TCV5 HURRY THE HELL UP thread

It's ok, only our accents suck. Too bad my accent's English :sly:

PF
Codename-L: ouch... For the record, not all Aussies are inbred, illiterate, knuckle-dragging philistines. I, for example, am semi-literate (on a good day). Expect a savage, hate-filled car review in the next few days (j/k).

Codename L is disqualified for insulting the judges. :P jk. Like PF has already mentioned, we aren't complete morons. Some of us (moi! :P) have a tendency to show the more "colourful" side of the Australian persona, where some of the others are quite mild mannered tykes. :sly: And then you have Paulie, who is still a mystery to the rest of us Aussies. :D

:scared: It seems you guys thought I really meant it. I was just joking, of course. :) As far as stereotypes go, I should be the one who's worried.

I swear I'm going crazy with the wait! :ill: Just to know, what's the next step in this competition? Do the other judges have to post their lightweight results, or does Parnelli have to post his middleweight results?

The way i see it (which is probably wrong :)) the judges can post up their results as soon as they complete them, there's no need for an order.

I too can't wait for the rest of the results, i'm so happy with the mark my Stratos got i want to see what the rest of the numbers come out like!!

Judges can post at any time. WE can post one car at a time (I think), but I find this to be a bit unfair. I'd rather post an entire division, instead. This way everyone gets to see each other's cars in the limelight. Everyone gets some critisicms, but also some praises. 💡

Last nite, I finished up with D24/7's Middleweight Protomotor Spirra. Which means I only have to do the DeLorean, Clio, Solstice, and Bathurst.

I understand the Bathurst is tricky to find? Which is gonna make finishing Middleweight take even longer cuz I still gotta do the S-license for McSqueegy's vehicle. :ouch: I'm not worried about the S, but it might still take awhile.

I know you guys don't wanna hear this, but I"m going camping the next 3 days. I got to..it's summer time, and all that. Look for me to be done with Middleweight (let's hope) by early next week. :)

Adding to that, I could post half of the middleweights now, and the rest whenever I can. That shouldn't cause much conflict... Let me know what you guys think about that.

@ Parnelli: I don't think the Bathurst comes in a 10km version for NTSC, hence the alternative setup for a used car. I may be wrong, however...

Hmm, strange, I get on with all the Aussies except you. *Jokes of course*

Is Paulie part of a tuning shop here at GTP? Couldn't find any info.

May I ask why? For the purpose of my Merc it was Aussie Tuners. The Lion's Den involves a far more advanced style of tuning from me IMO.

What Parnelli does is list the tuning garage under the name of the tuner, just to recognise where it's from. If the tuner doesn't have a garage, then they will be listed as 'independent'.

Edit: If you guys are lucky, I'll have middleweight finished by tomorrow night :). I've still got school, and homework etc etc. so I think I'm doing well so far.

Yes, you're well known for that axe :P

Results should be up in... 12-15 hours? Depends if I get all my homework done... damn teachers, it's my first day back!!! And just to let you guys know, there are 3 cars that have a perfect score for laptime. One of them's in the 1'20's  But I've made sure that hasn't swayed the scores too much, since Leo's axe is out :D

That's good to hear. Keep up the good work, Mr Judge. I'd rather not use my axe since the bloodstains are so hard to get off the clothes and carpets..

I think he means burn the floor after it gets bloodstained. The body is an altogether different problem.

I'm going to fence sit for AGES just for Leo and make sure his car is last to test in Lightweight and Middleweight.....there will be splinters sticking out of my rear from the amount of waiting and fence sitting, testing everyone else's cars first. :embarrassed::P

Middleweight results will be up shortly... school's just finished and I have to go home now! I'm going to chuck everything up, so I'd appreciate it if you guys could point out any errors you find.

Scores are tight, too ;)

So we've got one set of results for lightweight and one set for middleweight from alternate judges. Does that mean I do heavyweight or supercar first?? :sly:

As you can tell, I'm looking for excuses to make it longer between judging the lighter categories for Leo's sake. :P

I just wanted to do middleweight first, because there's already some scores for lightweight, and I figured everyone was anxious to see how their second car went.

And congrats to RJ, I left his entry last for good reason. Couldn't resist dude ;)
