You going to participate this season?

I'm not convinced that I have the attention span to be able to race for 45 minutes consecutively

However, if a team needs a test driver to try out setups/car combos (or if you *really* need someone to race if a teammate is busy), I don't have a problem doing that since I'm at home most of the time now anyway.

Vol, put me down for taking part, but only if needed.

If you have enough new people, I'd say give them a spot on the grid 👍

I would love to get up at least 6 constructors and 24 drivers. We will have plenty of room for you. The more the merrier.

Count me in.

Done.

Well, we won't need ringers. But, come on. You are watching most of the races. It'll be good for you, learning to focus for that long. It'll help make you a better driver.

Yeah, that's the ticket.

Vol, I think we need to actively encourage drivers of all skill levels to join. We could run a qualifier for everyone, and then seed the drivers that way. Break up the list into say four groups, and the constructors must have one driver of every skill level.

Oh, ok....put me in the draft then, lol

I'm trying to get more to join.

I think though, that the draft would take care of sorting people out by skill level. If we have four groups, that would be the same as each team getting four picks. The first group goes first, then the second group, and so on.

It is like letting the market to decide.

Still, not sure how to get more to join. Trust me, anyone out there reading this and not sure, "YOU WON'T BE SLOWER THAN ME."

I'm in but there is a good chance I will be MIA for at least half of September, maybe longer.

I have the perfect Toyota X-Runner for this qualifying :D It's a real test of skill to drive (with a DS3 anyways). I was going to try and build it as an underdog of sorts at 355hp, but it doesn't respond well to sudden gas!

Change the engine to a diesel and smoke out everyone behind when you fire it up on the starting grid :sly:

If only 6BT swaps were available! Or the Ram was a 3/4 ton diesel. It would be even worse than a modified Hemi. But the 'yota is fun to drive, just a handful. Would be good to see who the best drivers are.

(drops name into the hat)

Count me in!

If mopar and I are split, who has rights to the Shelby? I'm a bit concerned with full damage having seen the ramifications and accusations in some of the initials Lemons series, but as long as folks are aware of they're brake points and cognisant of drivers position around them, I think we'll be set. I'll say this, starting high on poll will be every more important this season.

That is a good question. And of all the cars, the Shelby, in its correct supercharged configuration, is one that would be a good contender.

As to damage... yes, everyone will need to step up their game.

And later I'll have a poll for tracks. Keep that in mind. Maybe we won't have Madrid next season.

Please, gods of the track, don't let me be caught up in the big accident at the chicane.

That 98kg of ballast (1202kg stock) could make it interesting to set up though :)

In fairness it was Mopar suggestion, so if he wanted to stick with it, I'm game to find a new set of wheels.

I'm going to edit the first post tomorrow, but I'm going to drop this back down to four weeks.

Sometimes I read what diabolic writes... and just have no clue.

PS. I miss words ending with the long O sound being yelled repeatedly in the distance.

3 things:

7. I prefer to be isosceles.
B. I still need to be added to the available driver list.
2. Woooo!

7. I prefer to be isosceles.

err, what? What does that have to do with the tuner series? You want an equal partner?

so...you are being blunt in that you want an equal partner in order to dominate Earth...I mean the series?

as opposed to being obtuse

No, you've got the terms mixed up. Isosceles, which has two equal angles, equilateral, which has three, and scalene, which has none; that's the overall shape of the triangle. Then there's right, acute, and obtuse, which refers to the inside angle.

B. I still need to be added to the available driver list.

In the spreadsheet, you're listed as the manufacturer though so you wouldnt need to be in the draft, would you?

Edit: I have a few cars that I've been testing my measly tuning skills on. I thought I was making progress without googling a setup. When I felt my setup was good enough, I did google one and put it on....and went half a second faster straight away :(

I still prefer isosceles when speaking about triangle related things :D

::::

I do not wish to be a constructor because I desire to race.

I would like to keep my entire team from season one if they are willing to stay. If we get enough participation to have two divisions, then I would like to be the fourth driver on my team.
