I'm stuck at a 1:12.8 on monaco. I've been trying for hours to improve but I can't go farther than the hairpin without the lap going red. :banghead: :(

Some fast F1 guys prefer the pad. Maybe use it for this and practice the wheel later.

On a 1:10.369 for 25th at Cote d'azur so I'm getting faster. For anyone whose struggling through the low speed corners at the start of the second sector you need to press lightly on the brakes and release them smoothly while turning to slide around the corners and get the throttle early but gently to regain grip.

Come on all those miles driven you must have a little more. :) I watched IMMORTALPILOT's replay and I think he is using a close to stock setup judging by how little speed he can carry through some of the corners compared to 2nd.

Lol, all those miles. And out of all them miles I've driven, about 5 of those miles was in these cars, lol. Like I said, anyone that can drive these cars with any amount of quickness, truely have some mad skills and I envy you all. I may give another try, but I can't see me gaining any more than two seconds. These cars are just not my thing. Again, respect to all you guys running these cars, you are all highly skilled drivers.

8.34 Thank god it's over, now i can get on with the game...

Assuming you mean 9:34. 8:34 would put you in the top 10.

I got 9:08 on my first lap. I doubt I'll do any more on this one.

After putting in an hour and a half, the best I have right now on Monaco is 1:14:xxx, which put me at 601st the last time I checked. My car was a completely stock F2007.

I still feel I can improve my time in some places. I'll definitely try to get into the top 250 over the weekend.

EDIT: Put the wrong time. And I'm now 973rd... :ouch:

Great times you guys. I still have a hard time believing you all are human tho, lol. I think what we have here is an army of MR. ROBOTO's, lol. (Domo Aregoto Mr. Roboto) Referencing the Styx song, not sure if I got the spelling of that right tho. Anyways, you guys continue to amaze me. The replays are really something to watch. I really enjoy watching them.

Used the R390 Road car at Nurburg - again I thought it was going to be very tough, maybe I would nee da few laps. So settled on a slow smooth lap to get a feel for the car and the time needed... and blammo another easy gold.

Car did feel nice and skittish though, maybe that was a side-effect of not pushing hard into corners. Hate the fumble Esses at the end of the start straight.
---
the main problem with the R390 was that the stock tranny maxed out at 250-260km/h...that needs sorting out, but otherwise it seemed quite easy to drive, but I could only manage 9'01" around the 24H

Monaca TT sucks... worst track ever... i have a streering and the car won't turn at the hairpin... stupid that we can not change our 900 degree wheel into 200 for formula F1, and X2010-2011.. it would be a better driving experience... GT5 still got a lot of work to do..

nurburgrin TT is great i did 8,55 after 3 laps with R8

I just bought a used Logitech DFP wheel because it can be used in GT5 at 200 degrees, so I am looking fwd to trying it in this TT. Seems odd that the Logitech DFGT, the newer model doesn't allow for 200 degrees.

I've got into the 1:09s and on a couple of laps I was half a tenth up on Immortalpilot through the first sector for differrent reasons but I couldn't keep it together, he seems to make a huge amount of time on the corner before the tunnel. If you can see this Immortalpilot congratulations on your lap but I reckon you could do a low 1:08.

You don't need to turn all the way at the hairpin, it's one of the places where I turn least because I use a brake balance of 6:9 to sweep in and hug the inside whilst sliding the back end around to line myself up for the right hander.

Ford GT No Stripe was pretty nice for the Nurb 24h. Haven't yet matched my time (9:02) with the NSX. I did max weight reduction +50 or so kg, with 15 downforce.

A question for those of you who used the Audi R8 4.2 for the Nurb 24h TT: What is your fastest time with the "stock" version of the car. I haven't purchased any parts yet, and would just like to gauge where I am with laptimes in the stock configuration. Thanks.

Nice lap PS. I can't keep my speed up like IMMORTALPILOT on the first turn... loose time there. I'm at about 1:10.5xx. You mentioned earlier a largely stock setup. Did you change the LSD at all?

No because quite frankly I have no idea what adjustments need to to be made to it :) By the way I have increased the spring rate to full on the front and back specifically for the kerb after the tunnel, I haven't mastered that corner yet but I'm getting there. ;)

Yea, I'm not seeing it either on the LSD... thought I'd check. Thanks for the tip on the springs, will give it a try.

