TT #36: 600pp Nürburgring 24h/Cote d'Azur. See post 1 for tunes.

Like to thank all you folks for posting this up. Early evening yesterday I was trying to get this done in a couple of cars set up to 600pp. Couldn't get a clean lap to save my life and while some of the bad laps were close to at least gold, I have no illusions I will get anywhere near the top times, I couldn't get a clean lap. Checked the top time cars and went hunting that NSX Prototype in the UCD. After many refreshes and over 50 cars bought, the damn thing never did pop. The only thing I got after a few hours of that was over 1k+ cars now. Does the NSX show up in the garage under something other than Honda or Acura?

Anyway, saw this post late in the evening, or early morning, depending on your timezone, had the 4.2 in the garage for months, tried a few more times for the NSX and then decided to heck with it, got out the 4.2, went to slap that tune the OP has posted and GTPlanet was down. So, I stuck my own rough, and I mean rough, tune on it. First 2 laps were dirty but the second I was still under gold and just focused a bit more on the 3rd try and came away with gold.

Many thanks 👍:). I am not fond of Nurb' but had fun running the '10 Ferrari at Monaco. Other posters are right about that tight hairpin and the '10. Have to one hand the DFGT around about 270°-320° to get it to make the turn. Makes setting up for the next corner a bit tricky but it can be done. Only time I drive in cockpit view is in the open wheel cars. I seem to be able to judge the turns much better under these conditions.

I could give you the NSX man, add me if you want. Cheers.

Might give Cote d'Azur a go around when Monaco GP weekend starts. I wonder if PD might withdraw it like the Evo TT.

The NSX-R is quite rare. I'm in the hole myself, 500 game days to go till it shows up again

Anyway I took a GT-R R35 Vspec and brought it up to 600pp by weight reduction and power upgrades, fitted some aero for looks and an adjustable sports suspension. The rest I left stock. Just some fiddling with the slightest camber and stiffer springs and a bit of ride height adjustment.

Good enough for a 8:53 with at least 5 seconds left. And quite a pleasant drive.

I have 3 NSX's, just not sure if I have one on my GTP account.

It would be awesome if someone shared the Honda NSX Tune they are using..

I'm having a tough time trying to tune this thing.

I did a 8:58 with the Audi, and I'm slower than that with the Honda.

I know I can improve a lot, with a better tuned car that is.

In the meantime, I will read and try to understand this tuning stuff.

Awesome laps the top racers are making 👍

Try the one on this page. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=6604995
Its from Praiano, a really good tuner. Don't know if it will help or not, but you can try it. Again, not mine, credit goes to Praiano. I don't think I'm going to have time to tune one today, so try that one. Sorry if double post, I'm in a hurry, lol. Peace.

On my phone, PSN names don't show in app. Will be happy to add you.

I'm good, got one through a level 17 :) I'm rather pleased with my GT-R time anyway and still got cramps from running the Stealth NSX in the last Nurburgring TT ;) Bonkers rides.

Thanks man, I tried that tune last week. But the car felt weird for some reason.

Thanks for your time.

On a 1:09.6xx and I'm not sure how much faster I can go, I'm just trying to maintain position at the moment.

Did you lower or increase the rebound and compression after doing that man?
Its pretty high spring rates for a bumpy track like that.. :embarrassed:

Well it looks like I really have no idea what I'm doing, I thought if the spring rate is very high that it would help absorb bumps. :D I could do with someone who knows what they are doing when it comes to suspension contributing to my setup.

You want soft springs (not too soft tho) to absorb the bumps. Hard springs will make the car "hop" over the bumps, making the tire lose contact with the road, thus causing loss of traction. I have found that the stock spring rates are usually pretty close so just make your adjustments from there. I adjust in increments of 5.

So making the dampers and spring rate settings lower in value makes the car absorb the bumps better?

FR accepted. What would you like in trade?

That was quick! Thanks. 👍

Sure, no problem hehe.

It's cool man, I'm not asking for anything :)

Happy driving.

Ok. If you want anything and I have it, it's yours. Thanks again! :)

Are you sure? I got a DFGT a while back, not set it up yet but understood you can change it to 200 degrees...pretty sure people here aren't all using 900.

