Scraped just under 7k on the Nurb drift trial...cannot be bothered at all to try for more, not really got time, but hey, not bad for an HKS CT230R and 4 hours sleep
Also, 🤬 🤬 🤬 PD, are you retarded? A drift event for everyone? Nah, just a drift event for all the pro kids in their Speed 12s with the $600 wheel their 🤬 parents bought them...I cannot be more p*ssed off at a game right now...HIGJ SPEED RING? Are they all high?

I've never reached 7000 on any drift event:ouch:
So won't even try this one:sly:

Hahaha. I golded Nurburg DT in a Samba Bus. Bronze on the second try, gold on the fourth.

In fact, both Nurburg G/P trials were ridiculously easy. Got 2:08 first try, in a completely un-touched car. Bought it from the dealership, ran it in the trial. Not even an oil change.

I do have a gripe, because I don't drive karts very often...

Why don't they oversteer when you let off the throttle anymore? Real ones do.

Funny you should say that - I always use a DS3 for drifting and I've heard that isn't all that uncommon.

I never care wich i am on the leaderboards, all i care is to get gold in the SE and get the gears and some cash, i always i mean really always do my drifts with fully tuned M3 (Premium) its more fun and a bit challenging. But fun.

Down to a 32.877 on KS1 now, keep getting 0.1s faster in the first sector then losing it the rest of the lap. Garggh..

Where can I find a tune for the Nissan GT-R N24?
I can't see to get front grip at mid speeds.

Get over to RKM! The link is in my signature, and the tune is on the first post :embarrassed:

Time Trial
Racing Kart 100 Kart Space I Time Trial

Took me a few laps to get used to a Kart again. Had been a while since I had drove one. I was able to Gold after a few tries. I would like to spend more time on this to get my time down though.

Time Trial
Nissan GT-R N24 Nürburgring GP/F Time Trial

Used a Bone stock (untuned) Nissan GT-R N24. I must say I REALLY like this car. It has a great feel to it. I know just about when it is about to get to the limit. I really enjoyed the trial and actually got a pretty good overall time.

Drift Trial
High Speed Ring / Reverse Drift Trial

This one through my brain for a loop. Took a few minutes to figure out how to do a long, high speed drift. After a few tries I was able to get my favorite drift car, the Shelby GT350R '65 to do some amazing long drifts and scored very well. It was fun.

Drift Trial
Nürburgring GP/F Drift Trial

Again using my beloved Shelby GT350R '65, I was able to record a high score without too much trouble at all.

All and all. Really cool Seaonal Events. 👍

..

This is the first time I will not be able to do one of the events because I do not have any downloadable content. So I don't think I'll do the Time Trial around Kart Space. I rarely go crazy over downloadable content. While I may not do the Kart Space event, I will do the other Time Trial event. Sadly... it's at Nürburgring GP/F. I am NOT good at any of the Nürburgring courses; especially not any course using the Nordschleife.

I may take my chances with the latest Drift Trials as well.

First page bro:

can we play the first trial if we don't have dlc

Yes you can. The old kart was renamed and is one of the two eligible.

you should give it a try i'm pretty lame with drifting but ended up with 11k after watching a reply of the guy in no.10 slot to get pointers on what speed each corner was taken in only ran for 10mins and scored 5.4k on the 1st corner :) these guy's are topping 10k+ on the 1st though..

OK thanks,

I'll give it a go this weekend.
first get back to 200% :sly:

was on 170% yesterday and can't ply today becouse PSN is down :ouch:
So maybe sunday back at 200%

I'm liking the Nurburgring TT quite a bit, just a tick over 2:06.xxx right now in about 15 laps. Was up in the mid-300s, I think I've been bumped down the charts to around 1000th due to inactivity. But with a bit more tweaking I reckon I could stand to cut a couple seconds (atleast) off those times 👍

Haven't had a go in the Karts yet, nor the drifts. These will be tried out tomorrow, when I finally get a day off.

