And here I thought being poor wasn't so bad after all, not having to bother with a PS4 or PS5 for Gran Turismo 7. They not only shatter hopes and dreams from us, but expect people to play 24/7 to get the cars people need, even with the crappy payouts.

If they won't learn it now, they will never learn it, ever. Indeed, this is why we can't have nice things.

That's why I refuse to play into the fake inflation game PD has created. I think I'll make myself CEO of Google in the game so I can afford the cars lol.

At first I thought it must be all Sony's doing, forcing poor innocent PD to turn their beloved series into a cash grab against their will.
But after seeing some of PD's absolutely clueless game design decisions unrelated to the game economy, i'm becoming convinced they're as equally to blame, whether that be through as much greed and malice as Sony or general incompetence, that i'm not sure of.

Crazy increases on the Mercedes and Porsche... so glad I'll be done with Hagerty by end Sept (other than new ones). Only one of those left for me is going up and that's the Aston DB3S, so just an additional million to find...

What bothers me more than anything is you just know Kaz is beside himself with joy every time the prices change because he thinks it's a cool feature. It's honestly depressing this is what GT has turned into. Luckily I don't feel the need to collect all the cars so it doesn't affect me as much but a few like the McLaren F1 I would like to get but I just can't tolerate that level of grind with so few race options.

Remember, Polyphony has been trying to extract as much money out of these games as possible since the PS3. Don't forget GT HD.

PD can go **** themselves at this point. These are just cars I’ll never own. No offense to any other players who have the time but I have a life, two jobs, and plenty of other games to play. I’m not spending hours upon hours grinding the same races for any of these insanely priced cars. The greed is palpable.

Anyone ever wondered if this constitute a form of price gouging? That's another list of something one can file a legal complaint against PD (and Hagerty, if necessary, since they're complicit in it).

Strong words, but I share your feelings.

I was lucky to be here at a time where things like the AFK script, Tomahawk X PP exploit and the Ticket glitch were a thing. These exploits and glitches allowed me and many players to get hundreds of millions of credits in that time period.

Because otherwise.
Despite the fact that I've completed and golded every single event in this game and even before all the exploits, I still grinded Fisherman's Ranch for a few days, I would still be nowhere near halfway through the credits necessary for half the cars, and I would have like 3 or 4 engines that can be swapped for other cars. Because I, like you, sure as hell wouldn't be be grinding for hundreds of hours to get all these cars and their tuning parts.

Grinding should not be worth 95% of the time you spend in the game. That's simply horrid game design.

If I'm reading correctly, the total is about 21M (despite what the title says).

Fun fact, that's about $210 USD in MTX.

Hm, I wonder why PD might be so interested in increasing prices?
You're not reading correctly. The 54 cars for which we know their post-1.20 prices cost a total of 236,107,400 Cr. between 1.15 and 1.20, and they will cost a total of 252,485,400 Cr. upon their next appearances post-1.20, an increase of 16,378,000 Cr.

21 million credits would be wrong even if the pre-1.15 prices were used - the change in prices of those 54 cars from then to post-1.20 is 25,304,900 Cr.

Considering at least some of the 12 cars that we don't yet know their post-1.20 prices are certain to increase in price, we may yet end up closer to $210 in MTX to cover just the increases than the over-$160 that we know about.

Thanks for the correction, I guess I misunderstood what someone was talking about previously.

Still, it is an incredible increase in price.

Especially since the May update, featuring more increases and fewer decreases, added up to just under 11,000,000 Cr.

So let me get this straight, there's been a ~16 Million credit cost increase for the time-limited dealership, with no increases whatsoever in the credit earn rate to offset these increases?

I truly do not get how anybody could defend this when PD have a very clear lack of respect for their consumers and their time.

Absurd, absolutely absurd. This is a video game. Much of the real world is currently facing massive inflation and rising costs, millions of people are concerned about it and how they're going to pay for things.

For PD to needlessly bring this negativity into a fictional game created for fun, that people play to ESCAPE reality even for just a few hours, is ridiculous, incredibly tone deaf.

Nobody wants this. Nobody thinks this is fun.
Honestly, this is a fare response. Like, I get the idea of what they were trying to do, but they clearly can't read the room and it kinda takes the enjoyment out of the game. Its fine having some cars more expensive, but keep them no more than like 5 to 10 million at max.

Simple strategy - just don't bother with the hyper expensive cars. Most I have spend in Legends is 6 million for the D Type, I'm just ignoring the vast majority.
Like real life. Sure, I just bought the MP4/4, but even though I’m placing high priced cars as No go zones, we all shouldn’t have to think about budgeting for any of these cars.

I'll get quasar incinerated for saying, but I wish the lot of these particular cars were even more expensive. I'd prefer they not be relatively easy or routine to obtain.
And we will be right when we incinerate you. Unless you grind one of the Meta Four events, or are very good on dirt, you don't even earn 800,000 Cr. per hour of game play. If you play legitimately, even grinding the most-lucrative 3 of the Meta Four gets you roughly 1,600,000 Cr. per hour of game play. You want us to have to put in a full workweek to buy one car? I'd be permanently banned if I told you what you can do with that idea.

Good thing I only have the Alfa 8C and Ferrari 365 left to buy and 10 million credits. Not much grinding left for cars.

I would love knowing that at least one single PD guy is reading this topic. So many good ideas in it eheh

Once we were full of long championships in the game. It is a shame in Gt7. It is a mess. It is confusing. And the only endurance they were able to propose are in missions so are not playable anymore…oh yes, for free…

And they do not listen at all. Even worse it is that if i read the patch notes or the blog post about the last update it seems they thake fun of us. I do not understand.

You guys hungry for more extra menus?

Did it go down 190% like the 911 GT1 went up? No. It doesn't really work both ways, if you look at the list of price moves.

I must remember the smiley face next time :D

On a serious note, I agree. As I mentioned on another thread, disgraceful move isn't it.

Although still not a great move, if they had at least added more higher paying races too, but no its a one way straight.

This 'Hegarty' partnership thing is great isn't it.

How out of touch are PD with their fan base? It's hardly a big secret that a significant part of the gt audience has expressed concerns across various social media platforms around tge game economy. And they continue to alienate further with moves like this.

I say this with no smugness, but I'm glad people had chance to exploit their 'system' with afk, tomahawk and roulette glitch. I guess going by PD's history, there's a good chance something like that will emerge again...

People dealing with inflation irl, last thing we need is it being introduced into games too... or if you're going to do it, give plenty of options to mitigate through earning credits.

Plus that letter he wrote about selling cars months ago...
