Did a 1:36 with the GSX-R (517th at the time), could probably shave 1,5-2sec easily. I keep missing the braking zone for the first chicane and getting a red lap. It's annoying because the car is really nice to drive. I might give it another go tomorrow and see if I could get it down to 1:34 :)

I'm so proud of myself right now! :D I just managed a 1:33:997, 460th :D

Thanks for the help on the drift events everyone. I used a Shelby Cobra for the Deep Forest and the RM '05 Impreza for the Chamonix level and golded both of them without a lot of effort.

for the deep florest drift i used this :

I totally suck on the Deep Forest drift trial. On my best runs I always manage to spin out after leaving the drift section and then I cant get back going for the next section. The best I have done is 4800 or so. I'll have to try the Cobra and see what happens. The snow one was more then easy.

I'm one of the freaks that likes driving the Red Bull so I'm gonna have a lot of fun with that. Think I'm down to a sub 1.00, but can't remember..

You are not alone. Quite a ride isnt it? A bit tough since I play with the d-pad but still exhilarating

Surelly you has done "weight reduction" in the past.
I has used the Clio Sport (available in OCD) and was easy to beat the gold time.

The X2010 times are too easy, my old and tired X2010 (57.000km) has been enough to do 1:13 at my first attempt, :dunce: and I'm not good driving X2010...

From Paternal, and coming from an English teacher, your grammar is not bad at all. Just "I have used" not "has" my friend.
Great to see other argentos in Gtplanet.
By the way, do you know Bocha? His lap times are among the best, and I think he is from gesel...

Missed "you have done" for "has done" in the first line. Present Perfect isn't easy...

Finally took few minutes to gold the X2010 TT...now let's waiting for Mario Kart on SNES to come from eBay...

If you're referring to that motorbike with four wheels, I'm still B-specing to increase the torque, maybe if you have a car or a level ticket I'm interested in, we could make a trade. :D
I've this "motorbike" just setted for last TT and I can send it to you:tup: Let me know...

looking for tuning tips for madrid...not being much of a tuner i get my tunes from the various garages available here and have easily got gold with them but am looking to shave more off, want to see where i can get without the gsx question is as most if not all the tunes i use are for s.s or r.s where do i start making changes to suit c.s...

current times;
madrid;138.7 garaiya 02
monza; 109 after 5 laps it's mad
chamonix; 6800 stratos rally 77
deep forest; 7800 t350c 03

i use controller directional on auto abs1 rest off

i did a 1.32.760 after a few beers last nite on the madrid tt with the "4 wheeled motorbike".
Whats the deal with the drift events-do you drift and take your time or do you have to do each section as quickly as possible?
I can never seem to get much better than silver/bronze.

Take your time, get your nose over the rumble and your angle as close to 90 deg as you can sustain. I've found setting your gears as low as they'll go helps, as does slightly grippier tyres on the front and plenty of camber at the back.

Or just get a Speed 12!

I don't like these driftings much because iI think they are for trolling riceboys only.

But since it's easy money I choose always some nice old muscle car and get them done with 2nd gear and helluva torque.

I should take other aspect on Chamonix one since, those car are eh...bad at there.

PS. I have issue with Red Bull 2010x with wheel. on straight and speed above 350kph it becomes very nervous and tailhappy. At Indianapolis oval I have to plug force off from wheel so it's atleas a little drivable. Monza was trickier. I didn't had this issue with Vettel Challenge and have golded it for Monza. Have youguys some good tips for suspension, camper and toe in values?

had a go with the elise got 135.4
still could do with some tips on re-tuning for c.s tyres

I used the same tune for the Elise than the one for Tsukuba with the ExpertChallenge and i worked fine.

For the first time ever, I won Gold in a Drift Trial! I went over to my Race-Modified Nissan Silvia Spec R Aero around Chamonix Mini. It surprisingly took me only a few runs to finally get Gold. My first completed run got me a Silver. I then eventually snagged Gold. It wasn't by much, though. I racked up 5016 points, not even scoring anything on that sharp hairpin. I was vastly surprised how the Silvia held its own off-road. Normally, I get scared racing rear-wheel drive cars off road. Not as much control as you would get in a 4WD (or even an FWD) car off road. Still, it's a Silvia... and Nissan Silvias rarely disappoint going sideways.

If I can Gold the Deep Forest trial with this car, I'll be one happy Texan...

Just a thought : But wouldn't it be nice if people who post fast times on (a) TT('s) with a certain car. Also gave (or provide a link too) the settings and up(or down)grades of that car wich they used to set the fast time with. I see (and sometimes just ignore) a lot of "I did TT20 in 10 seconds" posts and think: yea.., nice good for you, but if you could be so nice to tell why and HOW you did that i (and i guess with me a lot others) would be helped a bit more.
I want to point out that i know there's a tuning section where a lot of settings/up(or down)grades can be found. And i'm not here to criticise people or their posts, nor is my thought in any way mandatory (just to be clear) but like i said, i would be grateful to know which cars are used with what tunes and/or settings, instead of just the times people 'did' a Time Trail in.
Greetings stano666 :)

I can surely understand wanting to know which car was used, but considering how tight the top of the Leaderboards usually are, not all are inclined to post their tuning setup. Many do and they will still be in the top 10, but considering how close the top 10 is, I wouldn't blame someone for not posting their exact tunes until after the TT closes.

Just a thought, as no tune in the world is going to get me into the Top 1,000, let alone the Top 10.

I have hell with the X2010. I don't enjoy driving it, so I don't put in the time to get really good with it. I handicapped it as much as I could - power cut to 50%, downforce as high as it would go, suspension as soft as I could get it, camber and toe set to "0" all around, final drive set at around 2.50, and just took my time at it. After a couple nil runs (smacked a wall or cut a chicane because I turned in too early) I pulled out a 1:10 and called it good enough.

The X2010 is the one car I just can't put in a good lap with at its stock settings. Too hairy for me!

I don't have any settings for you as I used the stock setting on the suspension for the time trial. I found after about the 100th or so try, the nervousness subsides quite a bit and becomes quite manageable.

Probably a stupid question here... but how many laps do you have to run on the X2010 TT for your time to be finalized? I sat down to drive it, and was about 10 laps through with every one much quicker than the gold time average....

Edit- NVM, seem to have found the answer to my own question:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=233871

*guess I need to run it a bit cleaner! ;0)

I used the FT-86 for the Madrid TT, no mods, was fun eventually when I got a feel for it (don't find that track flows too well and less so in reverse)

Anyone using the DS3 for the X2010 TT, I recommend turning down the steering sensitivity to 3, did that for the first time and it was pretty easy then. Ran with steering assistance and ASM on the first attempt (and TCS at 5) but then ran again, kept TC on but everything else off (except ABS at 1) and was faster right away =)

I first tried Madrid in the Ford RS200. I thought AWD would help with those tires, but I couldn't get below a 1'44.6. I tried it with the 111R and got the gold on my first clean lap (3rd total). Is the RS200 not that good, or do I not know how to drive it?

ConRollins
Perhaps you would prefer a Kubelwagen Typ82 at the Nurb? Talk about sight seeing!

Why not? Might teach a few people about racing lines. Might try it out.

Then again I find the Red Bull more luck than judgement.

Good call. Can all you race gods please be kind enough to post their setups and tunes. It will help mere mortals like me. Thanks.
