What happened to this game?, every new build I see or try out gets less and less impressive. It's not even out yet and I'm already sick of it.

In which ways is it getting worse do you think?

Serious question as I would like to know.

Could you maybe expand that criticism into something a little more constructive?

The Formula A and Formula B sounds aren't final right guys, I haven't had time to keep up with the WMD forums due to University stuff.

None of the sounds are final, no.

For starters, the impressive graphics this game had back in 2011 are gone now, it get's to the point of being overdone and unrealistic, the sounds are suffering from this too. They are still using Shift's sound samples for the most part and they just keep adding effects, now the cars sound unnatural and the gear changing effects just sound forced.

It was so great back in 2011 because it was simple, now it's just trying too hard (just like Shift 2 did) I don't know, I find it boring already.

It was worse back in 2011, and your imagination was filling in all the blanks with whatever you thought would be best. So it seemed like the world's greatest game.

Now that more of the stuff is in place there's less room for hoping that certain things will be done the specific way you want. Nothing wrong with that, but it wasn't a great game back in 2011. It was just some random LODX models and ribbons in the sky.

I think everybody is going to go through a phase where they get disappointed that it's not exactly the game they envisioned. Hopefully it turns out to be good enough that everyone can still appreciate it.

I jumped on last night to have a bit of a practise in the Lotus 49 in preparation for it coming out on iRacing, and had a whale of a time.

So it's the graphics and the sounds? I am not sure that you would like the conclusions people would draw based on those being your gripes.

I've been following the development of this game (not a member) for at least a year and a half, and I'd have to be insane to say that it's not getting better or more impressive with each build, graphically and soundwise. With that said, there still are improvments to be done, obviously. But worse than back in 2011? Not in a million years.

Still no firm decision has been made on that, but it does appear as if consensus will be for PS4/XBone, with an option, possibly, of retroactively porting it to XB360/PS3.

Is not the opposite?

You're right, originally that was the way it was supposed to be, but Ian Bell basically said that 'We're running tight on time, and potentially money, we need to work out where to concentrate now'. There still hasn't been a vote on the matter yet.

Ok, that makes sense.

That last shot with the SLS is what I'm talking about, it so unrealistic it almost looks like a Mario game.

Really a Mario game? Yeah the clouds look the same and so does the moon in that pic.I must have missed the turtle and bananas.

(Not sure if sarcasm)

The clouds look fairly good to me. And coming from England, I think I have the right to comment ;) they're slightly false looking, but certainly not bad!

I was only joking about the clouds, what does coming from England have to do with the Stratocumulus clouds in the pic,we have clouds in Canada too!Really big fluffy ones.:sly:

What's wrong with it, just the clouds? Yes they still need work but the game isn't finished. Things have to look bad/unfinished before they look good.

The sounds are the same, not a single car is finished in terms of sounds yet.

The game is do out in the early quarter or 2014,be patient, they still have 6 months of development to go.Who the hell watches the clouds when their driving anyway? If your taking a pic simply insert whatever clouds you want with your editing software.

Because we see more cloud than sun;) haha, I was only joking anyway. Do the clouds move / change in P CARS or is it a fixed weather system?

I'm actually not quite sure.It has been 110 degrees here for the last week we could use a few clouds and some rain.Yes I did say 110 in Canada.Hot and sticky as hell my AC is going non stop.

Why are you quoting me with that statement?
