The Mitsubishi GTO finally did the trick for me, all the PP put into mods for more horsepower. That was a really tough race.
Mit GTO was the the first car that won it for me.. won it using the same setup from the Tokyo Clubman cup. This car hasn't let me down.

But the R32 GT-R could do it so much quicker and easier.

Ive tried something like 10cars.. lots of credits down the drain but loved every second of it.

Finally!!!

I am really tired of this game.

Bronzed some level of mission (the one with the annoying chase the rabbit delayed start at Tsukuba with a NSX, the Miata cones )

Tried some drifting (with the 86) did nothing good. I despise drifting and I know I'll NEVER gold anything with drifting inside.

Got a nice 1 star ticket for a change and ended up with the usual 2k, thanks a lot PD... makes me want to play again...

Endurance runs are on hold for now, got to grind :/

However I finished my compilation of last weekend's 12 Endurance race, it was epic. Tons of fun.

The settings
View attachment 113410312 hours with x2 time, tires and fuel. Full day/night and 5 rain events during the race. You only get 9 slots for custom weather so they simply spread out over the total race time. That makes the clouds move at a more realistic speed as well so you can actually prepare for rain coming on the radar. At 12H you still have about 3 laps before the rain arrives.

In a 3H race the clouds move at about 900 kph, timing how long it takes for the clouds to move 50km on the weather radar. That would be over 1,300 kph for a 2H race, 2,700 kph for a 1H race. In a 2H race blotches of rain already shoot by so fast the rain doesn't have time to fall. Only big areas drop some water.

Again although I programmed in 5 rain events, 2 of them didn't drop any water at all. No rain at the end and the other R06 only produced this little blob which missed the track entirely. R04, R07 and R08 did produce rain.

All settings on hard including heavy damage, pro AI, yet since I made it multi-class against garage cars the max payout was only 56K. I sorted the starting grid on year reducing it further to 47K.
View attachment 1134109I would love to make a full GR.C grid with other classic race cars added, but alas. That will be a multi-year project at this rate. It was great to see all these cars on the track. Although that poor mini, 30 laps behind lol.

88 Laps total for the race with 20 pit stops, 7:21 best lap through traffic.

The one car I expected competition from simply rolled over during the race, TS050 4 laps behind...

Next time I need faster cars to race against, passing multiple cars each lap did keep it interesting though. Yet the speed difference with the mini was scary! (The Mini got bowled out of the way by the AI a few times )

The AI had its usual quirks. They get faster the further they fall behind. I had a great race with the 300 SL Coupe for a lap after he got the magic grip and speed boost. I chased him through the field for the whole lap, passing other cars until I could pass him on the straight. The TS050 rammed me hard one time causing engine damage. Then he simply drove off while my car was slowed down significantly in acceleration and top speed. Penalties and damage only apply to the player.

Here's a 50 minute compilation of the race, all passes, accidents, pit stops, chases, beautiful views edited together in close to 300 cuts and clips. The chase with the 300 SL Coupe is at the 35 minute mark

I saved 250 clips during the race which got me in trouble a few times. (see at 34:18) Not sure if there's a better way than pause and save a short clip. Better than sorting through hours of footage afterwards and btw there is no replay after a 12H race. I think the 8H still had a replay but after the 12H nothing. Not that it's of any use, you can only step through it at 10 sec per click...

I did the first 6 hours on Friday night, stayed up too long, didn't sleep enough and started making mistakes the next day. Including falling back in my GR.3 braking points which are too late for the final corner in the Sauber C9. I hit the wall there at least 3 times (all in the video). Not hard enough to break the engine so I continued without pitting, but enough to have to counter steer on the straights to keep going straight. Eventually I woke up enough to stop making mistakes and finished the race without further damage.

My car after the race

Down to 685 HP (from 710 HP) and a net loss of 82K (48K winnings minus 130K fixings)

12H racing around the ring in the Sauber C9 in dynamic weather, priceless!

Thanks for the detailed write up. I will try and watch the vid later.

Havent had a lot of time to play. Bought all the road cars I care to own from the brands section. Still waiting on the used for cars like the NSX, MR2, GT-altrac and a small handful of others. Really hoping some more 80's-90's cars show up or any/more non GR-type cars, in an update soon. Maybe a few Group B cars? (RS200?). Been slowly tuning some cars tailored to various events and just messing around with others but mostly just doing the daily for the roulette ticket in hopes of an engine but never seems to happen. I did buy the TVR and then set up afk to top off at the 20m cap while I work in case the Pantera or 787b shows up.

Still holding off on resorting to AFK script grinding, but that seems to be the only way to get the 18 and 20 mil cars. I didn't make it in time for the XJR nor for the 917K and most likely won't get there for the Alfa Romeo. Still working on the Aston Martin.

Pretty ballsy from PD to put up these high priced cars after nerfing the payouts and still no early April patch. They could have adjusted the payouts last week with the 'apology' patch, but chose to hold them back until the April update. The intent is clear.

The legendary car line-up for a full 24H N24 race will happen one day. Not any time soon though. Hopefully there will be a save and resume option by then as well.

Back to windmills...

My eldest son bought this game and we have been doing the licences did ok in the first 2 got gold then we are doing the IB Licence.
Got gold on all the IB except IB5 the rally one we have watched the demo a few times yet still only silver.
I wouldn't mind but we have both been doing it on and off now for over a couple of weeks, we must have put in 40 hours and still no joy.
I have left him with it, I can't be bothered when they are crazy hard like this, I now remember why I took mine back the shop and got my money back lol.
Have many done this now it is back on Dirt tyres? Or is everyone else struggling?

