Hmm... So been playing for an hour now, started with a quick run around Monaco in the BAC Mono. Then went to career, all assists on and AI to 0 since I quickly realized I would have enough problems finishing a lap, let alone beating the AI. A few things:
-3 wins! Omg. Seriously I'm at like 10 or 12 now.
-Go karts aren't that ****. I'm not pretending to be an expert or anything but I could navigate one of this things with ease when I was 12. These are just bad.
-The twitter thing seemed neat until they kept putting up the same 3 wins in a row over and over again.

Anybody running their T300 on the old firmware (V23 ) on PS4 and have problems ? The reason i ask is because i saw i guy have trouble and if was fixed with a firmware update . I know i should run the latest (v24) but i dont have a PC only a chromebook and i do not want to go by a laptop i already bought a PS4,T300,T3PA-PRo,TH8A, and a wheel stand for Pcars .
I have the same set up as you have except I have normal T3pa, and never updated my T300.
I only had the wheel going nuts on me once.
After restarting the race it was gone, but zo was the calibration. But it works fine without it

What sort of trouble do you have?

This game has a really intuitive feel about it, something I haven't experienced since V8 Supercars 3 (or ToCA 3 as some of you call it)

Well, I'm off too bed. Had one race that wasn't Kart (invitational at Brands Hatch with one of the RUF road cars) and it honestly felt great, which was a relief because after dealing with the absolutely awful karts I was seriously worried that I wasted $70 on a lemon haha.
Seriously though, why is it so hard to properly simulate karts?

Afterwards I spent some time drifting around in a Evo at Dubai. Also very fun :)

I haven't experimented with pit stops yet and was wondering, how do I go about sticking a set of wets on if it starts to rain?? Is there a button you have to use on the wheel that calls up options on what tyre you want to come in for? I do not recall having hit any button yet that looks like pit stop options.
You can have tyre choice set to auto for weather in one of the many options menu's, or you can change them yourself via the pop-up pit menu box that appears when you enter the pit lane 👍

Agree about the karts. Definitely a weak point in the game.

Did you really say you set AI strength to ZERO? And you wonder why their easy?

Ahh, I haven't come into the pits yet during a race so that explains it :) Ta!

The Karts feel about 200mph too fast!

Saw this on Amazon's site for the T300rs

G27 + pc here. I tried the 125 shifter for the first time yesterday and was expecting to be disappointed after reading some of the feedback here. I raced karts at a pretty high level back in the day so I do have some real life experience. Took me about an hour to get comfortable and really feel what was going on with the kart but once I got dialed in I thought the feel and handling of the karts was excellent. I tried 3 different tracks and it's just my opinion but Glencairn is more of a rental type track you see at the side of the highway as no one in their right mind would take a shifter kart over bumps and rises like that. Summerton and Greenwood (based on the Spa karting facility) seem more like proper kart tracks to me.

The karts need to be pushed hard and driven at the limit to really perform. I was able to powerslide just like a real kart would but it requires you to really push the kart otherwise you are transitioning between under and oversteer all the time. I really, really enjoyed lapping at both Summerton and Greenwood and was able to post up very consistent times once I got the hang of it. They felt right too. Snappy steering, very responsive, good weight to the wheel etc.

If you are using a wheel I suggest you keep at it, and really push the karts hard. FFB setup is important and a bit of tuning to induce more oversteer is important too. Lower front tire pressure, a bit of sway bar adjustment, etc.

Speaking of karts, the AI on Oulton in the 250cc Super-karts are hilarious at that first turn!

Without fail at least one of the AI would do this on that corner each lap.

So I've been playing for a few hours now, PC with a G25.

Few things:

- The karts are actually pretty easy to get used to. Really don't see what the fuss is all about.

- Did the Ruf invitational (well, tried to) at Brands Hatch and there's a few things that are quite worrisome. The biggest one of which is that if I happen to come to a stop for any reason, whether it's a spinout or otherwise, the throttle and the brakes just cease to work, only the clutch and gears work. So if I happen to have an accident I can't actually get back on my way, I'm just stuck floundering in the middle of the track.

- The other thing that's more annoying than anything is finding the FFB sweetspot so that I don't end up having a tankslapper trying to go straight.

Ah, this caught me out too. I knew there was a starter and ignition button when I set controls, but it didn't dawn on me that I had to press one first and then the other to start it. I think in a game this might have been better mapped to one function, although it is realism I guess.

Oh is that what it is? I haven't even taken notice of those buttons as I have it set to "start engine for me" or whatever the option's called.

How do I do a career? Its got me locked on race weekend..... Just started

Nevermind. Apparently you have to win the first race haha

Hi all :D I'm struggling to find the point of having selectable liveries in my garage, unless its just for photo mode?

In career, of course you get the team livery. I get that. However, if I select a livery in my garage and then go to do a quick race or practice session, the garage livery hasn't stuck and I can't see if there's an option to choose it in quick race or practice

Am I being dense? :ouch:

Can someone confirm or deny if the "Real" weather option is in the console versions of the game?

Also, anyone know what the default buttons are for Turning on your Engines and windshield wipers/lights on the Xbox One version (Controller)?

It CLEARLY shows you these defaults in the options menu.

Did you bother to look?

Unbelievable

I have had more fun in one hour trying to get force feedback on my t500 for the Renault Clio than I did for the entire gt series!!!

Best part so far is the little jolt in the wheel when up shifting

If anyone wants some good settings for the t500rs ps4 for Renault Clio, mine feels really good
