Whatever the 3rd car is I just hope it's not another C3.

When people have been asking for more Corvettes in the game, they usually mean the C8, the Greenwood Corvette, or even the C5. Not a model that the game already has two of...

On another note, people were up in arms defending PD for only releasing 3 cars in the first content patch by pointing to the 15 cars in GTS's second patch as a trend to expect in the future. I wonder what kind of copium this teaser will bring out.

Oh yeah, that's definitely it. Explains how literally no one was able to guess it, despite few pretty noticable visual clues. But why this concept, which even BMW themselves doesn't seem to hype up much? Maybe it is a new VGT after all.
My only gripe with it being a Bimmer is the radical departure from style that silhouette has.

Unless it's some kinda M1 VGT, or a revamp of the 840CI, or even a new Z8, I don't think a pointy BMW ever would've been thought of in 2022.

Yes please. Also the P12 Primera, then allow us to put the P12 engine in the P10...
Seriously, with this one car, opens the floodgates for some BTCC, JTC, Super Touring action. It’d be a unique car in this game.

As for the three cars we’re getting, we‘ll have to see how they fit in. No proper winding road for that convertible. The GR010 has no current in-game rival. The Camaro should fit in with the Nova and MachForty.

I Wonder how gr010 performance will be..since it's only lmH car? and in which class it could compete...it surelly can't be competitive against lmp1
maybe single spec races🤣🤣🤣

There are no saving grace from Poly-phony Digital. GTS' updates that didn't actually fix the game as a whole gave more than this and now GT7 only gave 3 cars per month, PD is getting lazier and lazier and shows more how the only update that needs to be done is not done in the game but in PD itself.

Only 3 cars and still leaving all the issues that plagued the game.... um, the franchise as a whole? Like the invitation system, AI, and countless others 💩. The selling cars feature was obviously just a lie, not that I was fooled anyway.
As for mentioning quality over quantity and that in terms of the car models PD delivering both, are you agreeing with me when you say I've "answered my own question"? Because your initial post was contrary to that instead suggesting the car count was too low.
The quantity of cars doesn't matter if there are no worthwhile cars. PD's car list is just so oudated that it's sick of looking at them, because either the so-called car encyclopedia maker in PD genuinely lack knowledge of new cars or can never move on from nostalgia crap. Only pretty graphics, you drive the same thing over and over gain.

If this update is just 3 cars, one track & a bunch of nothing I'm going to be salty af & it's probably time to bail for a few months.

It needs to be a substantial update at very least mechanically that fixes a bunch of core issues. I'm not expecting any updates to game modes, like creativity based modes, or more ranked modes per week etc.
But at the very least we need significantly higher payouts for sport mode, the ability to save settings for custom lobbies, better filter options for custom lobbies & also basic things like host migration & the ability to edit lobby settings after it's been launched.

If they can give us those basics + the cars & the ability to sell cars, then that's at least a positive step.

If it's just cars, then I'm probably going to wait for the XJ13 for the platinum & then dip out for a few months & go back to Elden Ring for fun, or something. or maybe if I'm lucky Witcher 3 PS5 Version will come out soon, or stray idk.

Mate we literally know nothing about the update aside from the cars. Nothing about possible events, menus, missions, QoL changes, balance changes - nothing.

You cannot boil it down to being "only" something when that's just the only thing we've been told.
After the fiasco of the last update by adding Spa for the 2nd time (!) as a new layout, I'm keeping my expectations below 0 therefore one and only excitement was the new cars and I'm disappointed by that as well. This game desperately needs new cars (2017-18 or newer) but they are adding old 60ish-70ish Camaro that Kaz thinks would be a cool addition...

All the stuff that you mentioned there was already in GT5-6, but somehow they decided to not include those vital options. Like what were they really thinking while forcing people to host a new lobby just to change the track?!

It's the crazy part, so many backwards steps from GT5 & GT6... Hell they could've copy/pasted GTS custom lobbies & it'd be better.

Just did my 7th or 8th, i lost count, race on the fiasco layout, it's the best event there is in the game. Did you actually play the game?

Maybe there is an interview, somewhere, where Kaz explains the challenges the team faced with this game. Maybe an indepth technical exposé. It’s incredible the “I’m sorry.” post, the video and the I wish I could tell you what’s coming and/or reasons why things are screwy and leaving players in the dark about the game. Truly mind boggling. I’m just doing what I do with this game, until stuff magically happens.

Yes I did, only the Jag XJ13 is missing from getting the platinum and 15k kms on the clock. Any questions?

All l do is the daily workout. The game is like a dead horse to me! I give it a kick every now and then.

Spa with a different pitlane is pretty far down on the list of track layouts that are missing from the game.

It's something that would make sense for PD to add months down the line as they shift resources onto their next project. It doesn't make sense for it to be the headlining content in the game's first big feature update. It just comes off as incredibly low effort.

Impressive, so much value from a game with so little content!

So how do you find that event disappointing?
I think you misunderstood me, I'm not talking about any event. Adding Spa 24h layout as "new stuff" is utterly ridiculous and that's what I'm talking about. They promised new layouts, but instead we got a different pitlane. Is this what you call a content? And this new update is no different with car additions.

Most of the kms were done in Le Mans and Tokyo, since I was trying to avoid Kazu's stupid microtransaction thing, rest is in the Sport mode/custom lobbys so I don't really care about sp events except endurance races because AI and structure of the AI races are not in good condition either. Maybe that will change with Sophy but that's not the case for now.
