good luck, cu on track :-)

Please don't take offense, I'm sure it's my lack of skill but I really didn't care for this setup. I assume the ride height was +8 and +9? It felt way bouncy / loose and I had to be super sensitive on exit with getting back to the gas or it would hook dead left / right

I needed to back way off on the diff (i need to work on being smoother on the accelerator) then stiffened the springs by +2 and changed from positive number ride height to negative.

I was using parainos tune as a base and think for the ring it was too firm. I think the mid rpm turbo was an improvement and worked well with your gears. BTW What was the final drive setting?

It would be we nice to hear others opinions on this setup and maybe tell me what I'm doing wrong behind the wheel, or could do better.

I think this guy is teasing you man lol

i-howeller is the guy that's in 1st place, not plain "howeller".

DOH! I always like to try everybody's tunes on for size. I've seen enough people publish tunes that weren't that good so I never considered that it was a gag.

Well, I did manage to shave off 10 seconds using the GTR '09 and your tune Charlie, but, it went dirty into Döttinger. My fault really since I just don't have the skill most of the rest of you have. Especially on this track. I think the suspension needs to be softened with these tires. Felt unstable compared to the NSX tune I used. I was also unable to get the exact tune. Guess I shouldn't have changed the oil. Had to run the ballast up all the way and back off the power limiter to get it to 600pp. I don't know how tuners manage to play with the tranny to get some of the settings they use without hours of frustration. I had to diddle with that for several minutes before I could get all the gear ratios set to where you had them.

Many thanks for the help in any case. 👍 :) Since I'm not shooting for any leaderboards and have already golded this event I'll just leave well enough alone and move on to practicing for the FMTC series event this coming weekend. This old fart will need all the practice he can get just to stay out of everyone's way and still not get lapped.

I'm desperate to find that car but my dealerships never cycle through new cars.

Swe, you might check I'm desperate to find that car but my dealerships never cycle through new cars.[/QUOTE]"]here for a method to refresh your UCD. Takes about 5 minutes to get an entire fresh page of cars.

I've raced those guys a lot. They are lots of fun to race with even though I get last almost every single race :)

yes, but i would say i would have been way more last than you doodle!
I can only manage 9.10 sec in the r390

Aaaargggghhhh, the server has been down for maintenance for over 3 hours now. My wife only goes to yoga once a week so this was going to be my chance to try out my new NSX-R now that the Bobs have put a few miles on it for me. Very bad timing on PSN's part

I browsed through top 250 and found nothing but 4WD/MR cars. I know sports hard tyres are a challenge, but not a single FR car? "Challenge accepted" was my first thoughts, but soon I learned there's no way for me to get into top 250. I used Lexus LFA which hits only 589pp but is still one of the fastest cars in 600pp class in my opinion. So here's my question:

can anybody get into top 250 by using FR car?

to do a fast lap, u have to do only one thing, practice !

my first lap was a 8:40 something when i startet the timetrail with the nsx, so i find around 13sec in 3-4 days! and this can everyone do

the way:

1st i saved the ghoast of the driver in 1st position.
then i drive some laps in row (4,5) to feeled in with the very hard to drive nsx prototype.
then i try go the same speed as the ghoast, and the same line!! ( same breakpoints, ...)
i make often mistakes and begin allways from new, after much new starts i knowed the first part oft the track like the 1st ghoast driver, sometimes i was infront on the gp track, but lose the leadposition again on the nordschleife.

after 3,4 hours i have enough for this day and my time was down on a 8,34 something.

the 2nd day is allways much easier and u go after 2,3 try much faster as the day befor, thats cause practice is very important!

the 3,4 day is only to concentrate and the besttimes will come from alone

if u have time to spend 3,4 hours a day to this timetrail ur times will go very fast down!

the setup i post, is the setup of my besttime, but im not a setup genius

I thought I was gonna make the top 10 on Monaco. At the end of the second sector I looked up and saw I was only 0.21 down, I managed to get through the quick right left at the start of sector 3 and was within a couple of car lengths of Immortalpilot coming into the tight right hander. Unfortunately the wheels spun up and I went off the racing line but I managed to to just make it through the final corner for a 1:09.460 which was just enough to move me up a few places. :)

Send me a friend request. When I get home from work I'll accept and you can either borrow mine or I can send it to you.