Okay. Nice of a fellow Texan to offer that bit of advice. So if I do run that Time Trial, it will be my debut to Kart Space. I guess I will try that course out. It also means I'll have to learn to adapt to a new course.

For a guy who admits being a so-so drifter, even I managed a 10K point run in a Drift Trial. This, despite the fact it wasn't pretty or consistent. It is very possible to get a seriously good drifting score as long as you keep attacking those corners with controlled frenzy. So DON'T GIVE UP!

I've been doing the Kart Space TT, I am at 33.7xx & trying to get into the 32.xxx's.

Have any of you adjusted the trans./weight dist. setting's for the kart?

If so, what would you recommend?

same i got down to a 33.5 and was about to ask the same thing. are you guys adjusting transmission? 1st and final gear too? if so post your settings please :)

So, the top 2 at the ring are using controllers! There's a turn up!

Also noticed there seems to be a lot of extra ride height at the front, what's that all about?

PS - that RKM tune's not a lot of good, since it's based on having all the engine mods, whereas there's a 503 bhp limit on the TT. Okay, so it might be adaptable, but in such a different state of tune, who knows?

Just use the tune without the mods...I tested it on a stock N24 and if anything it was even more stable :D

Since you haven't driven KS before, my suggestion is to remember that controlled frenzy in the first corner. It really helps your rhythm to get a hot line through 1, and have momentum for the drive uphill over the bump to the 180 degree 2nd corner. Stuck at 33.8 right now myself, hoping to get in the 32's with some work.

I ran a 32.526 on the Kart Space Time Trial which puts me in 2nd. BUT, if you watch the first place guy's replay, he has a horrible racing line and he has 'super grip' 👎

Okay! I just made my debut around Kart Space. The first thing I want to note- this is a lovely facility. Something like this is almos what I'd expect in a cartoonish racing game. But of course, we're talking Gran Turismo. This course is fairly simple to learn. Though a karting track, pulling a good drift session around this course is not impossible. The thing that pissed me off early was that I was viciously attacking the corners... to where my times would be disqualified. I got mad because I could only attack the corners in such a way that I could avoid my times being disqualified.

PD needs to re-map this course better to where times don't go foul just because you hop onto the curbing or something like that. It wasn't like my kart completely left the course in my runs. I attacked the corners as aggressively as I normally would. However, I have to adjust my driving so that I could actually register clean times. If I wanted a poor excuse of actually gauging whether or not to accept lap times, I'd go back to playing "ToCA Race Driver 3" or "Enthusia Professional Racing," where one wheel off-course is grounds for disqualification.

Complaints aside, I managed a best time of 36.521 (Gold is 38.500). It was good for being 6,891st. Top time so far is 32.481.

[UPDATE] I completed my run around Kart Space and decided to take some pictures. Unfortunately, I have had to do my run over again because the m:censored:f:censored:ing system crashed on me when I tried to take some more pictures. So I had to re-do my run just to get the money and the extra rewards. I didn't improve my time in my second completed run.

Yup, noticed that too.. Anyone got a clue? Got it down to a 2.03,7 now with an almost stock set-up.

I found that stock is good for a 2.01.XXX, I jacked the front end up and tweaked some setting to get a 40 something.
I think the transmission is the key.

Gave it 90 mins, currently 40th w/24,334 on High Speed Ring and 124th w/13535 on Nurb'. And do you know what? Not a Speed 12 in sight... Did both trials in the V8 Vantage and I must thank DragonThing for prompting me to do so, I'd forgotten how much easier it is to drift the V8 in comparison to the S12 for near enough the same result. My advice for the HSR is to really gun it into sections 1 and 3, and controlled aggression through section 2. Focus on keeping the corner of the front bumper over the kerbs and as soon as you can see the exit of the corner, shift up to 6th gear and give it some beans :) .