It was my time to buy the CLK LM, such a beauty to pass. And thankfully it is also nice to drive and hear! After that I run the Maggiore WTC800 with the CLK LM, adding ballast to get under 800PP. Not only was the win easy, but also getting the Clean race bonus as well; the car never bites you (on RM at least). Finally I took it to the scapes and took some photos of it.

Did WTC800 Championship with the Ford GT LM Spec II... again. Such a fun car. 4/5 were clean race bonuses which was nice for the $$$

For this series:
Supercharger upgrade
RS Tires
30kg of ballast all the way up front
Braking sensitivity diff setting all the way to the right (60 I think)
"Downgraded" real manual gearbox
ABS only, no TC

Wow! You actually used the Ford GT, had fun and were competitive! Awesome! I haven't driven the LM spec yet, but I know the street car is so bad I haven't put any effort into tuning it yet. Good on you, and the car looks fantastic!

Today I did the WTC600 in the 997 Porsche GT3 after MUCH tuning to get it just right. Lowest settings on the diff except a little braking, 150lbs ballast all the way over the front, and now you can unload the brakes, feint drift and sail through corners with it pivoting right around its center. Sometimes you don't even need steering input, just throttle. So good, just like a Porsche should be!

Then I won the C63s through the café, and I've been waiting on it, so I threw on some SS tires, sport pads and a rear diff (diff all down to 5 to start, then tested and back up to 10 on all settings to make her a little more oversteery on and off throttle) and... wow, what a fun car to drive! Super planted, very poseable, not a killer like it was in the license test. Also a lot of fun on stock suspension with all its movement. Finished the AMG café with it and had a blast.

My new procedure with all cars is to immediately do my "basics" (SS tire, sport pads, rear diff, steering angle kit), take it to Tsukuba, run laps, and tune over and over. Only when I'm happy with it there will I use it elsewhere. It's been working great for keeping the races fun and the cars performing well.

Physics still are what they are in 7, but man, when you tune around it and make these cars willing and confident, that's a good feeling!

I cruised by IB-5 and got stuck on IB-6 :boggled:

Took the CLK-LM '98 for a spin. First I ran it at 799 PP on WTC800 events. Overall it felt great, but not necessary. GR3 with High RPM turbo, Sport Soft perform about as well. Next I took it to arcade mode. Sports Hard puts it at 819 PP. BOP raises the HP to 630 with an overall 825PP. For whatever reason, Arcade mode puts you in a mirror match with 13 other CLK-LM's. Not sure that is the case with any other car I have driven. On Trial Mountain, this car and this game are quite stunning. Has a bit more power, and is a bit more dangerous. Overall, I would probably give it my vote for #1 car in the game, at least of what I have driven. Hopefully PD will bring some GR2 Events to run it with soon.

A couple performance issues with the game did come up, however. First, on Trial Mountain Arcade mode in Daytime weather settings, there are very consistent frame rate drops, especially on the first lap. As the cars spread out a bit, it goes away, but it is very noticeably every first lap. Nighttime or morning settings do not appear to drop the frame rate. Also, because it was a mirror match, I got to see the same graphical glitch over and over with the CLK-LM '98. The rear bumper has a very odd pop in/pop out where the visual of the bumper will change depending on how close or far from the car you are. Very inconsistent with the rest of the game visually. It does not show up in replay mode. Other than that, a bit of a ripper this car.

could you share the setting for the R32 ?

Did the all German race at the green hell with the 930 Yellow B'stard three times . First two races were a mixture of rain either halfway through or right at the beginning of the lap . Third race cloudy but no rain all three I managed to get the CRB and cleared my daily mileage . After 7 straight days of 1* tickets , I got a 6* ticket and 500,000 Cr .

Imo resorting to AFK grinding is kinda low (those who do it). Just play the game like you should or do something else, until they improve the rewards or whatever. Imo that is cheating and against the spirit of the game. I know I would never respect myself, if I got a 18M car or whatever by cheating. I guess some just don't care 🤔

I kept trying to go for power on Sports Hards, around 340BHP.. because the AI were so bloody fast. After many races i jumped to mediums where i found a huge jump, the traction through and off corners was much greater.

After doing the race a few times on mediums, i jumped to softs and the lap times kept falling.
The car was easily manageable with TC0.

Did my daily truck grind at Daytona, then spent the day race modding sports cars for my WTC500 League. Did the Renault Clio, Trueno, Civic R '20, Civic R EK and a Sylvia S15, all doing 1:45 laps at Deep Forest. Sometimes vexing, but some of the best fun I've had making these little besties. Modded up the Suzuki Sport but it got late and I got hungry a bit ago. My stable of GT5 cars is slowly growing, up to about ten now.

Woke up early today so I could get the new update installed. Hopped onto Fisherman's Ranch for the daily grind and then did the Ferrari Cup at Catalunya to finish off the mileage requirements for the daily ticket. Received a 2* ticket and got 5k Cr (again 🥱).

I went on a bit of a shopping spree in the UCD and picked up both Subaru's, the 89 M3, Lancia and Miata (one can never have enough Miata's).

Just tried this idea and it works , thanks 👍

Switched the console on for the update (why does the update not roll while console is asleep ? wasn't it the reason why we should not switch it off entirely ?)

Went quite rapidly (less than 10mins download and install) and I went to check all the CE I've done previously to get my rewards (still no way of knowing which tracks you've done unless entering CE in each one).

As I have only bronzed part of them, I reveceived around 3M, that's allways good :D and now I have a new incentive to better my CE. (I was waiting for the patch to pursue, not knowing if rewards would be retroactive)

Does anyone know if there is a reward for silvering or is it just bronze or gold that bring rewards ?

Bought the Sub 22b and the RX7 at UCD :D
