I did note in that last interview that they did new suspension modeling.

Yeah, I did so, too. Question is, were they talking about visual stuff or about the physics, or maybe even both?
Either way, open wheelers were demanded pretty badly, so I think there's a fair chance they did work on it...
There's about a 100 percent chance that they did work on it, but whether they felt the had the time and progress they were looking for is another story. If you're working on something that's due by Monday and you can tell by your progress Friday is the soonest it's getting anywhere near done then, well you're pretty much done.
The guys at T10 are smart and they dont show something too then never see it again.
Heat races were one of two new race types Turn 10 were showing off at E3, but there are unfortunately no weather effects planned for Forza 4. Were not doing weather in the game per se, said Wendl, but we are expanding out the kind of environments that youll be racing in, as well as were doing a feature which is alternate time of day. Otherwise known as the Heat race, where you get to race two legs of a race on two different times of day like Suzuka in high sun and low sun, something the image based lighting now allows them to do.
Taken from Xbox 360 (UK) Issue 73 - June 2011. Article about FM4, titled 'Drive to Win'. 'HIT THE ROAD - The deep future of Forza is promising indeed, but what of this Autumn and Forza 4? Will the series branch into other forms of motorsport - rallying, for example? Ice tracks? Snow? Greenawalt is less than impressed. "I don't think it would be physically difficult. But cars like the Ferrari Enzo just aren't made for off-road duty... so if you think of racing games as a series of events and the cars are just a tool, then it makes a lot of sense to go towards off-road, Paris-Dakar, Baja and whatever, right? And then you're just using the cars as a tool." Greenawalt doesn't appreciate cars as tools any more than he appreciates tools asking questions. "Think of it as... everyone has five cars they fall in love with, and we want to give them the biggest playground. There's still a lot of playground we can do before we've exhausted it. There are a lot of great things we can do with the conditions to make that playground very, very rich before we start making certain cars completely useless. It's not to say it's out of the question, I just feel we've got a lot of things to do, cool experiences, before we feel cornered into having to do that."
Awesome 👍
Few things: At the event :
- They have a couple of f1 drivers racingsuits from last year.
- A Mclaren f1 car from the 70's was in the firdt forza 4 announcement trailer.
-I have seen Rally cars and hints of dirt.
- Nightshots in the debut trailer.
This all leaves me to think that T20 has these things as trump cards that they will use later on nearing the official launch.
It could be a number of things, licensing & what not. Until you see the car in-game, don't assume it's there just because 1 appeared at the party. They've pulled stuff like that before, but never actually said the car that appeared at an event would be in-game.Nah, I'm not saying it's in. It's just one more indicator. And after what they did at the launcch event for FM3, it would seem silly to place an F1 car there. T10 should know that open wheelers have been requested quite a lot and that placing an F1 car at the event would spark a lot of speculation.
It's hard to think of a reason as to why they would put F1 driver suits and F1 cars there when they're just going to tell their audience that the stuff that was requested by the community and hinted at by T10 wouldn't appear in FM4.
Now all they have to do is let us upload images in PNG format without horrible JPEG compression and we'll achieve shots like that, too.

Yup. I don't mind using their servers one bit, if the pictures come out like tthey're supposed to.
Not to impressed with those pictures to be honest. They look kinda... I don't know, cartoony? Something seems a little off about them.
Regardless, I'll be picking this one up on day one.
Parker
Does this look cartoony to you? At least be man enough to admit its better than it was.
And will be giving all competing racinggames a run for their money.
