I don't think I've seen you talk about the health issues your youngest faced, so just wanted to say it's good to hear things are on the up. đź‘Ť

It's definitely worth it. The game isn't perfect, but it (and FH2) are a whole lot of fun. Looking forward to seeing you online!

I never really talked about it because we couldn't get a clear answer on just how hazardous the situation was, and I didn't want to alarm or worry anyone. Pulmonary problems are nothing to laugh about, especially not at a young age. He's been doing much better for a few weeks now, and the doctors say he'll be fine and that it's not life-threatening anymore, so I'm relieved as well.

I've just told my boss I'm taking a week's vacation next week, time to spend some time with the boys and the virtual cars. :)

If there's no news it means its smooth sailing.

They only drag out Dan for new releases like F6 or when things hit the fan like F5.

Brian Eckberg has made it clear on the official forum there will be no car pack in June and that we'd be getting just the Ford GTLM race car for free.
Yes, he said no "car pack", he didn't say anything about other kinds of dlc.

---

EDIT: and now I know for sure that I was wrong. No other forms of DLC shown. Okay then, that just plain sucks. I mean, I get it; they were focused on E3, but Turn 10 has always been able to release a full dlc pack of some kind whenever they focused on showing off the next Forza title in the lineup. There was a car pack for FM4 when FH1 was announced, there was a car pack for FM5 when FH2 was announced, and there was a car pack for FH2 when FM6 was shown.

He actually said no June car pack, referring to the seven monthly additions. Anything except that could still be possible. I'm not really optimistic as we got a free car just last week.

I for one certainly won't be abandoning Forza 6 once Horizon 3 is out.

I think I may have to schedule what day I play what games.

E.G Monday and Tuesday is Forza 6 day

Wednesday and Thursday is Horizon 3 day.

Will have to see when the time gets nearer.

I get the feeling T10 won't really be abandoning it either, unless they want to sit out on the eSports craze for a year. The recent FRC announcement makes me think they might even support both titles simultaneously.

I won't be abandoning FM6 either for Horizon 3 because I have this gut feeling that something is going to happen for GTP online racing here in the future, hence why I've suddenly began making more of my own personal liveries.

I'm the same, I'll probably do enough in FH3 to finish the basic game and that's it.

On weekends when I have more time for video games, I give Forza 6 and Horizon 2 one hour sessions each and then take a break. On weekdays when I'm more busy, I do a 10-minute drive in Rivals for FM6 and then switch to Horizon 2 and do one race.

This routine works well for me.

Might as well join in on this topic:
I also won't give up on Forza 6. No way. For serious battles against the world's best racers, I'll definitely play Forza 6, but for all of the car culture stuff like cruising, "hooning", and exploring, no doubt I'll be playing Forza Horizon 3. It all just depends on the mood I'm in. If I feel like whipping around Watkins Glen in a Ferrari 641, I'll play Forza 6. If I feel like splashing through Aussie waters and exploring what the land down under has to offer, I'll play Forza Horizon 3.

One thing I *will* do: since I got into the XB1 scene late, I didn't really do any of my designs for FH2, since FM5 stuff couldn't be imported. Knowing that FH3 will accept both FH2 and FM6 designs, I'll definitely build up a fair amount of stuff to get ready before release. I've got more designs on FM6 than I even had on FM4!

Plus, as other said, when I'm in the mood for a more competitive approach, FM6 just feels better.

so Brian Eckberg (mechberg) was on xbox twitch a few minutes ago, and he stated how the bodykits feature is the one that "forza community has been asking for years", so I think its safe to assume that widebody kits are in franchise to stay.
But he also said that not all cars will have bodykit options. So lets hope their implementation is not too limited. And that it gets expanded.

Horizon is no replacement for FM. It offers a superb alternative, though from a personal standpoint, I would always pick FM. I think Horizon's gameplay is going to get more non-serious with every release, though FM has managed to retain most of the physics.

I couldn't agree more, there is no replacement for FM, Horizon puts a smile on my face and like Dan says "it's fun, it's always fun!" but I get more of a kick pretending to be a serious race car driver with FM.

In fact I have enjoyed FM6 so much that I'm contemplating getting an Xbox 360 so I can play all the Forzas I've missed. I hear a lot people go on and on about Forza 4 and how great it was but, what about the first one? I really want to see where everything started, play them all starting from the first one and see how Forza evolved.

Forza 1 was launched for the original Xbox but the 360 is backwards compatible, right? Also is installing games mandatory on 360? I saw a console for sale and was quite cheap, problem is it only has 4gb of internal memory. Would it be fine?

I would 100% recommend getting the X360 to enjoy all three FM games. They are masterpieces.

Install is not mandatory, but disc drives in some models can get noisy, load times can be painful and you might have extra heat cooking up the console. I would recommend getting an HDD + console or just get an external after getting the cheap 4GB model.

As for FM1 being backwards comp. with X360, not sure if it us. There are quite a few games back. comp. on the X360...not entirely sure if Forza is one of them. Ought to be though.

Actually, the Xbox 360 slim is indeed compatable will original xbox games. I've played PGR2 and FM1 several times on my 360 slim. Though, you need a microsoft branded xbox 360 hdd to play them
My mistake there, then :)

Ta for the clarification đź‘Ť

You're welcome!
Oh, and I should warn people about getting a slim with the hdd though. There are some hard drives that microsoft apparently forgot to install the software that allows the 360 to play xbox games on, so it may not work. Though, that problem can be fixed.

The game keeps getting to the loading screen with the tail light of the ford gt and freezes then crashes any ideas?

Hard reset, reinstall? I don't really know, Have you tried pressing the menu button and exiting the game before it crashes?

Seems to be generalized as I can't get it to work either and a few friends have the same problem...
