It's very unfortunate (and slightly annoying) that Turn 10 is so tight-lipped about car packs, especially when everyone is expecting one today. At this point they can release it alongside the PC thing and everyone's happy and the Forza brand gets a lot of attention today. Or release the PC beta and ignore the most faithful, already established, Xbox community. The latter would be a bad move if you ask me.

I may get shot at for this but it seems to me there are real differences in outlook between people who choose/use consoles and those who choose PC.

Dirt Rally Forum highlighted this for me last week. There seems to be a faction on PC whom think that Richard Burns Rally is some sort of message from the heavens and that Dirt Rally is the son of RBR.

Yet on the actual forum, many console players were saying... way too unforgiving as a game, needs rewind. Requires proper Ai difficulty choices. These people were then attacked roundly, by PC players telling them effectively how they played the game and that anyone not playing just like them was ... well, pick a vernacular word

It seems to me that Dirt Rally devs spent two years listening to a very small group of PC people... yet look at how many are taking part in the on-line challenges with this game... c.2000 is the most I have seen. That is a very small amount of people it seems to me.

My view about games is the same no matter what.. when I buy a game I want to be able to play it as I want.

If I wish to play Forza 6 with everything turned off, that's my choice. If I want to play Forza 6 with everything turned on so all I have to do is occasionally pull the accelerator trigger... that's my choice.

How exactly does that effect anyone else? Do for instance any of you actually know what I was playing on my XBox yesterday and how? No of course not, any more than I know what you are doing... or care

Forza is an XBox game, I do not personally think 'coders' on PC will help the future of the game one little bit. I certainly do not want Forza devs putting PC viewpoints into Forza.

Then, why do they the PC people get something for free when I have spent £100's on the game for both 360 and One? Where is mine? Now I'm not usually like that but in all honesty I have supported and played Forza for a very long time and a very great deal.... I feel quite insulted and taken for granted

Also, I have no idea why any one on PC would want to play Forza? Every PC player I have come across assures me that Forza is lightweight joke of an arcade game.

I think these are just the very vocal members of the PC community, I play various sims on PC and I still enjoy Forza probably more so than what I play on PC, sure the physics are arguably not as realistic as some of these games but they're still consistent and you can still feel the nuances of different cars. If the future Forza games are coming to PC then this is perfect for me, as my Xbox is nowadays only used for Forza, so I will be able to sell it and move to PC for good.

You also have to remember that these PC players you talk of are most likely the ones who are extremely interested in full-on sim racing, with the requirements for physics to be as accurate as possible, and probably have an expensive sim-racing setup. What about the other PC players? People who are playing the various other non sim-racing games available who are looking for something more accessible to play, Forza is perfect for them. If these people can't afford a wheel setup or don't have space etc. then they will likely be using a controller or keyboard  and from experience I can tell you that racing in games like Assetto Corsa, iRacing, RFactor and so on it is quite difficult using those input methods.

Well that very point doesn't bode at all well for Xbox, then, because it would indicate Microsoft were putting Xbox secondary to PC, to favour casual PC gamers who have a Microsoft Windows license already. Rather than offering Forza as a PC alternative to casual racing games, they should be going all out to push Xbox as the home for racers of all stripes.

Well Turn 10 can release full on Forza 6 on PC, yes?

Well thanks for reminding me that Im broke and will not be accepted in this community, though.

Unfortunately myself I have serious arthritis whilst I love a wheel/pedals/full array and a hydraulic seat... I simply cannot use them these days

My bottom line point was, I get very tired of people trying to tell me how I should be playing a game when everyone plays in their own way anyway. Unfortunately in my personal experience it is PC players who are the most prone to this particular outlook.

I have had gaming PC's, I have changed code, I have seen the Banana in pyjamas with the machine gun.... and that is another reason I do not want coders on Forza. They can't help themselves, they have to tinker.

There's plenty of other games they do not need to mess about with Forza as well....

They're a business. Their best interest would be to steer people towards £300 Xbox One consoles, but their current thinking seems to be offering a free Forza game to people who haven't possibly owned an Xbox console and likely never will.

If these "PC viewpoints" exist and can be generalized to any multi-platform community, then I don't think you need to worry about their influence on Forza. Turn 10 clearly have their own way of making games.

Apex only offers a fraction of what you paid for with the console version. I'm sure PC players will envy the content offered in the Xbox One version when they get to try the game.

Well, maybe Turn 10 wants to convince them that Forza Motorsport isn't that bad? Giving them a free sample seems like a good investment in altering that misconception.

Nothing. Just some selfish people who are bitter that they had to buy an xbox one to play Forza and want everyone else to have do the same as a result. It's beyond silly.

Why is that silly? Should I be banging on Sony's door to port GT to another platform so I don't have to buy their console to play their exclusive franchise? Would Sony be silly enough to offer it on PC at the risk of losing console sales? I doubt it.

I'm not bitter I had to buy an Xbox One to play Forza.

Then what is the problem?

The more platform exclusivity is wiped out the better.
It really isn't though. It's on the UWP. Microsoft's very own echo chamber where they can enforce whatever they want.

In this era of the bug ridden messes that are numerous multi-platform releases, I'm actually in preference for studios only having one platform to work on. Forza has niggling issues, but it's nothing like as messed up as PCars Xbox One release or the last Batman game on PC.

Did everyone get gifted a Corvette C7R in a spectacular looking LM spec livery? Lovely gift car. I dont like the Turn 10 gift liveries too much but this one looks like an actual real life race paint.
It's the April VIP car. ;)
