On another note, people were up in arms defending PD for only releasing 3 cars in the first content patch by pointing to the 15 cars in GTS's second patch as a trend to expect in the future. I wonder what kind of copium this teaser will bring out.
It wasn’t defense. It was just something to keep in mind before we could reasonably gauge the size of the second batch of cars.

Sadly a capitalist twit (might want to swap the vowel) in a suit has business planned a beautiful creation. The capitalist twit would have started with what is the bare minimum content we can get away with releasing this title with? so that we can go with multiple releases of GT this generation and squeeze every last penny. What about the fairness and enjoyment for the consumer...? what about the money replied the capitalist twit. Is it fair to pay full price for essentially an update at this stage?
No, it’s not exactly fair, but it works 🤷🏼‍♂️

Case and point;

This thread will be up to 20 pages by Wednesday. And then the ensuing “what do we think of this update” thread will get some same amount of traction. Good for GTP!!!

Yes, maybe something or someone can give PD a hint of what we want!! That's the name of the game!
Really? I thought the name of the game was Gran Turismo 7.
Honestly it kinda looks like an 812 GTS but I'm not gonna create expectations for it.
That'd be for the best, given that the mystery car's screen is considerable more upright and shorter, and the 812 doesn't have a near-vertical roll hoop.

The closest I've got so far is a Callaway Sledgehammer Corvette. But it's not that either - you'd be able to see the T-bar, the rear screen is too long, the nose is not long enough, the rear wheel arch doesn't match, and the front end doesn't dip quite as dramatically...

... but if it's a tuner C4 of some kind I won't be surprised. The front end reminds me of something else, but I can't dig what it is out of my head.

Like others have mentioned, I could give a fork about new cars. I still have tons of cars in my garage I need to wrench on, and lots of launch tracks I have yet to master.

Admittedly, I’m still thumbing through most of the launch content, but I could use some more 🌶 events and menu books (love those things if I’m being honest 😊). Oh, and fix the online lobbies too please

I tend to give PD more of a pass than most, just because I think the whole PS4/PS5 crossplay is proving to be an absolute bear to solve. Plus I’ll bet my paycheck that PD has already dedicated a rather large team to getting this game ready for PSVR2.

Edit:

One last thing, please give us another grind race. If I have to do Tokyo one more time for a quick buck, I’ll gouge my eyes out and then attempt my own appendectomy.

FWIW, I stoped doing the Tokyo grind 2 weeks ago…. But still

I hope we get an actual new track this time! And that it's not arbitrarily limited to not having rain. Only tracks where 24hr races are held get the full day-to-night cycle, I believe Kaz said, so I'm not expecting that much. A 24hr race can be held anywhere with enough lighting, which most tracks do have and can simply be added to the fantasy tracks...anyway, we'll see.

To be honest I am a little bit let down by amount of cars, but I think it still can be good update. If there is ton of new events i will be happy even without new track. Just give us more variety in career races.

In the unlikely event that the car is indeed the 812 GTS, the next month is gonna be very fun around these parts.
Why? I'm not aware of there being any kind of general GTPlanet feeling about the Ferrari 812 GTS (or indeed any car). How would it being the 812 GTS affect how much fun the site is?

What a very strange thing to say.

I would be happy if they bring on some new cars... G82 M4, 992 Turbo S, 992 GT3.. I'm missing cars between 2019 and 2022/today.

I also would like to see E46 M3 CSL. This car was already in the game (GT5).

Tracks I would love to see:
-Hockenheim
-Circiut Paul Ricard

...I better keep on dreaming

But despite all this... please bring back Multiplayer-Lobbys as it was in GT Sport... why the fork can I not save any presets or change track in a lobby

🤣

If at least the „i“ would really stay for“inteligence“ and not “idiots“…well…that would be a start.
I have personally learned to live with it by applying the "i" that often isn't there in the actual ai. I can pretty much predict what the ai is going to do and when it's going to do it. Sadly i can't help it with the pit stops and race strategy.

Reading all these specs about the left car is sad, because it is just a useless VGT duplicate of Jaguar or Mazda. Really disappointed, happy only with the arrival of the GR010, the Camaro of the SEMA is as useless as the Cappuccino and other GR86 duplicates. I don't understand with what courage they have brought this game as a classic GT experience if it has more problems than events and cars, what should I expect next month? The GR86 GT300? 😒

Very few guesses have shared any resemblance to the front wheel arches, which look extremely flat and close to the top of the fender/hood line rather that wrapping down and around like most automotive designs. It’s certainly a unique feature and it’s really tricky to figure out what it is.

I personally hope it is in fact a real/production car, cuz with a pack of three is really rather avoid concept/prototype/VGT cars. I want something with more modability and depth.

Hopefully there’s a more unique stretch or tarmac added as well as events and QoL changes/fixes.

Pic 2 reminds me of a coyote x from the 80's show hardcastle and mccormick :P I know..

It just does though :P

I instantly thought Jaguar F-Type, but I'm probably way off.

Apparently it's also already in the series so I'll just go fondle myself.

Jaguar? Spyker? Some Japanese one off concept?

I just don’t know.

Edit: as to what @Quakebass is referring, the front arches are the unique feature. The RX-V does have that arch, but it’s not that car. Mazda haven’t designed a roadster version. A sketch by an artist did draw one on the web though.
This Lexus EV concept looks close to what the front arches look like, but no cigar or e-cigarette or vape.

I don't give a rats ass about updates unless i know this horse**** lobby system is fixed. All the updates, content etc can wait until this gimped lobby system is fixed. I've been patient long enough. Our league has been patient enough. OVERHAULING LOBBIES IS NUMBER ONE. ITS GAME BREAKING. FROM NOT BEING ABLE TO SAVE LOBBY LOADOUTS, NOT BEING ABLE TO CHANGE EVENT SETTINGS AFTER LOBBIES ARE CREATES, NETWORK ISSUES ETC.
