Does anyone know if the DFP will work with Xbox with an adapter? I don't want to have to reinvest in another wheel when Forza comes out if I don't have to.

I wouldn't have thought so, wheel's have to have full software support and as Logitech have nothing to do with Forza I can't see it working.

I'm also a little unsure whether to buy another wheel or not and after being spoiled with Logitech goods for so long I don't know how the Speedster will compare...or Forza in general for that matter :indiff:

Does anybody know if it possible to cause some damage in the DFP,if it is used without the FF (with no electrical support i mean)?I find the feedback irritating sometimes so i get it unplugged..

after a few days i stopped noticing the wheel making much noise (turned volume up on tv and I'm playing some music also?)

And if many others can spinthe wheel fast enough with FF, why cant you guys? :sly:
I mean, in the great words of Cartman, "come on". The FF isnt even that strong in GT4.
Its all about driving skill. You can deffinatly tell the difference between someone drifting/racing with a wheel and someone with a DS2.

can i change to 200 degree mode in GT4? how is it done? i read that u press select R3 and right pedal, but this does nothing for me.. is there a certain place or u just cant get 200 degree in GT4

edit - using DFP of course

Press R3 Select and "right Pedal Shifter" :)

I seriously doubt that. What's irritating about the feedback?

thanks for the reply but like i said, i've tried this and it did nothing. is there a certain place where i have to do it?

just to be clear, are you using the right paddle, the button behind the steering wheel? If your not, then that is what you need to be pressing. If you are, then you may have a defective wheel. When you use this button combo, the wheel will make a clicking sound and the right led will turn off, indidcating 200 degree mode. using this same button combo again, the wheel will click and the right led will turn on, indicating 900 degree mode.

You can do it at any time....and yeah sorry about that ...its paddle not "pedal".
The Paddles"behind the wheel"
I hope that helps 💡

r3 + select + right pedal and no mather where...

falkenbok:are you weak or something? ff is not so strong..i get better times whit dfp and its not sohard to control slides...

Are there any easy ways to get some more resistance from the gas pedal? I like the force against the breaking pedal but when tryin to throttle at 50% I find it kinda hard to stay at the same percentage because I have almost nothing pressing against my feet.

Is there supposed to be a slight amount of free rotation in the DFP?

I mean, right at the center of steering action, I have this slight loose spot that doesn't feel right, it's like a clear edge. The wheel also makes a clacking sound every time it passes this edge. The rattling can be quite prominent if you drive on a rough surface and take your hands off the wheel.

Is this normal, or should I replace the wheel?

Help needed!

Thanks..

got a "Q" not about the DFP but another wheel.... I got a Saitek RX700 but cant get it to work in GT4! Do I have to buy a DFP? or what can be wrong?? It works in other racing games..

People asking about turning on 900 mode.
My wheel came with it enabled, so if you are havng problems getting it to work, you might just be turning it off instead of on. :)

I don't think that's normal...mine doesn't do that :)

Mine does this, but it may or may not be normal, since mine has seen a lot of use.

I might be fooling myself, but I think my wheel was a lot tighter (and better) when I first got it. It seems to have deteriorated.

I searched this thread, but didn't come up with anything concrete. If I want to use the DFP on my PC, are the MOMO USB drivers the best ones to use? Are they the only ones that will work? I've got Grand Prix 4 that I've never played, just because using a keyboard really sucks, and I'd like to use my wheel with the game. I'd also like to try out some of the other PC games, like RBR or GPL, as I've heard those are quite good as well.

Thanks for the tip. I got those drivers installed and the wheel calibrated itself and the wheel seems to be working fine, but the software doesn't seem to pick up the pedals. Any ideas? In the calibration screen, I press the pedals, but the displays don't show that I'm pressing the pedals.

Edit: the wheel is reported as a logitech driving force, not a driving force pro. I wonder if that has something to do with it.

i belive the free movement s from the wheel design , :P from my epxewirence cos when you turn left and right it has some resistance due to the bearings or whatever

the DFP does make abit of noise as someone has mentioend, try play rally wit hit.....i just turn the volume up on GT4

has anyone's pedal's detoriated? i can't rememebr how stiff the break pedal was but, now, if i push it a little bit with mu foot it feels very loose and free up until it records about 40% braking in GT4

Anyone find it weird to drive after using DFP? The first time I used DFP and went driving my steering input was all messed up.

yeah, i got in my olds 88 (as my friends call it, the grandma car), and the steering wheel was huge. So unrealistic compared to the dfp

I've recently had some trouble with my DFP, specifically the wheel. After awhile of racing, it sets itself off center. If you press select on the pause screen during a race, a picture of the wheel comes up on screen and when my wheel is centered, the wheel on screen is off to the side some. I can fix it temporarily by recalibrating it, but it will just set itself off center again. Is anyone else having this problem or know why it's doing this?

Finally someone else with this issue. The damm DFP is unusable for me because in anyturn that holds a position for long the thing won't return to center. Now no one else seems to have the problem but at least we're not alone now. Logitech has asked if I use it in 270 mode - great I had to shell out 100 and the wheel is half the wheel of my momo ferrari. The most fun is when after 2-3 laps the wheel hits lock left or right and you can't turn any more. I have to believe more people are seeing this.

Is there anymore info on this working with my comp besides the link?
The link doesn't give details, I'd actually like some.

The problem that I have is that the PC recognizes it as a Driving Force and not a Driving Force Pro. As a result, the pedals do not work. I've done some reading and it seems that the older 4.4 or 4.5 logitech drivers will work, but I haven't had time to try it out yet.

I had the same problem. WHat i did was i Uninstalled everything. the profiler, DXtweak, all the Steering wheel drivers I had and cleared callibrations and had the wheel unplugged.

then after a reboot and installing the new 4.6 drivers it recognized it as a DFP. 👍

I actually rebooted like 5 times and prayed alot... so i'm not sure exactly what i did. If my solution doesnt work for you, Ask on that Logitech Thread
