Hahaaa Merry Christmas, I’m happy for you! I received my DD pro 2 weeks ago! I went from the csl elite to the DD Pro and I had to readjust the inclination, the height, the distance... basically I've been trying to find the right compromise for a 2 week! It's quite difficult when you want to use 2 different wheels...a real headache !

Tried Yamagiwa again. Thanks to the discussion here and that awesome new YouTube channel GT7 World Records I was able to get the chicanes, T1 and the final turn relatively well relatively quickly. At least for me. Laps 12 and 17 were my only valid laps.

The YouTube channel is awesome because they overlay throttle and brake inputs in the middle of the screen making it very comfortable to observe them while keeping your eyes on the road. Someone had recommended it here or in another thread.

Congrats @Dolph Drago with your highest placement ever, 51 of the world, insane
we were among the fastest controller users of the world   :D :D

I ended up 58, also my highest one :):)

I think the next one is fun too!, i did exactly one lap this morning but it felt like slidy fun!
that 4th gear all the way down the straight fries my brain tho.....

Happy huntng folks!

Got so fed up of messing up laps in the Alpine, almost threw the controller at the wall.

Should’ve been easy but just having a mental block with this one. Optimal was gold but couldn’t put the sectors together. Another silver.
Hey, I got almost the same time as you, mine was 1'23.353, I gave up too, the sweeper things just took too much of my energy trying to balance the car.

Not sure why but i haven't been gaming much recently. Ran some laps in the alpine each of the last three nights and managed a decent time, but feel like i could have gotten a notably better one. Not looking forward to the Bugatti tbh, but that shelby will be right up my alley.

Good luck to you all 👍

Hi......I'm going to ask the question here too.....how do you get the chosen ghost in front of you with the desired gap every time....

me, I set it to be 0.4 seconds in front of me, but after 3 or 4 tries, it starts at my height, so I don't see it and it's no use to me.....😡

it's supposed to help me with trajectories, braking points and giving me the right rhythm to get a better time than the one I've already got in my pocket.....

OK, as long as he's not overtaking me, I'm doing just as well and if I can look behind, I can see how far ahead I am, but I'd rather have him as a hare and chase after him...😂

Let me know if you're in the same situation and/or how you solved this problem if you had it....

Thanks in advance....

I've even opened a thread about it.....

You need to have the ghost reset at each sector. That will always put the ghost back in front of you.

And with that, you've officially knocked me out of the top 50. I was 50th when I ended my session last night and was really surprised I was still at the same spot when I went again today. Like last night, I just could not hit that lap and improve. That said, I had remained at 50th even after today's long stint, and there was still that ever so slight glimmer of hope. No more... :(

Heck of a lap you posted, though. How you can jump on to a TT so late and knock down that quick of a time is insane.
Damn, man. Now I feel kinda bad. :guilty:

However, one doesn't just magically end up around those positions from nothing though so I'm sure you can produce a top 50 sometime in the near future. I'll be rooting for you, man! I know the feeling, I was incredibly close to a top 10 last week at Willow Springs and just missed out, but still improved my PB considerably. Had mixed feelings right there and then but once you let it sink in a little bit the disappointment fades away. So, congratulations on a new PB. That was a strong time. ;)

Quite a good improvement yesterday moving the PB from 1.18.617 to 1.18.264 at Kyoto
My lines through the chicanes are now closer to what I see in the youtubes, but still the speed I have to stick with to keep the lap valid is, say..., non-optimal, particullary in the second chicane.

I wrote before that I need to use more track in the approach to couple of turns. What seems to be so natural in the videos is not that easy to be done in my reality. But I have to admin that the reason why I'm not searching for the last tack meter is mainly to stay in may confort zone to not overload my cpu. I'll try to put more attention in this detail in order to trasform it in second nature.

I have to enter top100 ! (of GTPlanet members, not of the world) 🤣

About this ranking, how do you calculate each user's score ? Does it take into account the fact that a user may have done only a part of the TTs ?
The calculation is just a simple average of those gtplanet leader board positions of drivers while they've been on the boards.

There are people who joined recently, but who I included in older TT leader boards, before they joined. This is because the first time I did these a few weeks ago, I was also doing the historical results from TT1 for that new thread, so just took the opportunity to recreate all the leader boards and include all c. 100 drivers from TT1. Those who have joined since then and who join from now on, their results will only be shown for the TT from when they join. So this week mattmouth is in that group - he is only shown for TT55 onward.

As ever with these stats, they are for entertainment, motivation and camaraderie rather than an entirely accurate historical record.
