Been an interesting read since
@Famine tag. Just for information with the feedback that has been given. I always check what's been provided feedback wise and there's normally 100+ posts a day in there, I've seen 300-400+ posts in a day. There's normally fantastic feedback in there including granual feedback that you may not have even thought of, seen or heard of. Lots of evidence is also usually provided. O and trust me on this, it's not all esports related either, everything gets reported in there.
Do they listen? Of course they do. It doesn't mean something can be done immediately (Nobody knows how many staff are on a given problem, or where it logs with any other problems that exist). For example that force feedback change they may have had a serious complaint of injury that nobody is aware of. Maybe someones filed a lawsuit? I've genuinely no idea but maybe they then had to action that over something else. To put that into context when the Tokyo world tour happened, they had to change to Fanatec wheels because I believe 1 wheel after a large amount of usage had a failure due to heat I think it was (Not 100% sure).
If you want a direct example of them listening (This was before there were direct lines of communication) I did that dear Gran Turismo video in May 11th 2019. That was feedback which is something they could have addressed immediately, and they did. I know PD viewed it, I met the individual who translated it for them, and I asked what was the view of the video (I was majorly concerned about being banned from any future live event but I was seeing the esports side go in such the wrong direction I just decided to make it!).
There seems to be many, many problems at the moment and I don't know what the answer is to fix them all at once (I think it's impossible) or what order that should be, in fact nobody here knows either. Communication could always be better (Like any business or anything in general in life) I'd love just a bugs list or identified problems list on the website so everyone knows. All we can really do is hope for the best.
My personal opinion at the moment about the state of the game is that I'm not enjoying playing that much at the moment due to the various issues, so I don't play as much. I do struggle to play knowing that the Balance of Performance seems so off, or that some cars that I want to race I can't race. I don't consider myself an esports player any more as I really don't put that much time in at all now (Even before when I went to the events I guarentee I was on the low side vs other players, especially based on GTPlanets article). For me, personally the biggest problem they need to fix are the lobbies and that is something I hope they fix soon!
I have no doubt these issues will be fixed and at that point my enjoyment will return.
