the "just plain ugly" car thread

Hyundai BT01 (Sonata) it was a China only model.

Looking through classic cars on eBay led me to something I forgot all about. One of the less successful shooting-brake designs made the Allegro even more unsightly.

Round quad headlamps = mini Scimitar

EDIT: With the Scimitar in mind, the SS1 version had a very low, sloping wedge shape With a disproportionately steep windscreen that reminds me of the Consulier GTP. Probably why it looks so depressed.

I quite like the new S-Class coupe. On the other hand...I really don't like any of Cadillac's recent coupes. :yuck:

They just don't seem proportioned well... The CTS coupe would look fine, but once again a coupe based off of a sedan with the sedan's front end just doesn't work.

But the rear......

I agree completely. I just saw a thumbnail of the front at TopGear.com, and in my head I was like, "Ooohh...that's classy." But then I got to see the back, and I was like, "HOLY 🤬 ROBOT FACE!!??"

I have one. It's a bit cramped inside but its not too bad.
I'm sorry slash, but I just can't like it. It doesn't even come as a hatchback and the front just doesn't work. Ugly looks, no hatchback option, and no proper performance model. It goes into my personal list of the worst decisions Ford ever made.

The front looks fine to me its the back that looks bad in my opinion. Ill be honest I've never been a big fan but it isn't too bad. Needs more power though, 140 doesn't cut it. Then again I can't stand hatchbacks for the most part.

Funny, it's the opposite for me. I like the back, but hate the front; that grill is blah and I don't like that the headlights are skinnier on one side than the other. Also yes, that's what I mean; they just screwed it up when they could've just imported a Euro Mk.2 focus and that would've been fine. I love hatchbacks though.

You quoted something from 2007 just to talk about a Foxbody?

edit: and of course, it wouldn't be complete without Slashfan joining in.

Why does it matter?

See I like the front. It looks a bit aggressive. Interesting.

Didn't know this Ssangyong existed...

Why on Earth did you post the best side?

This is the 2014 Rodius for anyone who isn't aware. We all know how well-received the first gen design was by now.

That redesign is practically handsome in comparison, though.
