I need to adapt to it yet, but its so awesome!

dubtronixI did a search and could find nothing to fix this, so here goes. My wheel is only a couple of days old, REVB model. Everything was fine until the last couple of times I used it, it calibrates fine, whizzing round in both directions and stops with both green lights steady at 12 o'clock (dead centre). But now when I start a race, as soon as the START appears onscreen, the centre suddenly shifts so that the green lights are now at 1 o'clock (slightly to the right) and throughout the race in order to drive in a straight line I now have to keep the green lights at 1 o'clock instead of 12 o'clock.
Please can someone advise me. Is this something that can be fixed easily or is there something wrong with my wheel? Thanks.
AlaneyeI've had my DFP since around March and love it. But I have always had to unplug the USB lead and plug it in again to get it to calibrate when the PS2 is first powered up. After that, if I reset the PS2, the wheel would calibrate again, but if I powered off the PS2 completely, then turned it on again, I would have to unplug the USB again to calibrate. It's been a little irritating, but not much.
It's been that way since the day I got it, but since about Tuesday, it has started to calibrate from power up with out unplugging the USB! I'm not complaining, but what's that all about?

joseph dobsondoes the offical gran turismo 4 steering wheel come with paddle shift behind the wheel?
Mr DeapI had the same problem, but it's fix now (myself)
It's more like a plastic problem & not the sensor of the wheel. It's more like a production problem. The plastic for the accelerator pedal is not well made & make the accelerator sensor loose which make moving the brake sensor so it end up making the brake sensor flickering when you press the accelerator sometime.

Ikari_SanI doubt this could be fixed easily as it sounds more like a problem with it setting the dead centre position incorrectly, which is controlled by the FFB motor, the laser and the software. You could take the cover off and check if the laser is mounted correctly.
I would also try rotating the wheel from maximum right to left once the dead-centre positon changes in the game, as doing this might re-calibrate the wheel.
Ikari_SanThe wheel should auto-calibrate when starting a game that supports the wheel.
If you reset the console after the wheel has been auto-calibrated you may need to re-calibrate it again by unplugging and re-plugging it back in, otherwise you can get some strange results like pedals not working in some games etc.
Another stuff-up by Logitech. I believe their cordless controller also has issues when you reset or switch the console on/off, sometimes it refuses to work properly as the DFP does.
GT_Fan2005yeah the williams one is kind of, oblongish, its so good though, and ive played on a DFP
Ikari_SanARe you sure about that? On 2 of my REVB units they both said REVA on the inside of the steering wheel cover.
What's the deal? REVA wheel but REVB pedal set?
BTW they were both good quality wheels with perfect dead-centres (well they should all have them since the optical sensor positions it) , and they didn't exhibit any of the poor build quality reported in REVA units.
STINGER05veilsidebr: the way you drive you will have no problems doing that.....now there is even less chances to ever catch up with you! Also congrats to you on your nomination to the GTP Team, you deserve it!
GranTuri55I ask which wheel my Bro wants and he says he doesnt like the Williams 1 coz of the shape omg -.- i need fork out another £40 for something exacly the same.
he says he likes the little GT Silver badge in the middle of the DFP 1
