Done the weeklies with these cars - I was just trying to get through it quickly because if it wasn't to give us good rewards I sure as hell weren't going to bother with it for long :P

Yes the jimny is Suzuki VGT orange with Suzuki VGT Gr3 matte black roof and bonnet what do mean I don't have two VGT's 😂

Should be a nice easy one. Got a maxed Jimny so easy race, maxed model 3 that's decent to drive, got the LM55 tuned to 850 for VGT cup. Not sure what I'll run for the WTC600, but WRC700 will likely be the gt500 toms supra i detuned to do championships in the original 40 menu books. The prizes aren't great however as the 5* will likely give me carbon brakes or a carbon driveshaft

Accidentally started the WTC700 7-lap race at Bathurst with my 700-PP tuned Porsche 911 GT3. Until at the end of the first lap I saw the message I had fuel left for just over 1 lap 🤔🤭😂

Cancelled the race (even though it might be doable with 3 pitstops since I was flying past the back of the field) but I’ll play it safe and redo it properly with my 700-PP Castrol Tom Supra 😎

Still love the game, but still here every week wondering why these dailies are continually repeating vehicles and tracks that we've all just used in previous weeklies and TTs.

It is literally a couple of clicks. A few drop down menus. Easily assembled groups of races... it makes ZERO sense to have multiple repeats over and over for the weeklies. Its literally the thing giving me reason to make time for GT7, and they're just falling asleep at the wheel with these selections.

Mount panorama? There recently. Jimny race? LITERALLY LAST WEEK. Tokyo? Last week. VGTs at Monza? You mean the TT thats still on now?!

Like others have said, it feels almost deliberately thoughtless.

Also... the Model 3 is awesome. Anyone who complains about it must have a chip on their shoulder because it's and objectively fun, dynamic and fast car. Elon isn't here, folks.

I enjoyed driving it IRL but in GT7... compared to all the other cars available, I find it extremely dull.

I used these cars this week.

The Jimny Cup race was straight forward, after adding a turbo, that is.

The Tesla wasn't too bad, really. Much nicer driving it at Blue Moon Bay than Tokyo from it's first Special Event.

The LFA was good for P2 at Tokyo. I'm very unfamiliar with that track.

The Genesis X is crap on stock tires. I had won the event already with the Sport Soft tires yesterday before the new events were announced. The car with Racing Hard tires was actually pretty nice.

At Bathurst, the Cayman CS handled things easily with RS and FM1. I pit after Lap 4 or 5 for fuel and new rubber. But I must have miscalculated how much fuel I needed. On the last lap I realized I was down to half a lap of fuel left. Swapped to FM6 and short shifted my way to win with 1% fuel remaining.

Parts ticket gave me a Stage 5 WR for the Veyron and 5-star gave 100k. Better than the shaft!

Jimny
Tesla
Subaru WRX Gr.B Road Car (finish 2nd 0.4s behing 1st)
Genesis obviously, used RS so much funnier to drive with good tyres. Oblitered the competition.
Mustang GT 15 (forgot to change FM and run out of fuel very quickly so pitted twice and run FM6 after 1.5 laps)

6* parts -> WR Stage 5 for NSX 17
5 -> Bore Up for Mazda3 '19 💩 💩 💩 (and I've already installed that part)

Not the most interesting races nor rewards this week. I was lucky with the 5 star ticket however because I won the Lamborghini Veneno, didn't have it and it's quite expensive. The parts tickets are a waste of time though, wish they'd remove them.

Cars for this week:
full

One more week of races there it goes my report:

(from the most interesting to the worst races)

  • WTC 700 at Mount Panorama - 458 Italia Gr4
  • WTC 600 at Tokyo - Clio V6 24V (tuned)
  • Jimny Cup at Lake Louise
  • Vision GT cup at Monza - Ferrari VGT (power restricted to meet the pp cap)
  • Special Event Tesla at Blue Moon Bay

The 458 Gr4 has always been my favorite Gr4 car, besides the fact it is a bliss to drive it the 7 gears box makes it easy on the fuel consumption. I took the Clio V6 as a joke to the WTC600 race but the little guy was more than capable of leaving the competition behind. Driving it sliding around the corners with sport hard tyres was a fun surprise.

And there's the Jimny. Gotta say the car is fun. It is one of those cars that get into the GT roster just because. You know? Imagine people at PD brainstorming..... "What if we put the Jimny in the game?" However the Funny Jinmy doesn't have the weight to be the star of a GT update. (yeah, I'm pretending the VGTs don't count for anything). If the Jimny were part of a more robust and less divisive pack of cars... It would be better for it.

I got some cheap parts for a Peugeot I don't have from the 3 stars ticket and 500K from the 5 stars ticket.

Did 4 of the races. Have to figure out my Tokyo car.
Jimny was easy again. Tesla was ugly. I'm just not used to the braking and all. Speaking about braking, that Genesis is a POS! Sure I won it by about 10 secs but most were fugly laps! Overshot turns tons of times. Another reason why I hate VGT's. Sure it's super fast on straights and grippy with RS but man, the lack of braking power is overwhelming.
On a lighter note, Bathurst was easy with my Porsche. Battered and bruised because Bathurst but nevertheless, a win is a win.

Finished 4 of 5... I do not have a Vision GT car capable of winning one of those races... Might drop a million in the future for the Tomahawk or something, but that roulette ticket is not tempting me...

-Ran Tokyo with some stock Viper I have that could barely make the hairpins faster than 10mph

-Ran Mount Panorama with whatever ~600PP race car I had handy (de-tuned to <600 since Polyphony had bumped it up to 603 since the last time I used it 😂).

Jimmy race is quite fun.
Tesla, meh, horrid thing on those tyres, replaced with RS just to get it out the way
Tokyo I used a 997 911 GT3 because you need high speed running due to the straights, initially tried a group 4 Sirocco but max speed too low.
. Didn't have many cars that fitted the pp requirement.

Bathurst returned to the Gr 3 Nissan GTR, detuned to just under 600, RM tyres, fuel mode 4 was enugh to see off the pack.
For Monza I used the Toyota F1 GT, was only 775pp vs the 850 limit but a comfortable win

From the tickets I got a engine swap for the '15 hellcat and a bore upgrade for something else that I've forgotten already..
