On a 4-11 on Saturday so remove me from the list as I know now I can't race..

I'll stick with the Ferrari guys...the R390 needs a lot of time for the tune...Ferrari is plenty of fun.

I had another productive test tonight with Jerome. I'm working on consistency with the car. 1.25s are becoming way more easily obtainable as long as I don't over drive the car. I made a 15 lap stint on the car tonight, so I have a good idea on how the tires wear. I'm not sure how many stops to make. I'm assuming at least a caution or 2 in the race. Strategy will play a key role in who wins this Saturday.

My practicing for another series ends around the start of this. Not sure how long that will run over. But if the series is starting around this time I should make it then. Not so sure about this spot race.

Season 4 will start about 30-45 minutes later, this is early because its longer.

Seth if your talking about Jstc we can make arrangements. What time is this starting Pst, and what are th target times for the GT class?

I also did 15 laps and I haven't put that many laps on racing mediums in a looong time :) DP drivers will lap us about every 12 laps I'd wager.

I also found my lap times are about a second off-pace with the tire wear. When I was testing, it was in offline mode with no tire wear. I did this for all the cars I tested, so its still a level playing field. But I'll probably only get a handful of 1:33.5-ish laps during the race and I'll need a good draft to have a shot at 32's.

I do wish I had more time to tune the R390, but I have in-laws coming over tomorrow and there's stuff to be done. But I'm told I have time for the race :sly:

Does everyone have to pit on the same lap, or can we pit whenever we want?

We pit whenever we feel like. The only time we're not permitted is as soon as caution is called by at least 2 people. A pit lap will follow a slow lap and stop period. Then this is where you can pit freely again.

Example includes Suzuka from season 3. I pitted lap 17 I believe, Storm & Sail the following lap. Whilst they were in the pits, a caution was called ( 🤬 right when I did a glorious pit stop undercut as well 🤬 ) and so none of the GT pitted when pits opened, and GT gained most of their lap back, but we slowed back down for the green flag scenario. I still have the replay, though no decent recording device.

I think the only time you aren't supposed to pit is when the caution goes live. I know in Season 2, at Suzuka funnily enough, a caution went live and the dude I was fighting with instantly swerved into the pits. It wasn't specifically stated that you aren't meant to, but I think to the rest of DP and GT were aware that pits close until further notice under a caution.

Woah, just tried this tune and got 1:26.0 thats over a second faster than my previous time!

:nervous: I finally got to practice last night and my best (with that tune) was 1:28.001. I have a mid 27 in me but that's probably about it. I'll try my best to stay out of everyone's way. :dunce:

My best when i started was 1:29. Something. I've been practicing quite a bit. You should be able to get quicker.

I tried the tune for about 15 min. and saw it still needed some work to have any sort of confidence exiting turns on this flat track. GL up in front and remember to stay out of our way! :dopey:

Yeah, the first two or three laps were good but as soon as the tires started to wear the back end suddenly became very loose on exit. After 10 laps the tires were quickly becoming useless, I imagine I'll need at least 4-5 pitstops.

If the back end is getting too loose you could go for a higher anti-roll at the rear compared to the front. In turn, add a little more front camber than rear camber, since there's more roll in the front as a result, you can tilt the camber so that the contact stays on the bulk of the tyre more through corners.

My tire wear on my own personal setup is fairly even. That's all I really shoot for. I don't care if they wear more than everyone else, but I want them to wear out evenly between all 4 tires.

That's a good ethos to have.

That's a good ethos to have.

It helps the car's balance when the tires have a lot of laps on them. If the front or rear tires wear out faster, that makes the handling deteriorate more drastically.

Here's what I run as of now

Downforce; 33/77

Suspension;

Ride Height- -5/-5
LSD- 13/9/8
Springs- 15.5/15.0
Dampers- 7/5 4/3
roll bars- 3/3
camber- 2.2/1.0
toe- -.05/.22

Wow good luck with that. Especially on worn tires. If you can control it, it will be fast.

Good luck with what? I've been had this setup. Drives fine, less wheelspin, less downforce for higher speed.

Starting on my Indy practice now finally I'll have my car selection up in a hour or two.

Hopefully I'll finally crash to sleep soon.

Until then let's make a list of those who can make it tonight because it seems some are assuming that there are MULTIPLE cars available. From what I can tell, only 1 Nissan remains...
