I used a Lotus 111R for gold, took a few tries to get used to it after not driving it for a while.

1:23.287 for 8'th atm with DS3. My settings are @GT_Rajman's from last TT, tuned down for the occasion:

SUSPENSION:
65 60
11.10 15.10
5 5
6 6
6 6
0.0 0.0
0.06 -0.07
BB: 4 8

TRANSMISSION:
Set top speed to 260km/h

LSD:
5 15 9

POWER:
50%

BALLAST: 81kg's at -45

-No oil change.

That's all; seems to work fine here; will do 1.22, even with this old guy on DS3. :)
great man, big improvement for me. Now on top 20

Don't we have a special thread for those who just want to congratulate themselves?

Personally I have no problem with this. To get in the top 10 is one helluva achievement. 👍 Even the top 100. Well done to them! Also, it's nice to know that there are top drivers amongst us here on GTP...

On topic: I refuse to use the 2J again. The HSV did the trick. 👍

I think it's a bit like doing an oil change as the engine is essentially refurbished and given new/clean oil, so you might just need to run it in for a few hundred miles to return it to showroom specs, the HP/PP should slowly drop back to normal.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but won't it just meet the showroom specs for a short window of time? I mean, once you've changed the oil, it will start loosing pp rapidly -and it won't stop at the showroom specs....?

Improved to 1:23.046 today -but i think you're safe from me, @Growling; that's a great lap , you've done!👍

If anyone is interested, I'm using this tune with 0/0 toe and LSD 5/12/7.

Thanks for posting @Roweer1 and thanks @GT_Rajman

It will stay above SR spec for 200-250 miles then for 50-100 after that it will gradually drop back to normal spec, then you have at least 6200 miles without oil change before it will start to drop below SR spec and with possible permanent loss of spec HP as any oil change after this distance may not recover it's full SR HP.

I don't know if you've read through this thread yet.

Looks like a lot of people refuse to use the 2J 👍

Hope PD read this and do something about it. And make both TT's with a fixed car and hopefully also a stock one. Cos this is starting to suck big time. We have this stuff going on for years now (back to GT5). PD might lose some loyal fans (if they already didn't).

A4 Touring Car. All assists off except a few clicks of traction control. Power reduced to suit pp limit. DS3, with auto gears.

A few laps to get used to the circuit. Small set up tweaks every other fifth lap to find a set up to suit my aggressive style, and cracked 1:33.384 on lap . . Something. There's close to a second to come out of that, as I made some fairly major cock ups at the hairpins, and the blind crest right.

I'm fairly happy with a world ranking of 4496th (at time of writing) in my first semi serious attempt at a seasonal TT though.

Lap time is down to 1:32.907.

I dropped one point from the TC system, so I'm now at 3. A few suspension tweaks, more laps, nailing the braking point for the first hairpin, and downhill braking section, should take another few tenths off. I'll be happy with 1:32.5xx for tonight.

Looking at the online leader board, I'm faster than a lot of people using that damned 2J, with a wheel though. So I can't be THAT slow . .

Oh, look, there go Grandma's tail lights . .

Good time using the A4 Touring Car  and try to get you TCS down to 1.

Just clocked what I think is my absolute limit for the current set up. 1:31.663. I could feel the traction control kicking in, so there's a tenth or two to be made up as I drop it lower.

However, I'm now suffering from some serious lag, and need to reset the Playstation. If it hasn't registered my time, I'm going to be pissed.

Edit. No such luck with it registering the time. That's going to be a pain to match. I know it's possible, but it needs a perfectly clean lap on my part.

Great lap mate!

I really want to come back to this TT but I'm so reluctant to do 2hours wasted driving!

Where am I now?
Still 9'th i think 👍
Edit: ...and buy a new one; at the rate, we're using them in TT's, you'll easily wear the first one out, come time...

Why don't you go and do some LTW with the 2J for a few hours and earn yourself some cr. in the process, that's not wasted driving.

or you could just rubberband it around Indy/Daytona in test drive.

What's TLW?? Sorry, I really don't know a whole lot about this game

And @Roweer1 I've only got 8.000.000 credits, I don't really want to waste half of them on a car I already have haha

Yes, do it, as @Roweer1 said it is fun to do, and try using just the prize cars [and AE cars if you have them] to get through so that you don't have to spend unnecessary cr. along the way.

I actually ALMOST got through GT5, using nothing but the prize cars -nice in-challenge challenge! Growling might wanna muscle it through with the 2J though:lol:

Edit: Sry for getting a bit off topic!
