Perhaps I'm doing something wrong (no surprises there...) but when I choose "Online" it says "finding multiplayer sessions" but then puts me straight into one with no list to choose from?

Sorry for interrupting the console wars, just want to know if this is how its meant to be:

I started my career in the Renault Clio cup. When the game started I selected Pro. Now I´m a little bit confused. When I cut corners there is no penalty, when there are Crashes there are no yellow flags, and the strangest thing is the Start. It seems there is a huge tolerance for an early start. I tested it:
Here is what I do: Sometimes I put in 1st gear and go on the Gas, sometimes I go on the Gas first and put in 1st gear when its green. It seems that I have a tolerance from 1sec. to start before its green. That can give me a huge advantage. Every rules in game is set to realistic, damage and penalty are on.
I wonder if this is, because its somewhat of a starter event or if the game is so forgiveable ?

I’m not exactly sure how this is a Console War as you put it, He has PCARS on PS4, I pre-ordered it on PS4 and just made an observation that from what I have seen it looks less fuzzy with more detail on the XBONE. Perhaps that was an attempt at humor??????????????

Boy, this game has changed my gaming life. I've always hated karts in games. They've always seemed too twitchy and annoying. I had hoped for something better with PCARS, alas I hated the karts here too because they were annoying the hell out of me. Even feathering the throttle as much as I could seemed to still lead to an extra twitchiness that didn't seem right.

Yet, here I am, having made a few alterations to the setup and now the 125 kart has provided me with some of my favourite races in my years with sims. Everything else feels so much fun but having karts on this level has really left a mark on me. They may not seem exactly perfect but at least I can enjoy all aspects of the game now.

Mind sharing your settings - I'm hating the karts too - I race grass karts in real life and do a little road karting every now and then too and you certainly can't drive the karts in pCARS like a real one. Haven't been bothered yet to try and adjust more to my liking but interested to see what changes you made and what effect they have.

I tried convincing one of the employees at gamestop to give me a copy early, it didn't work.:grumpy::banghead:🤬

I have had the game since last week, but in reading here of all the bugs, glitches etc I have not even unwrapped it yet, ( life's issues have also got in the way ), probably wait for some patches to correct things so as not to ruin the enjoyment.

I've been doing quick race weekends for about 4 hours a night for the past 2 nights and the only bug I've encountered in that time is no engineer audio. nothing else. when I played career for a few hours I got some other bugs, including wheel bugs, but I've been pleasantly surprised since then. I know they're there, but don't let it put you off; the driving is excellent, as a tonne of people on here will testify to.

do iiiiiiiit!

Just seen that Project CARS has hit #1 in the UK all formats chart.

Estimated PC Steam sales so far are around 85,000, and if that accounts for 10% of total sales as is typical for multiplatform releases, could be looking at 750,000+ sales already, and that's before the US launch.

To put that in perspective, Race Pro sold 17,000 copies worldwide in it's entire time on sale.

Crikey!

How many units does PCars need to shift to turn profit?

I think I made a few little clicks on camber here and there, but the main thing seemed to be dropping the tyre pressures a bit, maybe about 0.1Bar or more depending on the track.

It seemed to be the only thing I could do to get a pretty decent level of overall grip, as before I was either twitching all over the place with no real chance of precise driving on Glencairn mostly or I'd just get terrible understeer with snap oversteer, especially on hairpins. Now I can drive quite comfortably through a whole race at a consistent and quick speed. I couldn't even feather the throttle through turns before whereas now it feels pretty good.

Huh, I never knew Race Pro sold that few. Two of those copies belonged to me and my bro so I guess we helped a bit with that!

Slightly Mad Studios' Project Cars released worldwide last week on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game received mostly positive reviews from critics and the response from racing fans was also the same. However, Project Cars launch ride was not as smooth as it sounds on paper, especially on Xbox One.

Xbox Community are not at all happy with the fact that Project Cars Xbox One version lack decent amount of multiplayer options and no way to join lobbies. Xbox One players are forced to join random races with random folks. You can check out many complaints of Xbox One owners on Project Cars forums.

Surprisingly, these issues in Project Cars Xbox One version has nothing to do with Slightly Mad Studios but instead it's a fault with Microsoft. According to the details shared by Slightly Mad Studios Dev (via game's official forum), due to "first party reasons we can’t offer a lobby browser on XB1″, going to on assure players that the team “are looking into ways to improve the XB1 matchmaking."

This is really a tricky situation for Xbox One players as developers are not sharing the exact reason why Project Cars lack "multiplayer lobbies" option, however one thing is pretty sure, if fans want to know the reason they should direct their questions towards Microsoft.

In another news, Slightly Mad Studios Dev has clarified that a brand new patch is already in development for Xbox One version of Project Cars which will improve the performance by whooping 4-7%, fix controller issues.

Although 'no way to join lobbies' is a bit inaccurate, you can join lobbies just Join Game as you do on any game!

Shame so much people missed out in Race Pro then :)

Cold tires will be the death of me! :nervous:
It's exaggerated, like driving on ice. Slick tyres on a dry track shouldn't feel like you are aquaplaning all over the place. Also it seems the AI doesn't really suffer from tyre wear like we do.
