I couldn't agree more, there is no replacement for FM, Horizon puts a smile on my face and like Dan says "it's fun, it's always fun!" but I get more of a kick pretending to be a serious race car driver with FM.

In fact I have enjoyed FM6 so much that I'm contemplating getting an Xbox 360 so I can play all the Forzas I've missed. I hear a lot people go on and on about Forza 4 and how great it was but, what about the first one? I really want to see where everything started, play them all starting from the first one and see how Forza evolved.

Forza 1 was launched for the original Xbox but the 360 is backwards compatible, right? Also is installing games mandatory on 360? I saw a console for sale and was quite cheap, problem is it only has 4gb of internal memory. Would it be fine?

One major issue, is that all the DLC for the 360 games has been sunsetted, other than the first Horizon's. It's especially sad in FM4's case, because that was an amazing year of car packs (plus Porsche).

I bought FM1 about a year ago, and it works fine on my 360. Definitely a shock to the system, though!

Thanks for the heads up. It's fine by me if I miss on extra cars but were any tracks given through DLC as well? I wonder why they didn't release an utimate/complete edition afterwards like PD did with GT5.

The other issue I'll have now is cost. I checked for 360 consoles and the only one currently on sale is a 500gb version and it's going for AU $200 and that was the cheapest I could find, I checked Cash Converters which a pawn shop chain and most looked to be in poor condition and priced around AU $150. Then on top I'll have to add the games, I guess I'll have to think about it because for that price I could upgrade my wheel rim and or pedals.

That is a bit steep for a last-gen console, but then again, that 500GB drive..

Well, I know one thing; the mk1 Escort will be in FH3 and I bet the mods on the F&F Escort will become modification options.

You know what S-car I am thankful for though? The 13 and 15 haha.

I just saw a white 15 in traffic and I haven't seen one for a long, long time. Looked fantastic.

If there isn't a pack, I'm already struggling to find motivation to play this game.

I hate to admit it, but same sentiments here.

It feels great at times, but then the bugs put me off. Can't wait for Horizon 3. So badly wish it were a 60 fps game on the One.

The only things that I can think of Turn 10 adding in dlc are the cars they kept hidden or those competition unicorn cars. Oh and maybe a couple more Aussie cars, just to round out the car list for FM6.

Did they continue to release DLC for FM5 when Horizon 2 was announced?

DLC seems unlikely, though free cars.... maybe.

They did, and FH2 stuff ran all through to August.

It's worth mentioning there's a new way to get some of the unicorns (from the latest WIR):

Even though we released the Chryslus Rocket a few months back, we’re making good on our promise of a special competition around the car for painters and designers. As of yesterday, we have two competitions happening in Forza 6 around the Rocket. For the Forzatographers out there, our latest photo contest is centered on the Rocket and you can find out the details on how to get involved in our dedicated forum thread. Similarly, we’ve got a livery contest going on as well which you can read more about here. In both contests, entrants have a chance to win exclusive bonus cars that you can’t get anywhere else – cars like the 2015 Lamborghini #63 Squadra Corse Huracan LP620-2 Super Trofeo, the 1971 Ferrari #2 Ferrari Automobili 312 P, the 1977 Aston Martin V8 Vantage, and the 1966 Nissan Silvia. So, with that bit of incentive, happy creating!

The Silvia pisses me off so much. They only reason I didn't get it was I wanted to get it the right way... ****ing unicorn ********.

So the Silvia was a unicorn this whole time? Wow. Whatever happened to that thing from the FM4 days where if we posted a racing article and gave a great summary of the article, we got a unicorn of our choice?

I wish unicorns functioned like Summit rewards in The Crew Wild Run, where if you missed out on winning the car from the Summit, it would be available to purchase in 2 months.

So I decided for nostalgic reasons to play GT2 all the way to 6. I would have started with 1, but I hate the way PS3 makes you reset the controller to analog constantly.

So I am halfway through endurance races on GT5, I fire GT6 back up. Starting from scratch on alternate acct. After 1 hour I am in the seasonals earning credits left and right.

What am I getting at you may ask. Well I had an epithany of sorts. I have just been going through the motions, am I really having fun?

So I decided it's time for something new, different yet familiar at the same time. I went and bought an XBone, Forza6 is installing as I post this. Time to see how the grass is on this side...

Welcome! If you want you can drop by the gamertag exchange thread and drop your gt there so we can add you. Enjoy.

My 66' Silvia was taken out of my garage when they took it out of many peoples garages, but recently, without me actually knowing, it had been returned.

I'm in the same boat, not because I was on the GT side of the fence, but because I was lacking the funds up until recently to explore the XBone way of life. I gave up on GT after the love/hate relationship I had with GT4... but that's another story for another time.

I started FM6 about a week ago, and IMO, it's pretty damned good. It's no FM4, stil the strongest title in the franchise, but it's pretty damned close. The car and track list are superb (although, honestly, Yas Marina is terrible and should never, ever come back, and the 3 fictious tracks are terrible as well, but that's also another story for another time) and there's so much variety you're sure to find something you like. I still haven't found my favorite car yet.

Thanks - I have those. What I'm eyeing is the Vantage and 312P and I ain't got no time to take part in contests! Wish they'd just do away with this unicorn bit and release a free car with every pack.

The 2002 RX-7 Spirit R.. boy how I've longed for that one since the FM2 and 3 days.

I will once I change it from the goofy default tag lol.

I haven't been able to play yet besides doing the initial race with the GT. It was cool I could do that while the game was installing I have to say. I went for the gusto and got the gold edition with all of the DLC.

Just from the one race, even though all the assists were on I can tell this is a different animal from GT indeed. Can't wait to really get down to business later with it, work comes first...

July Car Pack Update

Fans wondering if we will new cars in July for Forza Motorsport 6, the answer is a resounding YES. The next DLC car pack for Forza 6 will arrive on Tuesday, July 12. I’d love to spill the beans on each of the cars in the pack, but I enjoy my job, so I won’t do that. Instead I’ll say this: Prepare to drive something you’ve never driven before in a Forza game. Ooohhh, the mystery! July 12. Get hyped.
