

Question time!

I popped PCARS 2 in again the other day to finally give it a shot with my T150 wheel. I drove like an utter novice and crashedjust about everywhere.

The T150 has a mode button that allows you to change the degrees of rotation. Think I had mine set to 200 or something, and when I was done, I just uplugged everything.

I played the game again on a contoller today, and I noticed in the cockpit view that the wheel only turns at 200 degrees or so, the last setting i had for my wheel.

Is their any way to quickly reset this on a controller so I'm not understeering everwhere, or do I need to plug he wheel back in to change it?
