There is only one difference for wheel owners: speed sensivity. When I reset my setting to default, it stayed 50%, before the patch is 0%, so I give it a few shots and apparently this setting suited me better. The rest is pretty much the same before patch, but I set the Steering Deadzone to 1% for more stable at high speed.

The biggest difference I can feel after the patch is how the FFB no longer completely cuts out to simulate losing front end grip.

Just installed and reset the controles but the input lag is exactly the same.:grumpy:

Restart the game... exit and enter again.

"Three" major improvements/fixes listed, "one" previous bug remaining. Glass half full or half empty...

I am very satisfied (many others also from what I am reading) with the 1.02 patch - if they make it "perfect" that would be icing on the cake.

Sorry, you are leaving yourself open with so many negitive comments (PSN- GT5 conspiracy, etc.). But it's your right to speak your mind....

I already said I was wrong... what more can I do? apoligise to Sony or EA for being in the dark and making assumptions? if they informed people on whats going on people wouldnt make assumptions...

Ill take the half full glass but I will still say that its not totaly filled... or should I just be happy with every crap that happens?

Well what has improved is that silly light steering effect. That was ruining the game for me but there is still definetly input lag while testing it on the straights

Are you sure it's the v1.02? Try to reset your setting back to default then adjusting from there. Its just a small trick but many people had confirmed it worked. Btw, are you using a pad? Seriously I have no input lag with G27, steering is better with improved ffb. If there is still input lag like you said, try to tune your car, should tune it yourself rather than using a template, everyone has different driving style and tunning in shift 2 is much easier than GT5.

Yes its 1.02 and I use a g25.The anoying loss of traction, light steering effect is a lot better but the cars are still a bit floaty due to the input lag.Ill mess around with the setting and see if I can impove it.

I believe its the v1.01, the light steering, floaty feeling, thats it!

Try to delete your current patch in Game Data Utility, and redownload the 1.02. Good luck mate!

PS3 fat, G27, patch 1.0.2 and......
the input lag still there.
I agree with KDW.
I tried to reset the controller, I tried to cancel both game data, patch and reinstalling everything, but the imput lag is still there... also tring to tuning the cars.
I have also the pc version of Shift 2 and there the patch solve completely the input lag problem.

Look, I keep hearing about the rumor that the input lag was fixed in this patch. Can someone please show us a video comparison of the input lag before and after the patch, or at least give us some numerical statistics?

A gave the game a rent before the patch, and it was terrible due to the lag. I really want this game to be fixed so I can justify a purchase.

Thanks.

Well before I missed the apex and went wide and now Im missing the apex and cuting the corner... so based on this I can only assume two things

1- they fixed the imput lag (at least most of it)👍
2- and that Im a lousy driver 👎 :dopey:

I installed it but haven't tried it yet... if you're right, me and my G27 will need some time alone because my lap times will drop at terminal velocity while I adapt

The patch made the game infinitely more playable. I don't even care if the PSN is down anymore as the AI in S2U is very challenging.

I totally agree with you... before I bought Shift 2, a few days ago only, I was hoping for psn to come back every single day that passed. Now that I have Shift 2, Sony can take another month to fix their network if they want !

amazing change, lag is zero now and ffb is always there and very strong!!! i need to reset the wheel setting to get it work. In my opinion there is also a change in the physic, oversteer is now easier and also understeer with low powered cars. I spinned ( i don't know what is the past of spin :) ) out a honda s2000 and that's surely new stuff cause i've never spinned out anything before the patch, i could't even spin with a 1500hp bmw.

ps3 here and dfgt

Just wait until you get to see Autolog...it will make you want the networks to be up. The single best innovation in console racing games in the past 5 years! Even the most basic, beginner race is now always open to go back and beat your friends time at.

Loving the patch. First race Invitational A, now that's a McLaren (not that I've ever driven one IRL but bear with me :D)

Anyway, I'll start career mode again and see if I can improve my times. you know, with FFB beeing there all the time and all :D

I had to change my steering/pedal options again. Its a new game now.

This patch just turned a great game into a superb game. Racing doesn't get better than this.

On first try, I obliterated my record on the Dubai track and shaved 8 seconds off! I now have to go back to all my other races and set some new record times before the Autolog comes back up! 👍
