i just figured something out. we're on Build 998 now? SMS must have deliberately put this ghosting blur effect bug in so they'd have an excuse to do 2 more builds to fix it so they'd get to the big 1000 and we'd all be super happy!

I said weeks ago that the game will be build 1000 on release day (7th of May) as a kind of ironic coincidence and people dismissed it......Looks like i could be right after all!! Lol! :)

I would like to ad something to the ghosting issue. The way I'm dealing with this issue is trying not to get upset. If there is one thing that has been demonstrated by Sms is there ever going dedication to the players and to the game. Time is the issue here. I don't believe it's a question of will they, but a question of when. But as always, I do like a good debate so have in some ways enjoyed the back in fourth that this issue has created. I could be wrong. I know nothing when it comes to programing or writing code but it's not going to ruin my fun on the 12th. Almost there!! :D:D:bowdown::D:D

I don't see any ghosting:

GTA is 30fps which can generate ghosting on the TV - but it's not in the game.

It's noticeable in different situations, especially when moving fast (which is always the case in project cars) or turning the camera very fast. can't really see it on this youtube video but on my tv

GTA5. And I never heard anyone complaining about this issue in the GTA section/reviews

Dont think so, Cannot see any blurring from this PS4 footage and i've played through TLOU 3 times on PS4 so far and did not notice it on that either (someone mentioned it was on that also)

If your seeing blurring on your TV i dont think it's the same situation as PCars.

Maybe it's subjectiv but I did notice it in GTA (even before this discussion). I could be wrong with TLOU, didn't play it for half a year.

I believe it could be the best console racer of all time. Largely because PCARS knows what its trying to be. A racing simulator. Everything I've read and seen makes me believe the physics and tire model are the most advanced any console player has encountered and all the options being made available to customize the experience only makes me more excited. When all those things are thrown into a game centered on replicating auto racing, I'm all in for the best racing game I've ever played.

project cars dev speaks on ps4 issues day one patch and how quality is ****ing important:

+1

For me, it is already the best console racer

Why wouldn't Sony certify it? The have certified unplayable brokenness a lot worse than this. Look at Driveclub for instance. And the "oh well" part is typical of WMD members. it seems as if it's OK to say anything about Project CARS as long as it isn't critical.

This post made my day, thanks for that. I m known as one of the most critical members at WMD, some would even say overly critical. That you put me, of all people, in the pcars blind defenders drawer is beyond hilarious. "Oh well" meant nothing but that I personally dont care much about this issue since I only see this ghosting if I look hard for it in very slow corners way to the side of where the action is. You may find it much more obvious and have much more issues with it, thats fine but not my problem. I posted @ WMD that a bunch of people here are throwing a hissy fit because of this ghosting, so my job in this case is done. Have a nice day.

I am Setting up an release party with some friends and wonder if we are able to do free racedays online. So basically practice with any cars on a track with unlimited laps?

Yes, free practice is not limited in any way (laps, fuel, time, whatever...). You can basically start a free practice and do laps until your PS4 explodes. Disclaimer: Please dont do that.

Just a question...so if I don't use the motion blur/use the other cameras I shouldn't have the issue right?

My understanding and please, anyone can correct me if I'm wrong, but the 'problem' motion blur people are talking about is actually AA or more specifically, a TXAA process which is used on the PS4 version only so no, it can't be switched off. The D1P may fix it but is unknown at this stage. I see it as not a bug as such but a technique that's been employed for reasons I'm not sure! I think they may run into problems if they disable it totally as I assume its there for a reason but wonder if it can be toned down? I played it at Game and my opinion on a very quick shot is on this post https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...-wii-u-xbox-one.261206/page-503#post-10660044

Thank you for the explanation, and after revisiting some PS4 footage from Team VVV I've been reassured. Thank you sir! 👍 :)
