Another Forza related adjacent thread, I don't understand the fascination? Sure if you happen to own a xbox360 go ahead purchase it purchase dlcs for it. But why mention it?

How many people have a ps3 and Xbox? I don't most of my mates don't they have one or the other? I tried the Xbox once or RROD on me and I promptly put it on eBay to get my money back.

But if you have funds to purchase the opposite go for it kudos for you for having more money then me :P

If people are bored with gt5 they aren't trying hard enough challenge ya self to do silly stuff do nutburgiring in a kombi or slow cars try unlocking the top gear test track god I've tried lol.

I also have no interest in a porsche package and I am over the constant nissans you think that all the content that gt4 had with the fpr and hsv Australian cars maybe pd could release a Australian pack or hell announce gt6 is in production.

But I digress

I'm really not a forza fan. To me it's right in between everything, semi realistic, but not fully realistic, to me it's just a bad balance between the 2 genre's. Not as realistic as GT5, and not as fun as Grid or Toca. Maybe it's because I don't have time for everything, and it just doesn't interest me nearly as much as iracing, GT5, or netkar (the only 3 sims I play regularly at the moment).

But seriously, GT5 needs DLC. I'm not the only person that would absolutely love a DLC every month like forza. Frankly, I'm completely jealous of Forza fanboys right now (I never thought I'd say that LOL). They get porsche and brand new supercars (not to mention they have a ton of highly desired road cars to begin with), and GT5 gets a stupid mini game, and one track (motegi), that is flat and really not that exciting to drive on in my opinion.

GT5 needs DLC. I don't care if not everybody will buy it, and not just because those people are lame, it's because the DLC will all go towards GT6, so I really can't understand why people would be against it.

I know we can never take Kaz's word for anything at all, but every 2 months? Come on...

Forza only adds new cars for money. They had made those cars months ago and could easily be put in the game if they waited like 3-4 months.

Where did you find this bit of info?

Forget it. It's not worth it.

To be honest, I don't think adding more content to the game is the solution. Just look at the past, how long did Spa and those car packs refresh the game? Not too long.

Ideally, PD should be putting the new content into good use, like a proper career mode. That way, we can actually enjoy the game, rather than the content.

I wish Kaz can be more into fun, instead only being serious with racing all the time imo. :( That's one thing he lacks with GT nowadays in my view.

No he's right, they released DLC the same day of release, or really shortly after. Obviously they already had it made well before the send the master copy to the DVD factory.

So what? You act as if PD didn't possibly do the same thing.

Also, I'd be more than glad to have PD take my money, providing they create a decent product and not some awful DLC pack full of cars that are already in the game or econoboxes like the Nissan Leaf.

Though what would be cool, is if they did DLC like Shift 2 did, and not only give us cars and tracks, but events to go with those cars/tracks.

What I really think would be the absolute best thing for GT5 is to fix the public multiplayer.

What they need to do is set up some playlists. It would be cool if we had matchmaking, we could pick a car category, it would put us into a lobby, and there would be an automatic track vote. And there would be tuning/no tuning, and all cars would have to use what they come with from the dealer, ( no more pathetic noobs using racing softs on street cars)How awesome would that be?

The best improvement to replayability is multiplayer, not cars or tracks, but that doesn't mean we don't want them.

Really, cars and tracks are the only reasonable thing we can demand from them because it's usually the only thing other developers do for DLC

PD just needs to be more up-to-date with cars! Not only GT-Rs

Especially european cars are way to old in GT5! I mean, just look at the Renaults, Audis, BMWs or Mercedes!
theres maximum one new version in the game (Audi=R8, Merc=SLS, BMW=M3) and thats it.

A new Audi R5, BMW M6 or a Mercedes Black series would add some very fresh new content to the game.

Just my opinion....

this PD this! please for the love of god do this PD, I've kind of given up hope of getting this in gt5 (unless we get an awesome spec3 update) but if gt6 doesn't have this or something similar and online lobbies are as hopeless as they are right now were we have to implement a work around like sorting decent online races ourselves by coming on sites/forums like this then I think the gt franchise will lose a lot of fans.

its always been online issues that's held back gt5, everything else is just minor niggles and personal taste in my opinion.

Translate this into Japanese and email it to Kaz

I even quoted "Forza's not bad." My intention was never to slam Forza, and ya I believe getting Forza is the most effective way to solve this, but I would love to here your solution mate.

Two other users just pointed out that you did have an issue with his admiration for forza 4. So this new found "Forza is great" seems ironic when just a while ago you were slamming someone for it. I also posed solutions, and have done so for over a year now. How about PD just talk to the fans like several studios do, and get with the times and with that co-relation a greater game can be forged, the distance isn't going to fix much at this rate.

Ummm PD dosen't do if for the $$$? Yea right, user pay.

Everything is for the cash. Video Gaming is a business, we are the consumers after all.

Only difference honestly is that Turn10 outsources their car models. That's how they can pump them out quickly. F4 still has the same issues it's had since F2. Not one patch, but there's DLC to shut you up! :sly:

Yeah, and PD charge us for one-use paint and racing suits out of the goodness of their heart.

Look it here, another member that gives PD/GT a double standard to all others, bravo :dopey:. Also you must not know, actually you don't know how game creation works if you're spouting off this daft idea.

There's been either 4 or 5 patches.

What Simon K said, also can people actually fact check instead of sounding or coming off as highly uninformed.

Last I checked, the premium Audi R8 in GT5 still has the wrongly modeled engine in it and many of the standards carried over issues from previous GT games in the data. Hell even GT5's DLC has wrong stuff that some patch work 'fixed' (i.e. Beetle weighing more than it does in real life as 1 example). Forza's issues are nowhere near as big as GT's. GT is on patch what, 20? FM4 has had 3-4 only and none were game breaking like GT5 was. I like GT5 but PD really botched it big time. Maybe they should have outsourced some of their work to release a full fledged title, not sell us a new game with 80% of last gen assets with various issues still in the game to this day.

To be on topic, I thought by now we'd see DLC for GT5. I'm surprised DLC4 is still MIA :ouch:

Ever notice, the people who start meaningless threads are new members? Please mods..Put a post limit on when someone can start a thread...This is why the GT5 section is so cluttered with pointless threads..

Stop..

I really want just a huge pack of muscle cars since they missed 90 percent of the important ones.

You do realize that the OP of this thread joined in 2003, right?

The problem is the carlist itself is BAD.

They didn't bring the car that should be in the game in the first place.

People complain about this since the game release.

That's why we need DLC. If we have like Forza carlist, DLC is not important.

The R8 has been fixed a few updates ago. Not sure about the VW.

What was the question again? Oh yea, I rather see 5-10 new tracks rather than cars at this point for a DLC. We might get Twin Ring Motegi as its at the tail end of the GT Academy. U never know.
