Simulate GT3 Time Trials in GT4

Can't let GP get me by less than .1, lol.
Spent about an 45min to get this time:
TT4 - 1:21.426 (been .2 faster at the last T marker )
Its clean tho I'll just double check b4 I post them.

Kelly if it makes you feel better I had to use TCS as well with that beast, an RR car with that kind of power is not very pleasant to drive,

Hey, Mr. P.....at Deep Forest, do we have to keep 2 wheels inside of the red rumble strips or is the concrete considered legal... such as the s-curves just before the first bridge in sector 1?

I've gotten used to using the concrete in most other challenges.

Great minds think alike Jerome I was running TT4 also .. down to 26.717 / 57.402 = 1'21.000 so far but I reckon another .7 - 1 second is still on the track! ... gonna try some more tomorrow 👍

Yep 2 wheels must be in contact with the red rumble strips as the farthest point before error occurs on the parts with the cobbles/ concrete .. the horseshoe before the uphill towards T2 is a prime example and a great challenge to get flat out and clean 👍 it's rewarding when you get it though! .. until you go off on the last bend that is

I was working my way down through 1:21.3's when I realized that the concrete was most likely not legal in a TT simulation. Okay, cool...I'll go back to work on it.👍

HOT DAMN Ron! Your TT8 is totally killer! I'm WAYYYYYY behind you I'm at 1:26.982 or so after 30 min of work....2 flippin' seconds! I also have a new time for TT5 but I'll fill that in here later.

Cheers mate 👍 I will probably make some videos and host them on youtube of my replays and all the other 1st places and link them to the leaderboard for the drivers who cant view alternate regions I will probably beat that TT8 time though as I have a 1'23.7 in another suby from last year ..

Nope, sorry Hugo! In the TT competition we can't go past the rumbles/curbs anywhere, have to have at least two tires in contact with, or directly above at all times. Just to keep it like we used to do it in the WRS, and how it was done by GT3 in it's real time trials. 👍

The WRS allowed it, as well as most Ron himself on the Racecars @ Midfield challenge - according the simplified OLR rule, "As long as 2 wheels or less on the grass, and no walls".

Sorry mate as Kyle said it's simply to keep these tests with the same restrictions that the GT3 TT's had 👍 looking at those splits you lost a few tenths in the last section anyway that T2 is awesome

I just viewed all 7 of the replays you posted Jerome and here's my findings ..

TT1 - Session save 2nd lap - 1'17.049 'Clean' 👍
TT2 - Session save 1st lap - 1'39.698 - '3 wheels off before Tunnel 1'
TT3 - Session save 2nd lap - 1'51.627 'Clean' 👍
TT4 - Normal save - 1'21.426 'Clean' 👍
TT5 - Session save 1st lap - 1'25.273 - '3 wheels off before T1'
TT6 - Session save 1st lap - 1'11.476 'Clean' 👍
TT7 - Session save 2nd lap - 1'39.025 - '3 wheels off before T1'

I see now you posted that TT2 and TT5 had offs and fairplay to you mate for posting regarding it but you had a tiny error on TT7 and I snapped a pic to show you it anyway ...

Here's the 2 others from TT2 and TT5 also ...

I will remove your TT2, TT5, and TT7 from the Leaderboard and update again when you have redone them 👍 Thanks for posting them and sorry about my stringent rules in this comp but anyone who has the tinyest of offs will have to run it again if they want a time on that test

improved my tt1 laptime to 1.20.276 because i wanted to show badboy that i am any good at one of my favvie tracks
to ron. this one i actually saved while the others i didnt. and its even clean in the tunnel before the finish tho if it would be my challenge i'd allow sub-rumble offs if there was tarmac to drive on. so if you will need replays you might just as well remove the others mate. no probs there 👍

Only the top 3 times for each test are rquested to be posted after a 2 week period on top of the said test! ... But if someone posts a replay for a 5th place time I will view it and if it is off or beyond the limits of the allowances for that said test it will be removed from the Leaderboard

Upload if you are sure it is legal and as said only top 3 times will be required! non top 3times are purely at the drivers decision to upload 👍

I just sat and viewed all my replays and have 2 runs that need re-running

TT2 - 1st little turn about 4 seconds into the lap I have a miniscule 3 wheel incident and the rest of the lap is clean ... Deleted

TT9 - The Horseshoe before T2 I have a speed drop and too close to call so laptime also .. Deleted

I will rerun both of these today and get fresh updates 👍

All my other laps are 100% within the boundaries and will upload them with the replaced TT2 and TT9 asap

I make it a habit of saving my TWO best times. While it cost me .5 this week I have the comfort of feeling I did my best to submit a clean time. Seems at the last minuet I double checked my best time and found myself afoul of the rules. Interestingly enough at the exact place you pointed out in one of your photos taken after T1!!! Thanks for the heads up. 👍

This comp has no exceptions whatsoever and even my own laps should have been scrutinized to be sure I'm running within the designated rules ... the 2 laps I have in question were very early runs by me just to get a time on the Leaderboard! .. but I should have been more efficient and checked them more thoroughly ... It gives me something to race anyway so thats a good thing

Ran a few more on TT2 and I have a clean one now ...

19.173 / 42.626 / 1'15.613 = 1'38.693

I wouldn't be surprised to see a faster racer post a 1'37 on this test as I lost a couple of tenths on a few bends here and there.

Not just yet... After you put in some work I decided it would be nice to try again... Then P mentioned the bad replay and since I'd have to do maxdrive time any way, might as work for a better lap before hand.
That said, I've been busy and today is the day I will get in my best attempts... Should it not work out I will post my old replay again. 👍
Back later and hopefully with a time below 6'57.0
Right now I can get as much as .6 by T1, keeping the pace might let me find a few other spots to make serious gains.
In time I'd like to think I could go below 6'55 but that is still some time away.

Btw, one thing I love about the RGT is how it actually claimed a spot among the best GT sports cars on the Ring. The lap time is becoming more and more worthy of the cars status. 👍
