I love the track, but don't really know, what to say about the car. One quality though is, it behaves so strangely I wasn't tempted to drive fast. Cruising without loosing.

This is my first 10 clean laps in a row in GT3. Celebrating with an early submission. I finished 3'rd and lapping in the 1'50-2'00 range.

My advice, get the field WITHOUT the 787b, just the R390 and the GT-One.
That 787b driver has a DUI coming his way for sure The other cars are easy enough to pass, then it's just a matter of catching the R390 after your pit stop And draft anytime you have the opportunity, of course.

Everytime I would catch up to that bonehead in the 787b, I would have to hold up long enough to figure out how to pass him without contact. He is all over the place. Then when you do take an opportunity, he comes back over an smacks you anyway. At one point last night, I passed him, glanced up and could see him in my rearview fully and he still was somehow able to smack me in my left side

I far as I understood the rules, as long as you're not taking advantage of the AI for cornering assistance, a bit of contact is OK. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, because I rubbed the R390 a bit when I passed him...

The "AI" certainly don't mind "Smacking" us whenever they get the chance (Although I think they're "Fairly" well behaved in this Race), so "Swapping Paint" with them is Certainly OK!...UB57

At the point which I always seem to catch the 787b (as well as the others), it is right at a juncture, where, no matter what I do, I would have been forced to call it cornering assistance. On the other hand, corners or in cornering is the only place I seem to be able to pass. So, I have to hold up, early or late brake them to get the pass going into the corner or exiting the corner. At that point, I figure I have established my line with obvious intent. If I get a little rub on the way by, so what?

I think actually using them as an anchor, bump them and your line is redirected giving you the advantage, using them as a brake or to bump them off their line from the rear so you have a clearer shot or to give you a little distance while they correct etc is the interpretation for unacceptable I am following.

I think I know what you are talking about when as you slide by them tight to the inside or swing around them and AI rubs your rear cause they are on a stupid line or just programmed to hit you no matter what if you pass. I also can't help it if all of a sudden they brake in the weirdest location unexpectedly and you can't avoid bumping them. I usually let most of those slide and roll on to second place anyway

Well I'm a bit disapointed with my position, But considering I've only run one race there should be a heap of time for improvement. I still need to perfect the settings it's a little bit to understeery at the moment and without being able to change suspension or lsd it's harder to tune it out.

We oughta fire him if he ever shows! Seriously, I wanted to allow a little more tuning this round but the only way I could find a good race with this ride was to limit "Traction" thru harder tyres & limited tweeking. If EVERYONE entered had a Shark-X/Port it would be No Problem as I'd just keep adjusting HP until I found a really good race. But then again, don't we get tired of driving "Optimally Tuned" Rides all the time??? ...UB57

In addition, since I'm of opinionage on a regular basis, I'm happy to have what tuning we do have. I cannot, I repeat, cannot imagine if this were a completely non-tunable arcade race. Sheesh!!! The thought of that sends shivers up me timbers (Is this rig even in the Arcade choices? Hmmm?)

I will add however, having driven this race now 9 times, I would like to formally apologize for any whining I did about the car we raced in the 5 lapper. Can I have that car back?

Truth be told, I'm actually liking what I'm learning from driving this car.

EDIT: Speaking of running races... Let's be for getting you up on that leaderboard UB! I know you been havin' some phun too!

By the way, here is an interesting thing: First seven races put 70K monopoly money in the coffers. Only had to run two more to get the same amount

OK, I've now run this 3 times and I've got 17 seconds on my first time. My best is 3rd (every race has had the 787B in the field). Hopefully I should get my self out of last with this new time. Can I just ask what people best laps are so I can get a jist of how I'm going.

@phattboy - I'll try your setting later tonight, they certanly look interesting. I'm happy with mine but if yours help me any I'll use them:tup:

@UB57 - The harder tires are actually a disadvantage, I lose 3 seconds on the first lap compared to my first lap with softer tires. The softs are 2 seconds slower on the last and pit-in laps but my lap times are more consistant so I think the softer compound generally wins.

Yep, the "Hard Tyres" should definitely slow you down a bit. Slower to warm & just that extra slipperyness thru the corners.

I "Had" a save (until I re-checked it & discovered 3 tyres off the tarmac for just an instant ) where all laps except 1, 5 & 6 were in the 1'47s save for Lap #7 @ 1'46.6xx.

LEADERBOARD Updated: Quite a little "Jostling for Position" going on!!! With two of you seperated by only .045 SECONDS!!! Now "That's Racing!!!" 👍

It appears the old guy ^^^ is a little bit faster than me but right now I'm running 1'47-1'48 on the "tweener" laps... Fastest in race so far has been just a little slower than UB's at a 1'46.9xxx... Pitting in lap is 1'52-1'53 and lap 6 is running somewhere 2'06-2'07 depending on how stupid I am thinking I can run them brand spankin' fresh tires just like the scrubbed up ones. I know there is more time out there, I just seem to be fighting with a schizoid twiddler My replays are looking like what UB used to describe as "a drunken sailor late back from shore leave."

Squeezed in some racing time and made my 3'rd clean race. Got my first second place, wrote down the race facts and forgot to save.

Never mind, I can do better. I only improved 2.5, cause I'm such a chicken. When I'm getting to lap 7 I go pure rubber. Heart starts pounding, thumb turns spaghetti, brain boils and I start doing all kind of stupid things, like downshifting when I'm supposed to upshift, breaking late to catch up, going on the inside when I should go wide etc.

Damn, this is fun.

I hear ya Niels Just when you get a good one going and then realize, "Hey, I got a good one going!" Then you get all nervous and basically either blow it or you blow it or you end up trying to be so careful that you blow it!

Ran another race with the Mazdarati sitting on the pole at the start. Lost by 1.164 with a faster time than my last submittal and faster than the two squeaker wins of the other night against the R390 Weird part was I lost to the Mazda... I beat the other two... well... four really but two of em don't really count now do they?

Got squeezed into the wall on the tight right before t1 by the R390 which straightened me out so much in that caused me to hit the other wall and a couple of other paint scrubs, but other than that, clean race. Hope I'm interpreting the rules right.
