Not sure if this has been discussed already but is there reasoning behind not having the "dirty" lap icon in career? I have only noticed it with rivals and MP.

Maybe an oversight? The laps count on the leaderboard if you aren't using mods and they are clean, but if you dirty them it just doesn't display an icon.

The only complaint I have is that career events don't display the PI limit (annoying) and you can't choose, you have to really do their order.
Yes annoying for sure. I usually pick a car then look at the grid layout. Something like that.

Probably because the laps don't count anyway because of the whole mods thing.
That is also my guess. I was avoiding mods in the beginning of the game so I could run clean laps against friends while in the career. Noticed the lap certification doesn't matter, so now I run dare mods. If I want to run clean lap times for competition, I do that in rivals. And trust me there are an insane amount of rival events. If anyone gets a CERTIFIED time posted in EVERY single rival event within a month, I will be impressed. I don't think it is physically possible.

If I'm setting hotlap times I sure as hell don't want stupid AI in my way.
Keep in mind quite a few of the rival events have multi class AI on the track while you run hot laps. Its an insane challenge to run those with certified laps. My most epic rival event moment so far in F6 was running a RWD 600+ hp 2015 Corvette on Sebring in the rain, threading between multi class AI, cockpit view, no assists, and .....CERTIFIED! Just epic! :D

Just Sebring is enough to turn me off, let alone in the rain.

Wet concrete, no thank you, lol.
Really? Dang I think the rain racing is by far one of the best features of F6. Especially the water puddle physics. I get so excited when I know my next race is in the rain. :) Night races are fun too but I truly LOVE the rain races in F6. Especially using cockpit view. Truly epic.

Oh I like the rain, but I hate Sebring even in the dry, it wet to me is just no thank you.

The only car I remember enjoying Sebring in was the X-Bow.

I'm loving sim steering with the pad in this game. I've learned to catch any slide, you just need to predict it a bit.

I use Lime Rock (full layout) as my go-to test track now ......

I am still really disappointed that there are no Japanese tracks, but the addition of Lime Rock is really great. It's my favorite track in the game right now (mostly because it's the only track I've actually seen in person) and usually the first track I run when testing out new cars.

Teehee! What happened?

and...

Wow, doesn't the BMW 635 handle well out of the box?

I've pumped it up to B class now for more oomph, but it was epic as it was
5 spins no cars,25k 25k 50k,2m for the Lotus F1 wasnt bad to be fair and 75k,and I haven't driven that one yet, spent most of the day in my #28 Honda Indy.

Well I became kind of addicted to the Lotus F1 Rivals challenge at Spa. Managed to hit 11th in the world with a bad couple corners! Such a fun combo, gonna revisit it here and there to try and go higher. But so will everyone else...

The key to that car is using TC and a semi-auto transmission. I tried the hardcore method but the car just spins out way too fast (it is a generic tune, but not even real F1 should be that tail happy).

Nice! Took me long enough to even beat those times. I think it's about time I set up my wheel and start switching off assists, because for as long as I use the controller there's just no way I drive anything but full automatic. Manual just doesn't work with my hands.

Probably because the laps don't count anyway because of the whole mods thing.

This explains something that was perplexing me while I was doing the Daytona endurance race.

The initial lap time I posted was 1:38.xxx and towards the end of the race I was getting sloppy and lazy/bored so I had a few accidents and had to limp back to the pits several times and the AI cars had eventually caught me and passed me so I put the pedal to the metal and ran some blisteringly fast laps. Constantly running 1:34.xxx trying to catch the AI but it still said my fastest lap was 1:38. I wish they would have explained that. I really like the mod system, I think it is a very interesting addition to the series but there is little to no explanation about it.

Had a decent night last night with F6. Only had an hour but took a couple pics and beat 3 rival events. It was a good night.

I'm so relaxed with this game. I don't feel rushed to play it through. I can play for a short while or zone out for a few hours. Focus on a new discipline and jump into a quick race with another. The Free Play is my friend.

I feel similar, been doing quite a bit of just free play, trying cars, admiring peoples paints, scratching the surface only with regards tuning. Had some entertaining races going through the career and enjoying so far most of the tracks.

So much fun or enjoyment to be found in the game.

Indeed. I think anyone who's rushing through is doing themselves a disservice

I actually play this game for me. Npt to try and beat the game. Not to try and beat the AI. I'm riving 7/10ths at the moment. Keeping more in reserve to explore with some cars. Since going through a few of the events, I've dialed my driving back a bit.