It would be awesome if someone shared the Honda NSX Tune they are using..

I'm having a tough time trying to tune this thing.

I did a 8:58 with the Audi, and I'm slower than that with the Honda.

I know I can improve a lot, with a better tuned car that is.

In the meantime, I will read and try to understand this tuning stuff.

Awesome laps the top racers are making 👍

Did you lower or increase the rebound and compression after doing that man?
Its pretty high spring rates for a bumpy track like that.. :embarrassed:

For the NSX if you want it to be easier to drive, note that its only a rought setup, you can do the following;

add about 50kg of ballast at -50 position (to the left to give more understeer)

Then lower the diff setting to:
load:8
Accel: 5
Decel:5
(you will lose some acceleration power out of corners but if will be more controlable and will be able to accelerate sooner)

downforce at max.

Do the gearbox trick:
reset the gears,
move final ratio all way to the right,
move top speed all way to left,
move first gear all the way to left,
move 2nd gear all the way to left,
adjust the lower point of the 4-5-6th gear to make a straight line with the 3rd gear(dont touch the 3rd gear..)

If you want more turn-in lower the rear ride height/raise front ride height, do the opposite for more understeer...

Its very basic and may not net you a super fast time, but it will be easier to drive for you this way. :)

I'm not doing any of these TT's on a serious level this time around and I'm also doing the 24 hour race at Sarth atm, but I'll try to fit in some time to tune the car for ya. Hopefully I have that car on one of my other accounts. I'll try to come up with something by tonight for you.

Like to thank all you folks for posting this up. Early evening yesterday I was trying to get this done in a couple of cars set up to 600pp. Couldn't get a clean lap to save my life and while some of the bad laps were close to at least gold, I have no illusions I will get anywhere near the top times, I couldn't get a clean lap. Checked the top time cars and went hunting that NSX Prototype in the UCD. After many refreshes and over 50 cars bought, the damn thing never did pop. The only thing I got after a few hours of that was over 1k+ cars now. Does the NSX show up in the garage under something other than Honda or Acura?

Anyway, saw this post late in the evening, or early morning, depending on your timezone, had the 4.2 in the garage for months, tried a few more times for the NSX and then decided to heck with it, got out the 4.2, went to slap that tune the OP has posted and GTPlanet was down. So, I stuck my own rough, and I mean rough, tune on it. First 2 laps were dirty but the second I was still under gold and just focused a bit more on the 3rd try and came away with gold.

Many thanks 👍:). I am not fond of Nurb' but had fun running the '10 Ferrari at Monaco. Other posters are right about that tight hairpin and the '10. Have to one hand the DFGT around about 270°-320° to get it to make the turn. Makes setting up for the next corner a bit tricky but it can be done. Only time I drive in cockpit view is in the open wheel cars. I seem to be able to judge the turns much better under these conditions.

Are you sure? I got a DFGT a while back, not set it up yet but understood you can change it to 200 degrees...pretty sure people here aren't all using 900.

On another note, anyone having fun with underdog cars at the 'ring? I golded with a relatively cautious lap in the McLaren MP4-12C, then managed it in the Cizeta V16T. Bone stock, no tuning...was tense but fun. :)

Oh and i'm sure many people could blitz those times (was 9'53.xxx both times) but I got a little sick of invalidating laps with one leetle error, I honestly don't have the time so I guess I was always relatively cautious.

The NSX-R is quite rare. I'm in the hole myself, 500 game days to go till it shows up again

Anyway I took a GT-R R35 Vspec and brought it up to 600pp by weight reduction and power upgrades, fitted some aero for looks and an adjustable sports suspension. The rest I left stock. Just some fiddling with the slightest camber and stiffer springs and a bit of ride height adjustment.

Good enough for a 8:53 with at least 5 seconds left. And quite a pleasant drive.

I have that nsx since 10 days, I was looking for it since decembre '11 . In that time I saw (and bought) 3 x 2j racer, 2 times 2d racer en gsx-r prototype and many other rare cars.
So, that nsx-r is a very rare car, I did about 200 or 250 racedays before I got him....

I did mine in a Dodge Viper ACR-X. (640hp @ 1447 kg with added aero) Cruising I do it in 9:52. I could push it more but I don't like to stress over these things. :)

Next race tires to see if I can get the real ring time for the ACR.

The site was offline yesterday, so I'm logging in just now.