On another note, anyone having fun with underdog cars at the 'ring? I golded with a relatively cautious lap in the McLaren MP4-12C, then managed it in the Cizeta V16T. Bone stock, no tuning...was tense but fun. :)

Oh and i'm sure many people could blitz those times (was 9'53.xxx both times) but I got a little sick of invalidating laps with one leetle error, I honestly don't have the time so I guess I was always relatively cautious.

I just tried the DFP last nite and am really excited about the 200 degree feature it has. I see a few drivers on the TT leaderboards using 200 degrees as well, so it sounds like it works for some, hopefully me too. As far as the DFGT, again, I am pretty sure it can't be adjusted to 200 degrees, but then again, I can't locate a manual for it online. (Even the Logitech website doesn't have a manual for it.

Finally got the nurg done. Sport hard, ds3 and lack of talent makes for a very slow, very carefull gold lap. Not very enjoyable in my humble opinion, but the lambo did the trick.
I love the F-2007 at Monaco, not very fast at 1:18'xxx but will keep on lapping until the F-1 race next weekend.

So making the dampers and spring rate settings lower in value makes the car absorb the bumps better?

Yes, the higher the spring rate values, the harder the springs. The lower the value, the softer the springs. Like I said tho, I wouldn't deviate to awefully far from the stock spring rate. Unless, of course, you are using a radical set up such as an extreme nose up, tail down setting on the ride height. Sorry my response took so long, had to deal with some daughter issues.

I'm wondering why they disqualify your run if you hit the wall with the F1? Is there a wall glitch like the grass glitch? Where I'm from the wall tends to slow you down, I mean, every time I have a good run going, I start freaking out close to the end, and clip the wall, and it reds my time, please stop that, it's very annoying, thank you!

Sometimes, if you hit the wall just right, it will be an advantage. Thats the reason for the DQ. We had some of that going on in another TT where it was actually advantageous for you to bounce off the wall. Annoying I know, but I would rather have it this way as opposed to having people bounce off the wall to gain an advantage.

Thanks to CleanUP-CharliE, I took that NSX out for a spin at Nurb. I first applied praiano63's tune. First lap I took it easy, for me anyway, and bettered my time by a few more than the Audi 4.2. I must admit with the tranny and suspension settings, that thing handles SH tires very well as long as you don't ask more under braking than those tires can give. Ran several more after adjusting the final so wasn't hitting the rev limit on the long straight (might have run it up to tall) and after several dirty try restarts bettered my time by a few more. I reckon I just don't have the stones to run that track as hard as it should be. This car + tune makes an excellent 600pp car I will likely use more in the future.

Hope you don't mind Charlie but I slapped a coat of blue paint on it. :nervous:

Thanks to everyone involved. It will be on share shortly.

Well, dang brother, I'm doing it wrong:dopey:

Hehe You're welcome!

I managed to cut my time drastically by using the Nissan GTR '09, I'll send you that car tomorrow so you can try it out and compare the 2. It handles great :)

I'm sure it looks cool in Blue 👍

Cheers I'll try 15:15.

I probably have that car already, so hold up on sending it. I saw your time posted with it. If you wanted to post your tune for it that would be great. I don't know if it will matter much since I really don't like the track and my talent isn't high enough to overcome that dislike.

Thanks for posting the set-up Howeller :)
Will give this a go later.
You've been having a good battle with our member GTP_EBK2 :)

Did you use any ballast, and if so,in what position?

Did an 8:51.xxx in an Audi R8 4.2 tuned to 600 PP with no suspension, LSD, Ballast, etc setup. That was good enough for 421st but I'm sure it's dropped now. With a nice tune I should have no problem breaking the top 250.

Hi i'm new. I need some help setting up my Nissan GT-R -09. Any suggestion how to set the suspension and lsd? I have no clue how that works.

Is it possible to lend the NSX-R Prototype LM Road Car?
I'm desperate to find that car but my dealerships never cycle through new cars.

Send me a friend request. When I get home from work I'll accept and you can either borrow mine or I can send it to you.

I cycled through the UCD about 20 times this past weekend and it never did pop for me. Did buy 50+ cars however.
