Will we be able to upload & download tunes while in-game?
Unfortunately, no.

I'm hoping we'll see something like that later, but so far we know nothing about that.

That is very disappointing. Being able to click on a few buttons & download a tune in a few seconds would make the sim a lot easier to use, as apposed to trawling through internet forums & writing them down before going to the game & inputting all the data. Very disappointing indeed.

I hope they do sort something out like an online tune library.

like iTunes?

Seriously, i'm sure setups will be easy to save and load in the game folder somewhere like with every other sim.

Otherwise the engine tune is all I want to hear.

While people may find a work round for PC. Consoles are extremely restrictive which is a tremendous shame for console users.

I agree, it made a huge difference to the long-term longevity of Forza Motorsport 4, as people would build cars to take on global leaderabords and then share those tunes on their personal storefronts. Tuners and Painters would collaborate and create a car that they could release for example.

The saving/sharing of tunes is one of the big things missing from Gran Turismo 6 and it would be a disappointment if Project CARS is also missing this feature.

You could gift cars with tunes in GT5. Maybe there could be same kind of gifting system in Pcars? Instant success patch!

3 Things i wanted to ask:

Seems there's not much (no?) wind noise when driving at high speeds?
Does your windscreen get dirty when driving longer races?
Can you hear the public in the stands AKA cheering or airhorns?

Thanks in advance 👍

No need to gift cars when all the cars are free. Perhaps a tune sharing function will come later.

1)at moment no. however most of these cars don't have any sound proofing so all you can hear is the engine anyway which pretty realistic.
2)yes the windscreen and car can get dirty.
3) no

Thanks for the reply. Well i guess IRL wind noise does get pretty dramatic especially in open wheelers, so i wish they would have made it more prominent. For the windscreen that's oil and bugs? And 3 is a shame as crowd noise adds a lot to the atmosphere, any chance they will implement that still before release?

Cheers

Surly that would take away the fun of tuning, just downloading a tune wouldn't work for me. When tuning and testing a car your learning the behavior of the car, and what works best for that car/track.

I have never tuned a car on GT before myself and plan to get into car tuning on project cars, just take a car on a track and try to get the best lap time possible in that car.

The crowd should be there only in race sessions.

They should make noise though

They do. Willfred is wrong in this case. You can hear the announcer speaking, some air horns and a general cheering sound.
Good to hear (see what i did there?), now some wind noise and confirmation on the dirty windscreens (saw it in an i racing video and found it a classy touch + Shift 2 had it already), and this might just be the greatest racing game ever.
