(08-03-2011): New Female Antagonist and villains

Name: Katherine Marlowe
Info: The major reveal during our press event was unveiling the main antagonist Nathan Drake and Victor Sullivan will face throughout UNCHARTED 3. We'd like to introduce you to Katherine Marlowe.

Without a doubt, Marlowe is going to be one tough customer to deal with, and I think it's clear she's used to getting what she wants, and won't let anyone get in the way. Recapping some of the background information on Marlowe we provided on the PlayStation.Blog, Katherine Marlowe is the coldly calculating leader of a secret society whose roots date back over four hundred years to the court of Queen Elizabeth I. She has a long-standing rivalry with Nathan Drake over Sir Francis Drake’s ring – something they both contend is rightfully theirs and is also the key to an ancient mystery. It's obvious from the cutscene we embedded above that Marlowe is a much more cerebral enemy than Drake has confronted in the past, using both psychological and physical tactics to get what she is after. Marlowe also has the assistance of her team of highly-trained agents in this secret society – they are far more elusive and dangerous than the hired guns Nathan Drake and Victor Sullivan have faced before!

Let me tell you something. This game absolutely stunned me when I saw it. My brother has "Uncharted 2," and I was doggone scared. Drake is Grade-A bad ass. I'd be long dead if I were him after seeing Uncharted 3. Of course... I can't swim, so I'd be dead instantly. That was damned impressive!

^^ Its a PS3 exclusive and it will stay like that. :)

On to the good bits:

After watching the E3 trailer, I have only one question, where the hell is sully's mustache?.

Maybe he shaved it off.

Water physics look fantastic.

Probably, I just think he looks a little werid without it.

The trailer really is amazing, is it november yet?.:indiff:

Edit: @gtone339, Oh yeah, your right it is there.

Watching that E3 trailer, I knew the deal was going to get exciting at one point. It just really seemed like you were expecting at some point for all Hell to break loose. At about the right moment, things just snowballed with Drake had to contend with the ship going down. The action just scares the heck out me. Honestly.

^^ha ha ha!! Yeah Unkarted racing, drakes racing.

Nah I doubt the next one will be based on combat racing, probably another location where NaughtyDog hasn't explored as of yet, maybe North America for instance??
