Ok, finances updated including Flynn's 14 Cr donation and Fabmaru's jinx fix.

My parts.
Code:
Parts                                  Price
Limited-slip: 1.5-way                  4,000

SVX -- Nissan Silvia (S13) Mods:

Starting balance -- 3,564

Mods:

Sports Exhaust = 1,500CR -- 3,564CR = 2,064
Racing Chip = 1,000CR -- 2,064 = 1,064CR
Racing Flywheel = 900CR -- 1,064CR = 164CR

225BHP -- 299NM.

Ooooh, even better!

Time for moar overnight parts from Japan. HKS just sent me a front mount air to air racing intercooler for 2,700 cr. With so many long straightaways and the oval track, I'm gambling moar powah will drop my times more than a proper suspension. It's not like the RX-7 has a bad one anyway.

BH, you can give Flynn his money back any time since I don't have a great need for it anymore. But I won't be upset if you don't. :lol:

It is time for that friendly thursday reminder. The following drivers have yet to submit their times for this week:

Car-Less
Driftking18594
GrumpEone
Hot_shoe
Ignignoc N Err
Jet Badger
Korza493

P.S. I gave Flynn his 14 CR back.

Curious how you can come up with odds you are willing to stand against before upgrades are chosen. Specially with a bunch of the same cars, having different odds. But I can't really argue with your handicapping of the drivers' and their abilities... yet. :)
Not so sure about the betting aspect of the Sunday Cup, but I'll give it a whirl this week. (see below)

It's a complex formula that takes into account each cars stock performance potential, the previous weeks upgrades and points scored. It doesn't account for drivers or funds available though, so I just have to hope that everyone upgrades at a similar rate and nobody makes any massive time improvements from the previous week.

This week will be a good test of how well it work though. As you noted there are seemingly identical cars with different odds, and with almost 2,000cr in bets taken I could be paying out over 4,000cr if I got it wrong :ouch:

EDIT: Now is this betting that those you bet on will finish in the top 3 on any of the week's races, or top six?

Code:
Betting:
GrumpEone (1:2)		  100 CR
[B]Driftking18594 (1:5)	   50 CR[/B]
Carless (5:1)		  100 CR

Ending Balance:		   36 CR

I stated that this week I'd only accept multiples of 20cr, so your bet on Driftking is not valid. Do you want to adjust it or drop it altogether?

...and bets this week are for podium places, or top 3 in any race. I might have to alter that for next week if I payout too much though.

Then 500 on Fabmaru, 500 on driftking, and 500 on Hot_shoe. :sly: I dont think thats a legal bet either, so 500 on Fabmaru if I cant do the first option.

Thanks for getting me to take a closer look at myself flynn, Id like to bet 500 on myself car less.

I will put my 500cr bet back on you for this week, this is my final answer... I think.

Just to be clear, you're putting your entire 500cr betting allowance on Fabmaru this week?

Time for moar overnight parts from Japan. HKS just sent me a front mount air to air racing intercooler for 2,700 cr. With so many long straightaways and the oval track, I'm gambling moar powah will drop my times more than a proper suspension. It's not like the RX-7 has a bad one anyway.

Could you (and anyone else that hasn't done so) give me a clue how much each modification has improved your power and weight please. It'll help me to work out next weeks odds.

My Miata is in the same state of tune as it was last week: oil change (getting up there in miles again) and sports chip, nothing else. I will edit this post with power and weight figures when I get home this evening.

EDIT: 89' Mazda MX-5 Miata (NA) 124 bhp, 940kg
Oil change
Sports Chip
S2 tires

Mitsubishi FTO GP Version R '97
206hp / 1081kg

Having spent so much time driving classics and other cars since I last took the FTO out, I elected to run each track once with the car as I left it last week, and it was meh. The power was lacking, handling was understeery and grip non existant in the lower gears. A quick trip to the mod shop and things were a little better.

Code:
Description			Change	Balance
===============================================[COLOR="Slategray"][I]
Opening balance	  			  7,800
Bought FTO GP Version R		-7,559	    241
Oil Change (180hp -> 198hp)	-   50	    191
Week 1 Bonus			+1,000	  1,191[/I][/COLOR][B]
Week 2 Winnings			+  800	  1,991
Week 2 Bonus			+2,350	  4,341[COLOR="DarkRed"]
Racing Chip (198hp -> 206hp)	-1,250	  3,091
Weight Stage1 (1150 -> 1081)	-1,100	  1,991
Wing				-1,200	    791[/B][/COLOR]

I now had 2 chances to set a good time.

Tsukuba and Suzuka East were spent fine tuning the downforce, so I don't think I got the full potential out of the car at these tracks. Additionally, with this car being so bad at standing starts I was always still in last place going into turn 1 at Suzuka East.
Super Speedway and Clubman Stage 5 were much better. I had a feel for how the car had changed and was quickly able to set some consistant times.
Seoul Central held a bit of a surprise though. With the rear focused weight reduction, and massively increased front downforce this car now exhibited entry oversteer at speed - the back end trying to pass the front as I approached turn 1, and it was even worse with the even higher speed on lap 2.

Having addressed some of this cars issues, I hope to score slightly higher than last week.

I have just spent a total of €3,500 on Stage 1 weight reduction (€1,000), a Sports-grade exhaust (€1,500) and a racing chip (€1,000).

Also, I'm betting €500 on myself.

This week I brought the Silvia a Computer Chip, A Sports Flywheel, a Sports Exhaust and Stage 1 weight reduction for 4,100 Cr.

Driftking18595, I know you have the same car as myself but you still have to list the cost of each part you buy.

Could you (and anyone else that hasn't done so) give me a clue how much each modification has improved your power and weight please. It'll help me to work out next weeks odds.

This week I brought the Silvia a Computer Chip, A Sports Flywheel, a Sports Exhaust and Stage 1 weight reduction for 4,100 Cr.

So I guess you meant;
This week I brought the Silvia a Computer Chip for 1,000cr taking the power to 213hp, A Sports Flywheel for 400cr, a Sports Exhaust for 1,500cr taking the power to 223hp and Stage 1 weight reduction for 1,000cr dropping the weight to 1099kg for a total cost of 4,100 Cr?

I think those are the right power figures, but as my Silvia K's '91 is an un-oiled 6.2 miler I cannot be sure.

About 24 hours left. The following drivers times have yet to be submitted:

Driftking18594
Hot_shoe
Ignignoc N Err
Jet Badger
