My god this game is hard. I kept spinning out at road America but slowly getting use to it now.Still trying to figure out which controller setting is best. Also testing all types of cars out. First car I used was the Mercedes Benz 190E and that car is a handful. Does anyone got anti lock brakes on? Seem like it doesn't make a difference the car tires still lock up either way.

I just ran the California Highway Full in 8:58.456 driving a Focus RS...I didn't get the trophy for completing it in under 9 minutes in a US car, anybody got any ideas? I definitely posted a valid time.

hosting my first MP lobbies tonight and I haven't had this much fun online for aaaaages. not too many idiots luckily, got a pole, got a win, connection solid, very impressed so far.

Why was my GameStop being shady with the metal case and poster? I had to ask for each one separate. It's like they were trying to hold onto it for themselves. Anyways it's time to get some stuff done around the house then fire this sucker up and see how I do. Haven't played a drive sim in over a year I'm bound to be a little rusty.

Well, I was going to get this today and buy the PS4 next week, but after hearing about the online and the fact that playing with a DS4 is damn hard, I'm holding off buying this until I can comfortably afford it, and when I have less school work. I'm a hardcore racer (even though I don't have a wheel) and thought this would be the game. Guess I'll have to wait for a month or so, until then, I shall play GT or ToCa 3.

Sounds good though. WMD memebers must have the best feeling ever waking up to all this positive feedback. Job well done! :)👍

Stop listening to the pad horror stories. Search the forums and you will find a good setup. I can match my mate who is using a wheel and I'm on a pad. You just have to come to grips with it and be smooth with your inputs.

Isn't the Focus technically a European car since it was a Ford Europe design?

After the first few crashes. .. I mean turns; "break in a straight line. Break in a straight line. Break in a straight line" has become my mantra.

G27 + pc here. I tried the 125 shifter for the first time yesterday and was expecting to be disappointed after reading some of the feedback here. I raced karts at a pretty high level back in the day so I do have some real life experience. Took me about an hour to get comfortable and really feel what was going on with the kart but once I got dialed in I thought the feel and handling of the karts was excellent. I tried 3 different tracks and it's just my opinion but Glencairn is more of a rental type track you see at the side of the highway as no one in their right mind would take a shifter kart over bumps and rises like that. Summerton and Greenwood (based on the Spa karting facility) seem more like proper kart tracks to me.

The karts need to be pushed hard and driven at the limit to really perform. I was able to powerslide just like a real kart would but it requires you to really push the kart otherwise you are transitioning between under and oversteer all the time. I really, really enjoyed lapping at both Summerton and Greenwood and was able to post up very consistent times once I got the hang of it. They felt right too. Snappy steering, very responsive, good weight to the wheel etc.

If you are using a wheel I suggest you keep at it, and really push the karts hard. FFB setup is important and a bit of tuning to induce more oversteer is important too. Lower front tire pressure, a bit of sway bar adjustment, etc.

Cheers. Will definitely give it some more time and practice using your tips. Out of curiosity, what camera view are you using for the karts?

Planning to go out and buy it right now, but I can't decide if I want to go Xbox One or PS4. I've been debating for the last three hours.

Hi guys, LOVING the game so far. my one question is since I run full sessions, doing a whole weekend in one sitting i kind of lengthy and can't always be done. Is there a way to save part way through the weekend? such as after practice or between race 1 and 2?

Anyone else have the Asia region of the game? It looks like this wasn't released as a japanese version so I bought the Asia (Hong Kong) Version through play-asia.com I got it and the codes for the modified cars and the limited cars but I can't find anything on the Hong Kong playstation store for the livery pack and the free car. Anyone else have this copy of this game and this problem?

Anyone know how to use the controller for menus and wheel for racing? Because I can't figure it out. Our seems to be one or the other. And My T300 locks to 90 degrees during the starts of some races, unplugging at the console and replugging fixes it but it's still deeply annoying. Other than these annoyances I'm enjoying it.

I can't believe (in my opinion) that the karts are the hardest to drive:lol: I been moving the AI difficulty up and down because it's some events where they are so easy and then some where they just take off on you. Still having fun though. I just be glad when I'm done using them in career.

It can't be done (on PS4 anyway) unfortunately.

I'm curious to see how much attention they are going to give to the game after release, I know they already have the DLC planed.

But even before the release I was reading the news about PCARS 2 being confirmed. I was hoping SMS could keep this game alive for at least 2 or 3 years, but for a relatively small studio, it's unlikely for them to support this game and work in the next simultaneously after the DLC schedule is complete.

In general, PCars framerate is CPU bound most of the time, especially with AMD GPUs.

These settings have the biggest impact on CPU load, in descending order:

  1. Shadow Detail
  2. Reflections
  3. Environment Map
  4. Car Detail
Performance tuning should start with these.

PS4, I entered the code for the modified car pack, and saw the bar fill up and it said it installed. Saw the same thing with all the rest but none of it shows up when I go to look for it.

Pretty sure someone else had the same issue and they just rebooted the PS4 and they showed up.
