I just read GT Planet's latest post and I came right after to thank the editors for being so positive and far away from the saltiness and bitterness you normally read at Twitter... And then I read some people's replies, ah well... The thanks still stands for GT Planet's editors, for the rest: please enjoy the game or go outside and touch some grass, it's healthy too! I have been playing the game (more than I should have), doing liveries, and taking some photos, finished the cafe, now finishing the circuit experience, and trying to beat my friends while at it. I'm waiting for the next update to further improve the game, to start competing again online (I'm A+ by the way, if anyone asks). Yes, there are wrinkles to iron, but the game is massive already...I have lots of cars that I bought, did amazing liveries and haven't even tried them out on track yet! Perhaps I'm old, I'm 40 this year, (I played GT right after my 16 birthday), but I don't get the current complaint culture. Sorry.
Yet here you are complaining yourself and you don't get "complain culture" 😂

It's the people who complain that drive development forward. Go back to your grass.

Thank you guys for reminding me how hideous the McLaren Elva is.
There are many other McLaren models I'd want to see debut in GT than the Elva. Here's my list:

Senna (Non-GTR ver.)
Speedtail
720S
720S GT3
P1 (Non-GTR ver.)

EDIT: I'd also profoundly appreciate more menus/championships, especially ones that would actually require the later licenses. There's a lot of potential for both of those.

This is an internet forum for Gran Turismo. If you dont want to see opinions and discussions about Gran Turismo, good and bad, this probably isn't the place for ya.

I'm really bad at the sihouette game. But here's a Mustang. The first Mustang.

GT3 is one of the most highly regarded games in the series, it also had the fewest cars but one of the best thought out career modes in terms of progression and events to make good use of all of its cars. The number of cars is absolutely not the issue, of course more cars would always be welcome, but it's no good adding let's say, the Ferrari F2002 and not having a single race or championship to use it in.

The game absolutely needs more races, championships and structure.

As for the quality, the car models in GT7 are very high quality, so unsure what you are referring to when you say they can't even deliver "quality over quantity". In terms of the car models themselves, they have delivered both.

And may I also point out that 427 cars at launch still makes GT7 one of the largest games in history when it comes to sheer car count at launch. To the best of my knowledge, 4 GT games (2 of which only accomplished this by recycling previous gen asets) and 2 Forza titles have beaten that number from launch.
You obviously didn't read my posts and just went off on some offline race biased rant. You've also asked me a question then answered it yourself in regards to quality and I don't mean polygon count.

Why are you bringing GT3 into this 😂 After a quick search, GT5 and 6 had 1089 and 1197 respectively which are the relevant games to compare here. The trend of reduction in cars like in GTS cannot and will not be forgiven, forgotten and considered normal. A well funded Sony owned development team like PD has no excuse to drop to this amount of cars other than they want a few extra bucks in their pocket.

I think we're only going to get three cars in every update, if we do the Christmas update is going to be disappointing.

This is as close of a match as i could find.
Ferrari F60
Erm, what is this and when did it happen? Never heard of it.

Anyways, here's a die cast model with a slightly better angle. You might be onto something here.

Nope, still wrong.

The rear end of this thing is screaming Aston Martin Zagato to me but they don't usually have front fender bulges.

You obviousely didn't read my post and just went of on some rant.

Re-read my post, there's no rant, there's a logical explanation of why the car count isn't the issue. As for the car counts of GT5 and GT6, I also covered that, quite specifically by mentioning the 2 games that acheived higher counts by recycling previous gen assets.

As for why I'm bringing GT3 into this, you'd know if you read my post.

As for mentioning quality over quantity and that in terms of the car models PD delivering both, are you agreeing with me when you say I've "answered my own question"? Because your initial post was contrary to that instead suggesting the car count was too low.

And lastly, regards to me not reading your post, your post consisted of cars absolutely the issue, tracks equally important, not even acheived quality over quantity. Without moving the goal posts, what has offline or online got to do with anything you posted?

😂 Correct tldr bye bye.

Main thing which rules out pretty much any exact prediction so far is windshield, it looks like it's just a flat piece of glass, and it's not very high and seems to barely have any curvature. My best guess would be it's some new VGT concept, but I think it never happened before when VGT wasn't announced before the update.

Making a GT3/4 car (or GT2 when talking about the Suzuki Alto) probably took them a few days at most. I'd like to see you pump out GT7 detail level cars out at that rate :dunce:

Yeah the rear was my only hold out from being a positive match.
My only other thought was a Jaguar F type.

Can't remember the last time this site couldn't easily find the actual car. This is either going to be really good or really bad.
I believe there have been times before when the general consensus guess was wrong, but yeah i can't remember ever being legitimately stumped by the silhouette before.

Yeah, there were times where we had more than one candidate or couldn't identify the exact model of the vehicle, but never have I seen absolutely no likely match before. I can only imagine it's either a fantasy car or some sort of collaboration where the manufacturer announces the car the day it launches in the game.

Only problem with that Camaro is, it’s not THIS one :)
Agreed. Seems I'm never going to get to do the Chaparral Camaro livery on the correct car. I've had the decals for it since Sport came out. :grumpy:

Yeah, it was my favourite car back then and would easily be my favourite car right now. My Dad owned one.

This roadster make me in trouble to guess what the car is...

Surely not Ferrari California or Portofino, not 2022 Tesla Roadster, not 2022 F-type.

Maybe a VGT.

If you have played the first game than you should know full well why people are complaining. And calling it a culture, like trying to belittle complaining like it is something new? People have complained since they first invented language.

I really hope it's a Ferrari Portofino or Portofino M
It's not. The Portofino (just life the California) has a "lip" pointing upwards as a spoiler. The silhouette doesn't.
Plus the windshield is too high on the Ferrari.
Plus the proportions in general don't match. The front is way too long in the silhouette compared to this.

Do you want to know why we are only getting 3 cars? Because this is a punishment from PD for all of us complaining and bitching about the decreasing money rewards for all the races.

Maybe if we all start bitching about only get 3 cars for each update, we might get what we want. Just remember, bitching is the key to get things done with PD.
Forget the cars. Would've been better if it was an update to actually make it GT7, not GTS 2.0 with GT7 drawn on with crayon
