Uncharted 1 and 2 Coming to PSN This Week!!

For those who jumped on the Uncharted bandwagon a bit late, wisecracking adventurer Nathan Drake’s earliest PlayStation 3 romps will soon be available for download as part of this week’s upcoming PlaySation Network update. Both Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and Uncharted: Among Thieves will be available for purchase on PSN this Tuesday, June 26.

PlayStation 3’s flagship series had humble beginnings. Unchartedfirst appeared on the scene back in 2007, receiving critical success but little fanfare. But word-of-mouth worked wonders for Naughty Dog’s little shooter that could, eventually making Drake’s Fortune the go-to title for showing off what the PS3 was all about.

By the time Among Thieves was ready for the limelight, the developers had managed to build up quite a bit of steam thanks to the steadily growing fan base and an E3 showing featuring a now legendary firefight breaking out in a crumbling building. The press was floored and, by the time reviews started to roll in, it was clear that Drake had found himself a home alongside the greatest icons in the industry.

Now all of those breathtaking moments can be added to you digital collection as players are being given a chance to revisit the hunt for El Dorado and Shambhala in this week’s PSN update. No price point has been officially announced, though these types of digital releases usually go for $19.99 to $29.99.

Also they mentioned an unannounced game as well.

What I know so far is that the team is split into 2, the first team is working on The Last of Us and the other Team, who made Uncharted 3, is working on future Uncharted 3 DLC/updates.

So the Uncharted Team could be working on a top-secret new IP for the PS3 or for the next gen console, aka PS4? Or could they be working on the next Uncharted 3 sequel, Uncharted 4.......?

Patch 1.13 is massive and it's coming this August. This is the first of a few blog updates about the patch content.

I guess you can still earn them during matches...
A bit dissapointing that such extras can easily be bought now...
I always had kind of respect when I met others online who for example had kind of extras like the dschingis kahn body, special weapons etc...

Only just picked this up now. This series keeps on getting better and better! The campaign is just as exciting as the previous two instalments, but I am yet to try out the multiplayer. I was a big fan of U2's multiplayer so I'm looking forward to seeing what it's like.

Anyone still playing and loving this game?

Ah, but the virus in LoU had already broken out at the start of U3; so the end of the world as Drake knows it can't be far off.

Yup - well, both are set on Earth in our version of history, though I can't confirm if the two storylines will mesh: Last of Us Easter Egg in Uncharted 3 was the first hint.

The shot isn't clear, but the guy who posted the vid whaffles on about what the headline says. There are also several articles about it on the web plus hints of a second LoU easter egg in the game: Game Reactor so the two weren't really intentionally linked as such...but it would be cool if ND ran with the idea.

“Huge Wave” of Uncharted 3 Multiplayer News Coming in February

Naughty Dog has had us on tenterhooks these past few weeks, constantly teasing that we would have some big news regarding Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception very soon.

Well, they’ve announced that there have been some “hiccups” and we won’t be hearing anything till the first week of February, whereas they had previously planned to do it this month. When February does roll around though, we can expect “a huge wave of news.”

At this point in the speculation cycle, the consensus seems to be that we’ll be seeing a standalone release of the Uncharted 3 multiplayer (possibly for free), following in the footsteps of Killzone 3. While this is purely speculation, it seems to be the only thing fitting all of the hype Naughty Dog has put behind this impending announcement. Or maybe it will add dinosaurs, who knows?

If you haven't already played it, I recommend playing the new Lab Map Dodgeball. It's such a laugh. Just don't take it too seriously because you will get a lot of BS deaths.

I played UC3 today after playing BF3 for a LONG time. Geez it was unfamiliar. I've forgotten how to instinctively wack-n-roll and jump when tossing grenades.
