Vol JbolazDone.
I've added you, too, but... are you really in Egypt? If so, take in into consideration that the races will start at 22:00 Eastern (which is currently UTC -4). Also, latency may be a concern in a room with 10+ drivers. Hopefully things work out.
p.s. Everyone, this would put us at 16 drivers for 5 teams. If we can get four more drivers, then things will work out. If we don't, then we are in something of an un-even bind.
Can you say to me by GMT time so i can understand that (at 22:00 Eastern (which is currently UTC -4) as which country you are in now ? In your profile shows that you are in USA correct me thanks .
Question; if we get enough interest to have teams of four, will we just break into another lounge with two drivers from each team?
I'm going to pose this question in the poll. One of the teams from last season used the FD, and another used the Z33. Should we allow the FC or the Z34 to be used by other teams, or does the use of the FD mean that team gets the entire RX-7 and the use of the Z33 means that team gets all models of the Fairlady Z? You don't have to answer now.
Yes! And one room will run the 355/1300 cars (and I'm calling that the SC class in my head), and the other room will run a GT class (not sure just how big those should be, it'll be in the poll).
This leaves Red, Yellow, Blue, Purple, and grayscale.
I'll take anything that's not Purple or Blue.I am changing my team to Gold (Yellow)
As far as the draft, I presume whomever gets first pick in round 1 gets last pick in round 2, etc?
I've been wanting to try 2 classes on the same track for a while now. But with only 20 drivers, that'd put you only racing against 4 other drivers in your class. And that's assuming everyone shows up. Not sure how you'd do points across 2 rooms, either (though I'm sure garris would come up with something great).
I think we need at least 12 in a room to do 2 classes. 14 would be even better.
Did you get my PM about car selection?
Thx.Yes, it will be a snaking draft.
Yeah. If we get 20, then we'll do 2 rooms of 10 each. I, too, would like to get to 30, and have 2 rooms of 15 each, but... that is just a silly pipe dream.
Thx.
My advice, on 2 rooms of 10: 2 quit the season, one can't show, one no-show and it's only a 6 car race.
Better to have one full class than 2 half-full classes. 20 drivers at season start = 10-15 drivers through the season.
Well, someone will be awol within a week almost guaranteed, so it might be easiest to have them drive whatever and transfer their points to whichever team loses a driver first. Assuming 16 show up in the first place, if not they could just act as a substitute for teams missing a driver.Yeah, very likely. Which is sad.
Right now, we have sixteen drivers signed up. We only have five tuners, so we have to have a number of drivers divisible by five. It is possible we may have an unaffiliated driver.

After car selection and I build, test and setup the car. Do I just share my car or do the drivers on my team buy the same car and set it up the way I say?
Last season, we started with 14 and finished with 12. So hopefully we won't have too high an attrition.
For right now, I'm going to say we have 15 drivers that will start this season. So, sorry to the sixteenth driver that signed up. You won't get to race unless 1) we get up to 20 drivers, or 2) one of the previous 15 drivers drops.
Also, do I build a different tune for each driver? Or is it one tune to serve them all?
This season, though, they all have to drive the same car, which everyone just happened to do last season.

The 2 separate series idea sounds like fun, but why not keep them all on the same track like ALMS? Complete mayhem I'm sure, but the added variable of traffic could be interesting Just finished watching Mid Ohio, I wouldn't take any racecraft lessons from that event haha
This isn't a serious suggestion, more of a fun thought experiment. Something I would love to try one day if it's not too much of a logistical nightmare.
Don't be sorry i signed up late so iam not lukey to join this shootout wish you the best .thanks
