Thanks guys shopto it is then, was the pedal update easy and is there much difference ?

Yes easy to do, as stated by Captain Roh look at how they work particularly around the plastic part of the potentiometer and move it accordingly only minute adjustments is all that's needed.

This wheel beats my mates G27 hands down .

Yes from what i hear there a much better wheel than the G27, i just hope the the build quality is too, my G27 has been bulletproof.

EDIT: except for having to clean potentiometers a few times, due to brake spiking.

I'm slowly starting to learn the nuances of this new wheel and I am very impressed. I didn't think I liked it compared to the DFGT when I first got it but perseverance has paid through and I'm starting to love it more and more. The first thing I noticed and didn't really like in the beginning was just how smooth and precise the T300 was. Strange complaint I know but the DFGT just felt more visceral compared. Over time I've gotten used to it and I love how solid and composed it feels. The other thing I noticed in the wheel was the FFB. For example in GT6 with DFGT I was using FFB strength at 10 and Sensitivity at 6 or 7. With the T300 that's gone down to 4 and 1 respectively. I just didn't understand the extra little feedback responses before either but am slowly getting used to them. Will probably turn up the strength as I get more used to it, however it isn't necessary in the slightest.

Before I even got down to learning the wheel it was quite obvious I had to beef up my setup to cope, I'm using a chest of drawers minus the drawers because of space atm. It serves as a handy coffee table when not in race mode ;) I really had to strengthen this thing with the T300, I was tearing it apart lol!

One thing I hadn't done before which was necessary this time was hard mounting the pedals too. I screwed a sold base in the cabinet and hard mounted to that. What a difference!

If you're waiting on your T300 to be delivered or you haven't done already, hard mount your pedals! You won't believe the difference it makes.

now that we have had or wheel for a little while please share your wheel settings

right know im run at Sensitivity-2 FFB-7
might turn it back to -1 -6
still testing

whats your's ?

Price lowered even further for the T300GTE on Amazon.fr: now €258
Couldn't resist any longer and ordered. Will order the T3PA set when they become available then.

Guys this potentiometer issue with the pedals, is this just bad luck or is this "dead zone" issue a general problem across the board with the T300 set. Seems a terrible faff if this is straight out of the box.:irked:

Hi all!

I'm very much enjoying my T300rs 👍.
I'm using the wheel with my G27 pedals via the Ricmotech adapter.

I've settled on Torque 2 & Sensitivity 3 for my FFB settings (GT6).
Seems to give me plenty of info through the wheel and allows me to have good pace :dopey:.

What's that in USD? Seems much cheaper than here in NA.

I'd seriously consider getting the T300 for around $300. 4 just seems to be a bit outrageous for a wheel with lame pedals, no clutch or shifter.

Around 325 USD

I'm starting to feel this way; kind of regretting shelling out the $400 for something I've used once in a month while I wait for the add-ons.

I'm still expecting to have this wheel well through the PS4 era, but I probably should have just picked up a G27 if all I wanted was a clutch and shifter to play GT6.

Only time will tell if I made a good decision.

How much richer the effects are in comparison to the DFGT?

Thats odd, I would have thought that once its set and correct, its set and correct? Otherwise that would suggest that that the pedal is slipping on the potentiometers and would therefore surely need re-setting by opening the pedals up?
I blumming hope that after 3 hours of me messing about getting rid of the dead zones I aint ever going to have to open the pedals up again!

question fellas, is the only way to change the rotation angle of the wheel by doing this on pc?
or is it game dependent (within the games settings).

On that note, I would have thought it better if each game could register the travel of the pedals by asking you to press the throttle and brake fully once you enter the game, and therefore understand at what point the potentiometers start moving and when they finish. Or am I missing something.

Went into a store that had one of these un-boxed on shelf for display.
Really impressed with the construction of the rim over the 458 rim I got for my T500.

Tempted to get one, keep the rim, and sell the T300 it with my 458 rim.
Price comes down enough, I may just do that. Nice rim.

Yes unfortunately as the software you need has to be installed on pc from Thrustmaster webb site, But dont worry it is a very simple job to perform. Also you can alter how many degrees the wheel turns just by using a slider in the program, Ive set mine at 700 degrees

Guys, regarding the Wheel rotation angle - whick angle is best to set for stock cars like in DriveClub? I mean which which angle is more natural?

Thanks

not sure , but try it and see what you like. You can hit the pause button and change it on the fly . It comes down to what feels good to you

I am posting the update regarding the clicking sound in the Wheel base :) Its from Thrustmaster support.

"The behavior of your steering wheel is perfectly normal. The steering mechanism of the unit is composed of a lot of moving parts, springs, belts and cogwheels. Such an assembly will always produce a noise when put into motion.
Only in time this noise will slightly ware off as these components will break in.

"

So, @skazz was right :)

First time poster here as well as a noob in getting into all this new stuff. So a few questions for any poster that would be so kind to reply, why is this wheel 100 more then the xbox one? At least on amazon in USA. And do the wheels have a history of being able to be hacked so it can be used on both consoles? It will still be a bit as I don't want to buy off the first production do to all the problems and I'm not at all smart or brave enough to attempt a fix on my own. Thank you.

Which xbox wheel are you referring to, the TX?

No one has yet been able to (or even attempted? *shrug*) hack the wheel to work with both consoles. Either buy two wheels and swap them, or pick your poison and don't look back. Not everyone has had issues, I haven't. It's just easier to see who has had issues since this is a good place to discuss them.

You guys in the USA are getting which version of power supply?
220-240V
100-125V or
Dual voltage 110-240V

Assuming you mean degrees of rotation, Its really up to how you feel with it, Try a few different settings and see which you prefure.

I bought T300RS GTE yesterday, i played last night and today so now i can feel click when i turn the wheels...also can hear the click....is that problem or normal to get wear out to become less click?
Need to double check before going replacement from PC store or other way.

Eh, after turn on my PS4 and test if click noise for the crew....no click noise.
It's pretty odd I played this morning I feel click noise then turn off....come back after one hour...no click noise. Is that normal or happen to you all?

Got my replacement unit a few days ago, works like a charm. This being my first ever wheel im very impressed now that it works like it should. Needed a few days to get used to all the feedback but now i love it! Def. recommended (but make sure you can test it before buying to make out if it works properly ;) )
