I get bored with the higher up classes in Multiplayer, since it seems to increasingly rely on heavily-modded near-race cars. Part of the fun of D and C is that you can have a relatively road-ready car still be able to mix it with something like a stripped and slicked Miata. A lot of my A600 tunes are more road-oriented, so they're left for dust online, and I don't want to resort to a full-on racer. Bah.

Are we able to use any car we want or only specific cars from a list? I have not tried and endurance race yet so I have no idea what restrictions are set.

All enduros force you to pick from a certain set of cars, with no tuning allowed.

They you give a variety of cars to choose from that are untunable and unupgradable. Even though you don't own them, you can still get Affinity XP from them.

EDIT: Tree'd kind of

I also generally prefer B and lower. I had no idea it was A class. The previous league races were B so I built about 10 B class cars. I hop in and its A.
I do like that the league hopper is changing all the time as predicted.

Okay good to know and that will make it even more interesting since I will probably get to pick a car I don't have yet. :)

B and lower is what I generally stick to, and sometimes dabble in A, but not that often.

What's with the odd class restrictions in Career mode? Having to build to A660, or S750 just seems so odd.

I guess it's to add some semblance of variety. I agree it's odd, though. I also hate that when I want to buy a car for a series, the only option is seemingly to buy it pre-modded, or you have to back all the way out to the main menu to buy the car and then mod it your own way. Maybe I missed something there.

I don't think you've missed anything as I've noticed that seems to be the only way as well. I haven't progressed that far into career yet, I'm only at the third series but is there Specific Class Racing like there was in FM5 that is open to all vehicles across that range?

Can't be tv calibration as they are both on the same tv. It was a lot darker than normal. Even put them side by side on the paint swatches. Was not as vibrant at all :( I'm not sure it's even recreatavle.

Sorry, I meant the difference in calibration between my TV and your TV. Honestly to me it looked very close but to each his own. :)

I found rewind became broken a few times when I did the Nurb 125 last night. It used to happen occasionally in FM4 too. You've just gotta be careful...

The Z4 was a fantastic partner. It gets a little slippery at a few turns (the first left of the lap, the other left getting onto the Nordschleife), but it sounds great and is generally pretty grippy. I used the TCS/ASM Off plus -15% grip Mod for 50% more credits, than scraped back some of that grip with one of the crew chief mods, so it was only -6%. Gave myself +60% XP too, which was nice. Walked out with 500,000 Cr, then another couple hundred thousand from the four spins I received, and the remaining Affinity levels that maxed out for BMW.

The Z4 could almost do four lap stints, but it looked like it'd be cutting it close, so I settled for 3. Since the rest of the field was doing 2, it was a pretty easy win for me. Slicing through the touring car traffic was a lot of fun though!

I used the Viper for the Nurb 125 and at one point I lost my rear wing so I was having major downforce issues. Even on on brand new tires, about half a lap in I'd be sliding all over the place trying to keep the rear in check. Each time I'd pit, my rears would be worn nearly 60%.

Eep, sorry for the double post. So many posts I missed over night. Didn't think to use multiquote.

I sampled the Nurb enduro in the Lambo. 14 GT3 cars and 10 BTCC machines. Just awesome. I only did a few laps after I spun a few times. The fuel gauge doesn't work (I turn off the HUD). So, I followed a BTCC car for a pit stop.

I tell you, I don't miss time change in the sense that, I'm spending most my time concentrating on hitting my apexes, staying off curbs, managing my throttle imputs, maintaining a safe distance until I can set up a pass. Gran Turismo can't prepare you for this game. Everything is turned up to 11. I never feel I'm racing alone even when I'm back of the pack or putting distance between me and a batttle pack. The sound of the gears, engine, ambient noise. My senses are always alert keeping my awake.

No. And I was really disappointed by that. That means I'll never be able to use my TF Mclaren P1 outside the ONE series it's allowed to run in. :(

For the game to have such a variety of cars and to be able to make a race car with a roll cage, T10 are missing the chance to do this. Improved Production class racing:

I finally bought another 2017 Ford GT to get the "cover car" achievement and I painted it to replicate the silver prototype. Hehe, I tried replicating a Camera angle that I took from when I saw the actual Ford GT a couple months back.

I've decided to wait for now. Who knows, maybe it'll show up in a spin. Then again, it may still not pop the achievement. :indiff:
It does. After you complete the final Volume. I won it, but since I already had one, I just got the credits. Still didn't give me my achievement though.

I have not used the Lambo, but in the Viper I used, the onboard fuel gauge worked. Started at 20 (gallons I assume) and went down, so I guess it's safe to assume the same thing happens in the other race cars.

Does anyone else love the 1997 Maserati Ghibli Cup? Maybe I just have a soft spot for cars from the 80's and 90's being a child from that time but DAMN I love the way that beast sounds!!

Siiiiiigh.......reading all of these posts about everyone's racing experiences is really starting to get to me, I admit! Looks like I am going to take a time out from the livery editor and actually do something I normally don't.......race!

I think I am at 4%, so my career has barely been touched, still on the first section of races. These endurance races sound great, can't wait to finally open some touring races.

Ok, I rolled my M4 at The Chase. The right rear wheel is still spinning. So copl to watch all the cars drive by and no yellows. Guess I'm far enough off the track. :dopey:

Just about to run the Le Mans 250 endurance race with 2 x 100% Driver Level XP boosts and a 60% XP boost. Starting this on level 98 so will be interesting to see how many levels I gain.

I'd be certainly interested to know

its those times that I get in the zone, that foza provides such a great adrenaline rush

... or when you make a sweeping turn and shave half a sec from your best lap yet, and it goes meh

Has anyone figured out how to do a "perfect overtake"? Seems a bit random how they are awarded.
I just pass them real close and real fast and I get it everytime

Earned I think 647,000 Driver Level XP which took me from 98 to 114, and 288,000 affinity XP which took me from level 1 to 20.

Chose the Audi R18 and was managing 5 lap stints before I was out of fuel. Gently hit a Ferrari on lap 7 which broke my right headlight but caused no other damage so for the next 23 laps was super cautious when overtaking not to lose the left headlight.

That was one of the most intense races I've had on this game, especially coming through the GT3 cars.

Ok, i got another race for us.

Who's gonna be the first to reach affinity level 25 with Tesla?

Its not gonna be me, that thing is so boring to drive, just did the Night fall series in 2nd volume with it. Not seeing myself ever drive that car again.

Anyone here got love for it?
