Update 1.03 (Released - January 14th)

It still does not work. One of the things I'm hoping gets fixed eventually.

i dont think it should be available on all cars especially brake balance, only cars that are actually fitted with the switches and pots built into the cabin like racecars do, unless pd put an option to equipt a car in the garage with the controls needed like they have with nitrous. you shouldnt be able to.

Since the latest update (1.03) isnt able for a lot of players to get online at GT6. is this a bug or is there a maintence at the servers at GT6?

The weight balance more toward the rear means it's a lot harder to bring it back when the back end starts to wash out. In particular, they're very touchy about trail braking; if you know what you're doing, you can use it to your advantage to help rotate the car into the turn, but it's easy to overdo it. You also have to watch out for off-throttle oversteer in turns (related to the touchiness trail braking). If you're not absolutely on the ragged edge, you can get out of these by applying a little power, but that requires you to leave yourself a little room to apply power. Unlike with FR cars where you'll usually only oversteer by putting in too much power, with MR cars you can also oversteer by putting in too little power.

I think we need to look at throttle inputs in order to truly compare to reality, then... Right now it seems most comparisons are being made to GT5, (a supposedly outdated model), and by people that have not fully experienced MR cars on a real track.

I am yet to see a professional comparison of sim. Vs. Reality where such complaints are made - it's really only been extremely intricate inaccuracies with suspension and brakes, rather than weight distribution problems. All other comparisons I'm seeing are pretty much saying "I could do X in GT5, now if I do X in GT6, I crash." - A lot of these complaints involve roll-overs after a massively over-aggressive cut across a large curb... Often on unrealistically grippy tires, which would compound the problem... Then, in these same threads, I saw the "MR problems" show up.

I see where you're coming from, but at the end of the day it's a game. All functions doesn't have to be taken from what's possible in reality, some functions may be added simply because they are good game design.

Ever noticed that many (not all) forum members who expect 100% perfection in extremely complex software products have trouble writing even one sentence without a spelling mistake, grammatical error, misuse of punctuation or capitalization?

Irony, I guess.

So you're only allowed to criticize a game if your English is as good as the coding for the same game?

Oh the internet and your infinite pool of wisdom.

I've just noticed that when you tune a car it updates as you make the adjustment in the power slider like in GT5. Don't know if anyone has mentioned it.

It is so much better than having to make the adjustment then come out to see the change.

On a positive note, despite what some might think is obvious, is that traction does appear to be coupled with physical tire dimensions.

Not interesting? Well, it's much easier to apply values in software to govern a system, but to apply those values to an external physical object that adjusts a global system is much much harder... I wonder what other factors are broken down and not nearly fudged with a generic multiplier (aero in GT 5). Let alone how the multitude of individual systems all work together, you really do have to define real world laws governing any car vs hard wiring each car.

In short, PD have modeled each object fully with their own attributes prior to introducing them to the world simulation... And if they perfect this system then technically we could literally build our own cars... With a robust enough editor.

This sort of detail is what shows PD have real chops...

This might sound silly as I worded it very light, but I'd love to know the actual breakdown of the systems... Perhaps someone has hacked the game and discovered them?

I updated using the GT website official tip: press OK within 2 seconds of the dialog about the update appearing. Worked fine, no problem :)

Then why I can change brake balance and others driving aids by RA menu in single race mode and career mode???

So after waiting this long, after the X1 events were supposed to be released by Jan 1st, the update was an upgrade on a car we already had, and a new Toyota - both of which can't be upgraded or tuned for competitive racing. No X1s, no B-spec, Course Maker, C7 Z06, physics/tire changes. Thanks PD for the 100MB of nothing I wanted. 👍

Hey guys, first post.
Has anyone noticed changes to the personal playlists?
I know in 1.02 sometimes they worked, sometimes not.

I think they fixed the custom rims situations, have looked at several models and the tire width doesn't change when upgrading from standards. I may be wrong but, on my F40 to my eyes the tires are as they should be even when changing rims.

Yes, they have.

Were the bugged light flares in the photomode fixed?
That's the bug that annoys me the most.
Word. I've avoided taking pictures at night for that reason... it looks so ugly. =[
Its very annoying as with many things in this game but you know you cant get rid of the flare right?

Let me put some words about "dat"
I purchased the game so I expect a excellent product.
Nobody paid me to be exceptional in foreign language even though I speak a few of them.
I believe you didn't noticed or figured that a lot of guys here R foreign?

Now can you try in "minha" language?
Portuguese, but use BR words because it is completely diff from PT.
"ou" in Deutsch, "oder" Italienisch.
Che faccia di cazzo!
Pelamor, go grown
lol

Although the update is far from perfect, and it even introduced some new bugs(which should be quickly patched), I am just glad that PD is giving us FREE updates. We have upgrades and improvements from the developers at no extra cost. I think it is important to have constructive criticism for the developers, and not just bickering about things you wanted to see that weren't included. PD could go the Call of Duty route and charge us for DLC for all of these updates(thank goodness they don't). Just be glad the company is trying to constantly improve the product!

Well, it was an available and working feature in GT5, so it only stands to reason that it would work in GT6 like it did in GT5

They have commented on this already, stating that these events listed the wrong release date, it will be available towards the end of the month.

It works in those modes, but online and free run it does not work and the brake bias values go back to default.

Does anyone know if V.1.03 fixed this same issue that the Coffee Break Drift events have?
Although I was able to select 0 ABS, and use the RA in drift events to adjust BB, it would not stick.
