watching Motorsport UK at the mo; Renault Clio Cup at Brands Hatch followed by Ginetta GT4 Supercup. looks great and pretty good timing with the game just coming out. makes me want to play more than watch though for sure!

I race with a guy in PCARS, gt6 before that, that actually races the Ginetta GT4 Supercup, Reece Witherspoon, quick on console too.

I have a question.

Obviously you can have multiple career saves, but do invitations, historic goals, accolades and endorsements carry over multiple save files?
I'm not sure I understand the question 100% but I'd have to say no. Every new career is fresh, so it has no recollection of your past accomplishments.

It's a no, I've got two careers and depending on the last played it has those accolades/invitations/goals etc. in your driver network profile. It's not really an issue though.

Thanks.

So if I wanted to do a zero to hero goal, could I start that after say playing a few GT3 seasons if I went back to karts and then worked my way back up?

What platform are you running on??, What have you played prior to PCARS??
I'm asking because I also invested $$$ to be able to play PCARS on PS4, Hope I can say the same.

All Purchased for PCARS:
Thrustmaster T300 RS
TM Leather 28 GT Wheel Add-On
Thrustmaster T3PA-PRO
PCARS for PS4 (waiting as this is a US pre-order)
PCARS Limited Edition for PS4 (waiting as this was ordered from Game.ca.uk as I really want the Limited Edition Metal Box and Book)

Again, I hope I don't get disappointed, so far the only thing that is worrying me is the PS4 soft graphics compared to the XBONE.
For what it's worth, I have/had most every racing game every made (not many arcade type though) on both console platforms and computers. I've raced with gamepads and a number of different wheels. While I can't comment on pCARS on the current generation consoles (may purchase for my X1 just because), I'm having no "major" problems and enjoy many "parts" of Project CARS on the PC (TX wheel). With that said, with the setup you described I don't see why you would be disappointed BUT don't set your expectations TOO high. Every game ever made has experienced bugs or peculiarities, it's those with unrealistic expectations that are usually disappointed.
There will also be those that must have certain features or are set-in-there-ways and don't accept change very well, no game meets everyone's preferences.
Ever go to see a movie ($10 per ticket) after weeks of watching trailers and reading favorable reviews only to be disappointed.... then the times of watching $1 Redbox movie, not hearing opinions prior, and enjoying the heck of it even though the after reviews don't align with your opinion... expectations!

This game has multiclass racing. That is enough

It's Sunday finally I have some time to play more Project CARS. Yesterday before work I only played in a sunny dry road environment so far on the Azure Coast. Crikey damage is extreme on this game it's scary. Hit a post on the road or some other blockade and it took off my rear right wheel , ughhhh wasn't expecting that!

So I turned the realism features off for now until I can get used to the handling of this game. Can anyone recommend a nice car to drive. So far I've only driven the Caterham Seven and the Ford Escort testing out the controls and visuals settings etc.. I haven't done any races yet. Was doing what SMS recommended which was to have a relaxing drive free practice run on the coastal roads first.

I'm trying to drive slow to fast cars to keep the "something to look forward to" factor at bay. Even with Miths settings you still have to be careful on the steering as I noticed turn too much or too suddenly the car tends to twitch and veer to said direction. The feel with Miths settings is better than default but it doesn't cure the twitchy feel of steering only lessens it to a degree, which I'm grateful for. So far exploring the settings myself haven't found any setting that can cure it.
I don't think this was answered. The Ariel Atom Supercharged is a ton of fun. I've probably spent half my time so far in that car, trying to figure out tuning and FFB. Oversteer on command through a flick of the wheel but controllable at the edge when you get the hang of it. Low top speed but gets there quickly. Just a sheer pleasure to drive on every track I've tried including the Nurb. The supercharger sound is spot on too IMO, after checking YT videos.

The BAC Mono is like the track day version of the Atom, similar handling but feels like more grip overall and a little more responsive. Just an insane amount of fun at Cadwell Park trying to come to grips with all the undulations and bumps and get that golden lap that always seems to be just out of my grasp.:ouch:

You can see how smoooooooooooooth the PS4 version is here even compared to the PC version which has more jaggies (although much nice graphics)

I have never raced on any of the Real Simulators (iRacing, rFactor etc.), I have only raced on PS3 on the following Always with a wheel (Driving Force GT and Then G27), I have never raced with a controller, that is why I invested in the Thrustmaster for PCARS on PS4:

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue
Gran Turismo 5
Gran Turismo 6
SuperCar Challenge
Ferrari Challenge
NFS Shift
Shift 2 Unleashed

So, As you can see, I am not as Hardcore as some of the folks here, I just love to race, its so much fun, but I have only raced online a few times as I only found people there that are not serious about racing, they just want to win and if they are not winning, they try to RAM you off the track.

I'm just being honest here, I don't see that much of a difference between these screenshots. To me they are all close enough that if I was trying to decide which platform to buy the game on, graphics would not factor into the consideration. I can see the slight differences, I just don't think it would matter much to me at speed.

Glad I wasn't the only one

Words cannot describe how terrible drivers are online. I know it's usually a s###show when it comes to racing games, but I thought at least pCARS would be spared from them to a greater extent. Had some great racing though, but most of the time, it's a wreckfest. Should've expected less from public rooms I guess.

9 races, 8 pole positions, 4 wins and 5 podiums so far.

:P

I agree, the pictures are close, but that is the still pictures, when you look at actual video, there is an obvious difference between XBONE and PS4, and I have to say, XBONE looks way better to my eyes!!!

[60fps] Project Cars PS4 vs Xbox One Real-Time Comparison

Sorry for interrupting the console wars, just want to know if this is how its meant to be:

I started my career in the Renault Clio cup. When the game started I selected Pro. Now I´m a little bit confused. When I cut corners there is no penalty, when there are Crashes there are no yellow flags, and the strangest thing is the Start. It seems there is a huge tolerance for an early start. I tested it:
Here is what I do: Sometimes I put in 1st gear and go on the Gas, sometimes I go on the Gas first and put in 1st gear when its green. It seems that I have a tolerance from 1sec. to start before its green. That can give me a huge advantage. Every rules in game is set to realistic, damage and penalty are on.
I wonder if this is, because its somewhat of a starter event or if the game is so forgiveable ?

Noticed that too, if i start moving before the green light goes on i don't get a penalty.

I usually drive with my t300. When I start Pcars with the ds4 and I set up the controller, will it save my t300 settings (I made earlier) and load it up the next time I start the game with my wheel again?!

Is it not possible to join an ongoing online event that is in practice/warmup/qualifying session and then head out on the track? The "drive" option is always locked for me, but it seems that people that join in after me are heading out on the track.

Rather boring to stare at that countdown for several minutes. You can't even spectate the session. :(