I cycled through the UCD about 20 times this past weekend and it never did pop for me. Did buy 50+ cars however.

I just checked....... and the Honda NSX-R Prototype LM Road Car shows up in the UCD on days 746, 1808, 2053, 2374, 3192, 3193, 3261 and 3334. There's a bunch of threads here on GTP that instruct you how to determine what "day" your GT5 Game is currently on....... in order to anticipate it showing up in your UCD. Cheers!

Congrats Peasantslayer. Great to see you move up the boards. Well done.

Peasantslayer can you post your setup for
the f1 2007 ?

Geared to do 176 mph (I haven't moved gears individually)
Downforce full
Power reduced to meet PP
Spring Rate 15.5 : 15.5
Damper Extension 7 : 7
Damper Compression 7 : 7
Anti Roll Bars 6 : 6
Brake Balance 6 : 9

Everything else is set to the default setting. Judging by my sector times this setup could beat Immortalpilot's time but it would probably need to be in the hands of Immortalpilot. :)

Cheers, I think getting in the top 10 and staying there will be very difficult so I'm just going to try and maintain a place in the top 20. If you need any tickets/paints/cars/gear just ask. 👍

While my times are horrible by many of your standards, for me, they are an accomplishment [as I have many issues which I would not care to discuss in this forum--so I'll leave it at that and I trust you will respect my wishes]. I finally finished a lap on each and here are the cars and times:

600pp Nürburgring 24h:
Car: Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 ‘08, yellow
Time:10.46.XXX

870pp Cote d'Azur
Car: Formula Gran Turismo, orange
Time: 1.36.XXX

NOTE: I will edit the tenths and thousands(as well as add my tunes for constructive criticism purposes) when I have time to check and recheck.

I'm pretty much set with everything. Thanks for the offer tho.

Nice driving man, it makes sense 👍

Saw your status on the leaderboard this morning - great lap! Thanks for sharing your tune. Seems weird not to have to adjust the LSD and toe in/out etc, but your results speaks for itself. I've been happy with my tune and results, but I think I'll try this setup as I may be at the limit of my tune. Thanks again, congrats, and keep going!!

puh, after 3 hours and smth, i finally got a clean lap on nurb. rank 126th at the moment with 8:43.557. big thanks to the "numb nuts" for the R8 setting ;)

I'm lucky if i can spend 10 minutes on TTs. Rather be racing anyway.

You posted a 1:11 in ten minutes???:scared: It took me three days to post a 1:15:crazy:

If somebody could post a fast gear set up for the 2007F1 I would apreciate it, I've tried the ones on here, but I'm thinking somebody has a faster one, thanks!

I'm trying to find a good half hour to go back to it and get a low 1:11, and didn't I give you the F2007 set up already?

Do you happen to have a link to these posts? I did a bit of googling but nothing promising showed up.

Nevermind. Looks like Famine posted up here

According to your numbers and my current day count, I am less than 200 days away from that car popping in the UCD.

My tune is perfect for me, but my speed seems like it can be better, I have the tranny set up at the slowest it will go, 186 or something, but my gearing I left alone, I'm thinking it can be tweaked, but I'm not sure how, and you may have givin it to me, I don't remember:dunce:

Hi to all. I joined the forum today because its the best! Now to my question. I am currently 303 at the Code d' azur with little effort(1 hour), but i feel that the setup is not good. I tried a setup posted in here but i can't get the optimum of the car for some reason. I am not good with setups so i wonder if someone can post a detailed setup for the F1 2007. It will be very much appreciated.

P.S congrats to all making it in to the top of the leaderboard !
