Did some testing last night with Ken and Mudd.

We decided on Regulations:

-601hp Limit

-Racing Hards

-No Aids

-Heavy Damage

Lap times are very similar to real world. Top speeds as well similar.

Cars drive well at this level. In the draft you have to let off for turns. Also as tires wear it will require some finesse. Should make interesting to see tire and fuel strategies.

Nice thing about the power level is no need to gave a car broken in to make regulations for race. :)

Also have a tentative date and start time:

-Saturday August 13th @ 6pm EDT

Official thread will be posted this week too!

Look forward to this one. These endurance ovals are a blast.

Nearing august already!?!?
Summer is going by too fast. :(
Is this at Indy or Daytona?
If my dad catches me doing an extended race in a NASCAR, I'll be sleeping outside. :scared:

ill join is it a private game and what is it called

I was planning on organizing the Brickyard. However life called. We was after a new puppy this fall/winter. When I resourced the breeder of my preferred bloodlines he had several litters advertised. None of which was exactly what I wanted. Told him what I was after and he told me he had a private breeding that he would let me in on beings I had been around and friends with him for over 15 yrs. That litter was 7 weeks when I got the email telling me I could get one. So it was either ship him or do a mini vacation and go pick him out. As well spend time with my friend. So we loaded up and drover there. 24 hrs of driving in three days.

Now home with pup, I had forgotten how much time these lil guys take up.

Was thinking about asking Crazy bassist to help. Maybe to late now.

Crazy if you read this. You interested in helping? Love to do this race!!!

I would love to help but my life is a little hectic at the moment so I can't make any promises. But we can start a new thread and layout the OP. And promote it and get entries. I can definitely help with the qualifying and race prep. Just let me know what needs to be done. I probably can start a OP but I would prefer if this was all under your name with your ARSA tag.

I have been racing a lot of restrictor plate races with the NASCARs lately and the majority seem to like ~500hp. Seems to be a little more accurate with real life. To be technical Indy is unrestricted, it is the way the car is setup in real life (non imaginary GT5 physics). Check out my Oval Tuning thread and check out the A-Spec Indy Tune. I use no power reduction but my tune drives on the edge of your seat like in real life and the lap times are on par with the 48 second laps they really run there. But since you can't regulate tuning, ~500hp seems to be good. 600hp which is what we agreed upon may be a little too fast in race with drafting.
