I dont think we can blame SMS anymore, they have done their job... the patch is either in EA or SONY QA or whatever.
I do beleave that if it is up after the PSN then we can blame Sony and the GT series (one of their biggest selling consoles titles)...

I dont think so. Have you ever worked to any boss in real life? When he gave you a project, its a commitment of full responsibility for it. You couldnt say that you're done when finishing your product and just give it customer support department or something else, because basically they have no idea about technically issues, have they ever drawn or coded any part of the game? I guess not, EA is just a producer and a distributor.

But the fact is SMS said on the 26th of last month that the 1.02 patch was in QA and listed what it was suppose to fix... so what more can they do??? now its up to either EA or SONY to tell us what has happened either in QA or whatever...
 
Great news!

v1.02 for US version is up again on ps3brewology! I wont mention how to get it installed, so it doesnt violate forum's rules. Just wanted to let you guys know, Im enjoying it now!👍

WOW... this patch is just amazing!!! All I can say about v1.02 handling is its almost no input lag between your wheel and in-game driver's wheel, its been eliminated 99%, almost perfect as GT5. And no more losing ffb after first race or restarting race, its just better, smoother. Awsome!👍

P/S: I got EU version, but using US 1.02 patch, no problem at all.

So am I - waiting for the patch... and nothing would make me more happy then to be wrong and have the patch before the PSN is up...

Seriously, take it from me. I've been working for many years for a big multinational company that is in many ways very much like Sony. The reason we're not getting the patch is without a doubt something very boring and mundane and not part of an evil conspiracy aiming to help GT get world domination :sly:

I would bet someone in SCEE, did not fill in (or approve) a form in time so the patch release was moved to the bottom of the queue of scheduled activities which is now pretty long due to the ongoing PSN panic.

It's super annoying to us, but to others "Shift 2 Unleashed EU Patch 1.02" may not sound too important in the grand scheme of things.
 
I got the patch 1.02 for ps3 last night, but in one hour of play, still had one freeze up (between events). Anyone else still having this problem?
 
So Asia/Australia finally got the 1.02 patch? Did you guys get it legit through official distribution channels or via downloading the US 1.02 patch?

Nope, its not officially released in Australia. I used US v1.02 patch for my EU version on JB PS3.
 
yes guys, it ok the patch with the JB but here we are waiting for the official patch. It's like making a thread " waiting for shift 2" and write down that you can dowload it from torrent 2 weeks before the release. It's ok but it's not how is supposed to be done. However thanks for you infos.
 
I was expecting a similar "where is the EU/AU patch?"-discussion on the official Shift forums, but strangely enough I didn't see any. Are we stuck in some kind of alternate dimension?

I e-mailed SMS earlier this week, but there's no response. Then again, IME they never answer e-mail.

Ive tryed to find the software to that to the 3.60 version but I can seem to find a valid link.

PS: just found the software and downloaded it... so Im thinking of doing just that... no more playing online and no more DLCs? right? cant revert the JB? tough decision but they do leave me no choice, if only someone would keep us informed...

Well put, but I have already tried to tell him this. This thread can easily be divided between those who have never worked for a big company and those who have, simply by the comments written here. Anyone who thinks this delay is being caused by anything more than the most generic, boring reasons simply lacks the "pleasure" of having of worked for a big company.
 
Ive worked for a big company before, the biggest, teaching in public schools, working for th goverment and things like this cant happen... at least I dont remember anything similar...
