The bugs are really not too large of a deal, there are tons of minor issues but nothing too intrusive that would ruin the experience. It can make you facepalm but the enjoyment pCARS provides makes it worth it!
Well there are bugs that ruin the experience like maybe the game crashing on the Xbox one so the people on Xbox One can't enjoy PCARS

Can't wait until tomorrow:D Its gonna feel like Christmas lol. Hopefully it won't take long to download, i got a pretty good connection and stuff so im pretty sure it won't:)

I have a very poor dsl connection and it downloaded a lot quicker than I expected. 'Tis nice to be able to able to play the game in a limited state after the first 4-5gigs downloads, too, so the wait isn't too bad.:)

Just installing now. Can't wait to try it out.

Anyone have an idea of how many seasons we can do in one career mode? Is it unlimited or is there a max? Would like to know. Also just wondering what length races you are all doing? Im doing 100% race length in Clio cup at the moment working my way slowly to the Endurance series. Ive also got a kart save but will get back to that later.

One of the benefits about also going to own the Wii U version is that the limited edition should be easy to get a hold of...or harder since Nintendo products usually sky-rocket in value...hope its the former!

I've never read anythinig about a limit @WMD. So my guess is, it's unlimited.

I don't think this was answered. The Ariel Atom Supercharged is a ton of fun. I've probably spent half my time so far in that car, trying to figure out tuning and FFB. Oversteer on command through a flick of the wheel but controllable at the edge when you get the hang of it. Low top speed but gets there quickly. Just a sheer pleasure to drive on every track I've tried including the Nurb. The supercharger sound is spot on too IMO, after checking YT videos.

The BAC Mono is like the track day version of the Atom, similar handling but feels like more grip overall and a little more responsive. Just an insane amount of fun at Cadwell Park trying to come to grips with all the undulations and bumps and get that golden lap that always seems to be just out of my grasp.:ouch:

Sounds like a nice car to drive Johnny. Also is it possible that the cars we are finding twitchy with steering on a controller is just down to the car itself being a car that more than likely has too much oversteer or understeer etc like it has in real life. I don't think its down the the inputs and controller itself.

Because today I just drove the Ginetta G40 Junior and there is no twitchyness at all, no oversteer the car feels perfect to handle and drive, it was such a bunch of fun this car you have to try it Johnny! and see what I mean unless your using a wheel. Whoever is using a controller and finds the twitchy issues a problem, drive the Ginetta G40 and tell me what you think with Miths controller settings.

But that said, the game is trying to mimmick behaviour of real cars. And every car feels different to handle in real life. So it may be just the caterham seven and other cars people are finding twitcy that is a tricky car that oversteers and feels twitchy. Maybe thats what the car feels like in real life. I wouldn't put the issue down to the controller after having experienced driving and handling on different cars.

That is a big possibility, yes. I only drove the G40 Junior for 4 or 5 laps at Donington and it is rock solid and stable like modern race cars are in real life. Other cars like the Caterham 7, Ariel Atom, BAC Mono are very oversteery and very sensitive to steering input, even with the wheel, and require a far less ham fisted approach. I don't use a controller but I could easily see the big differences in cars being an issue. It's something you have to adapt to and perhaps create a couple of different controller profiles based on what kind of cars you are driving.

I don't want to beat up on GT but it's a relevant comparison in this case. I raced a lot in GT and pretty much every car had a very similar feeling. FR's all tended to feel very similar with just slight differences in the amount of native under or oversteer. In PCars or any sim, the cars are dramatically different from each other in many cases, because they more accurately recreate the true dynamics of the car. Cars that really respond to weight shift with oversteer, feel dramatically different with the wheel to full on race cars that are more glued to the track. Old cars feel dramatically different to new cars. The Formula Rookie feels dramatically different to the Formula B. And so on.

It's just something you have adjust to and when you do it's very rewarding. It's a big part of the reason I suggested before the game was released, to not take a shotgun approach to driving cars. Pick 2 or 3 slower cars or even just one car, and really work with them until you figure out what is happening with the physics of the different cars, and how tuning, track conditions, wheel/controller setup etc. affect the handling and feel of the car. Then add cars one by one in categories and in time you'll have it figured out. Add a trackday car, a sedan, a GT4, GT3, LMP etc.

Absolutely yes. Either controller profile or car tuning which I haven't messed with yet. Maybe someone will create a good tune for those types of cars that helps lessen the oversteer tendencies of those cars. The next cars I will drive will be the BAC and the Arial Atom. And the cars are adaptable to. It's a bit like forza 5 where you have to apply small amounts of throttle input and sensitivity on Xbox One controller triggers on some car and not floor it. Imagining your throttle trigger button is a accelerator pedal. PCARS is very much like this. And the PS4 controller buttons and triggers are more sensitive than older gen console controller buttons.

I haven't experimented with pit stops yet and was wondering, how do I go about sticking a set of wets on if it starts to rain?? Is there a button you have to use on the wheel that calls up options on what tyre you want to come in for? I do not recall having hit any button yet that looks like pit stop options.

Any tips on driving the Caterham and in general some of the more oversteer happy cars? Playing with a T300 and I just can't keep hold of the slide at all. Trying to be as progressive and smooth as poss but if I do that I can't keep up with AI. If I go anywhere near the edge grip wise i'm facing the other way no matter what I do. Anyone been able to catch it on the slide?

Is there any quick setup wins to help me out? I've never had trouble taming these cars in Forza, GT and the like but pCARS is on another level :D

The AI isn't perfect, but this little tussle I just had shows how incredible it can be at times. Never had an AI driver tackle me side-by-side through multiple corners and in the end up throw me off the edge of the track.

that's some crazy FOV there! what value is that on? almost looks like a triple screen setup

It's on the default 80 set on cockpit view! The BMW 320 just has a ridiculous FOV compared to other cars for some reason!

Durp, my bad!

I mis-read the scales, I have my FOV set at 96.
I was going to say that the FOV is so huge on that replay it took me a while to figure out what track it was even though I drove about 40 laps on it on the weekend:sly:
